What a trip!
My wife and I booked with Margaret before traveling to Grenada for our Honeymoon. Not booking with my resort felt like a bit of a risk but a risk I’m so glad I took.
Margaret responded very quickly to my emails and was always clear and upfront about the costs of the trip.
The trip is treated as a private tour so it was just my wife and I onboard with the crew which was really special. As it was private, we could choose where the skipper sailed and what we did.
Dennis our skipper was very talented. It was really fun to actually sail at sea compared to other tours I have done in the past which just use the engine.
Nina was the crew mate and she was lovely. Always kept us fed and watered whilst having lovely conversation.
The boat was really clean and had all the facilities you could want for a days sailing.
Our trip, took us to the underwater sculpture park where we went snorkelling with Nina. It was really cool to see the sculptures in the clear water. The boat had life jackets for swimming if you are not confident. After this visit we did some coastal sailing taking in the sights along the coast.
In summary, if you’d like a great days sailing in Grenada at a reasonable price book with Footloose, you will have a great time.

How to choose our favourite part of the day? Impossible, it was all perfect! Margaret and her crew, Meena and Dennis, ensured that our day on Timshell was the best day of our Caribbean holiday.
Seeing the Underwater Sculpture Park had been on my wish-list for a long time, Meena guided us to all of the sculptures and she gave wonderful explanations, it exceeded my expectations.
The whole day was memorable........ the company, the swimming, the food, the rum punch ....... I could go on. If I ever return to Grenada I will book a day on Timshell before I make any other plans.

Our day sail onboard the Timshel in February 2023 was very enjoyable and a highlight of our trip to Grenada for which I will share some details below.
From our initial email contact with Margaret (owner), right through to being dropped off at our hotel after our days sailing, we had a wonderful experience and will not hesitate to book again and recommend to others.
This was our first private charter booking and undoubtedly it will not be our last. Our day sail around the south west coast included a stop by Glovers island for snorkeling and Morne Rouge Bay for swimming/lunch. Being under sail the entire time was incredibly relaxing and in combination with the privacy and quietness with just the two of us plus crew members was perfect. The Timshel is in excellent condition, very clean and comfortable. Our very capable crew members Dennis and Mena were welcoming, a pleasure to be around and took great care of us. They assured us the boat was very stable and it certainly appeared that way even though the waters were pretty calm on our day.
An appetizing and fulfilling lunch was provided, cooked to perfection with marinated Swordfish, chicken and shrimp (a custom request), along with a few sides including an organic salad made with delicious delights from Margaret’s garden and fresh fruit to finish. The marinade on the Swordfish was exceptional and my husband was quick to ask Mena what her secret was!
Although catching fish would have been a bonus they were not tempted to bite on our day! We did see several schools of flying fish but nothing beyond that. Dennis certainly made up for it offering for us to steer the boat, for which I jumped at the opportunity…under his watchful eye I might add! This was a highlight for me (thank you Dennis!) and we sailed away from Glovers island, successfully did a tack maneuver and made our way into Morne Rouge Bay. After several of Mena’s rum punches it was time to kick back and relax, feel the wind in our hair and enjoy our remaining time on the water.
Thank you Margaret, Mena and Dennis for a wonderful experience. We will be in touch when our travels bring us back to Grenada. Happy sailing. Sue and Tim.

I wish I was able to give a higher rating than 5 out of 5 to Margaret and her team at Footloose Yacht Charters. The team was exceedingly accommodating, professional, knowledgeable, and hospitable - we were made to feel like close friends from the moment we stepped aboard. The sail itself was beautiful and we very much enjoyed the snacks and drinks provided, as well as the guided snorkeling tour through the underwater sculpture park.
We also loved hearing Margaret's local insight on the history of the island, recommendations for the best local spots to visit, and she put us in touch with Kerry who became our go-to for transportation for the rest of our stay.
I typically don't write many reviews online, but Margaret and her team really went above and beyond when I misplaced my phone on the catamaran. She went through great lengths to find my phone and then deliver it to the resort where I was staying. What could have tarnished the amazing experience we had in Grenada instead left me forever grateful that beautiful people like Margaret and her team will go out of their way to take care of those they meet and work with.
We hope some day very soon to be able to return to this beautiful destination and sail with the best charter on the island. Thank you, Margaret and Footloose Yacht Charters!

We had such a fabulous day. Conditions were perfect, the sea was glorious, we over took several mono hulls which made us feel like we were racing - Timshell is certainly built comfortably for speed. Margaret is so knowledgeable about the island and boy can she cook. BBQ lunch was delicious as any Al fresco dining is but moored with the glorious island of Grenada as your view is hard to beat. The rum punch ensured a nap in the nets - the most memorable day of our holiday.

