Not much variation

Stalls are all very similar, you can haggle but not too much. People are very friendly and there are some hidden gems to be found. But all in all its much the same on most stalls.

it was a sunny day that I had a chance to visit the Market Square in St. George Grenada. I took the local bus which would charge me a $2.50 ECC money to get me to the market. The Market was small but had plenty of fruits to choose from especially fired corn that was cook from the small charcoal... More

Pleasant area to walk and take in the culture. Varied styles of vendors. I enjoyed chatting with the locals.

I've been on several occasions and my experience has varied every time. Best busy time to go is Saturday morning! Everyone is out. If you go at 2pm on a weekday afternoon it's