Perfect day on the water! Margaret and crew were fantastic! We had a great day on the water with the skilled and experienced sailors on Timshel. They know their boat and the waters around Grenada and expertly handle this fast and perfectly suited catamaran. We stopped for some snorkeling at a beautiful spot then went off to an area near a beach where we anchored to have lunch and then swim some more. The food and the rum punch were just right. The winds were steady for the perfect sail on a clean and well-equipped boat that is designed for fun. We did a bunch of activities while on the island and this sail was by far the highlight of our trip there. And I want to go back and sail on this boat again!

We spend a wonderful day aboard the Timshell with Margaret (owner) and crew Meena and the Captain (can’t remember his name) I brought 9 girls to Grenada for my bachelorette weekend. The age range was 16-66 and the sail was perfect for every age. There are a few features the Timshell has that you won’t find anywhere else. It’s beam is extra wide, it’s super light and there is plenty of space for everyone to hang out. Margaret only rents to private parties and her boat is immaculate. The food was served hot and was delicious. Plenty of water and rum punch on board. I would recommend you let Margaret know the approx shoe size of your party so there can be enough fins for all (we went to the under water sculpture park) we needed mostly smaller sizes as all women. Aside from the rain that intermittently hit us on our trip and the flies (that come out in full force once the food is out) , the full day sail was excellent and I HIGHLY recommend Margaret and her fabulous crew to take you on a beautiful sail!

We had a wonderful day on Timshell, exploring the coastline, snorkelling, sipping rum punch and BBQ’ing on the boat. We were beautifully looked after by the team who offered us a fabulous array of drinks and freshly cooked fish and chicken on the BBQ, with salads and fresh fruit, all of which was delicious. The snorkelling was stunning and the underwater sculptures were carefully pointed out to us - we didn’t realise quite how many sculptures there are. Next time, (and we will definitely be going again), we would like to explore the top of the island and maybe sail back down on the Atlantic side! Thank you all for a memorable day.

A trip on Timshel with owner Margaret and crew of Dennis and Mina is a fabulous day out on the water. We had beautiful blue sky and sunshine but unfortunately the wind didn't play ball and we were under power for a good part of the trip. This doesn't take away from the experience though and we sailed past Grand Anse beach out to Point Salines where we picked up some wind from the eastern side of the island. I was again lucky enough in being allowed to assist the crew and was on the helm for a couple of hours. We then turned back and sailed to Morne Rouge beach, also known as BBC beach where we dropped anchor. We then spent a lovely time enjoying the water followed by a splendid lunch, all with easy access to the large cooler with what you wanted to drink in plentiful supply. Then we gently sailed back to Port Louis thoroughly exhausted but very content and back home. Highly recommend calling Margaret who can advise you on your options either half or full day sail. We had about 12 on this trip and there was plenty of room to relax either in the sun or shade whichever is your wish.
A trip not to be missed during your visit to Grenada.

We took a day sail up the west coast and it was exceptional. Our two crew members were wonderful and look after us so well, taking us on a great snorkel around the sculptures and explaining it along the way. Following this we anchored off honeymoon beach and had a bbq on the back of the boat, followed by a sail back to St George’s. if you are looking for a relaxing way to spend time on the water and find about Grenada, whilst under sail and no noisy motors, do this you won’t be disappointed. Margaret made booking really easy and provided us with lovely homemade food and BBQ. Have fun.

Hello, do you offer a full day snorkeling and sailing tour to several good spots on 22.,23. or 24.May?
If yes, which spots do you visit and how much time for snorkeling?

Does this tour take you where you can get grilled lobster?

Hello,
We don't usually offer grilled lobster, but can if ordered in advance.
Our usual luncheon consists of chicken and swordfish, with salads and seasonal fruit from our garden. All freshly cooked on board and served on board.
Take a look at our reviews for guest's comments about our luncheon.

Margaret

This may be a silly question, but I will ask anyway: when you say "sailing," are you actually under sail or is the boat using an engine? Thanks in advance, Stephanie.

Thank you for your interest.
We use the wind and the sails to power us, except for when we are maneuvering into and out of a mooring or dock.

Hello! I am here in Grenada visiting my brother who is in the Peace Corps (and a sailor!). He is going through a bit of boat withdrawal and I’d love to get him out for the day. I am here March 22- 25. Do you have any Day sails during that period? Thank you! Christine

Dear Christine,
Thank you so much for your day sail enquiry.
Unfortunately we are all booked for the dates you're interested in and have nothing to offer you.
Why not ask your brother to call me and maybe we can arrange something for after Easter. I know you won't be able to join us - but we'll toast you with some great Rum Punch!
Best regards,
Margaret

Do you mind if I ask how much it cost? We are interested in such an outing in February, but I don't see a price listed on the website, and the form isn't working to inquire.
Thank you!

We are looking at a 5 day charter for late July 2016 with 5 or 6 persons ncluding one 9 year old child. We would like to sail from Grenada to the Tobago Cays and back with a stop in Petite Matinique which is my wife's birthplace. What would be the approx cost of such a charter?
Margaret,
I've been trying to contact your company for several days inquiring for a private sail in August. I've left a telephone message, email online submission inquiry with no response. Both cell phone indicate they are no longer in service. HELP...
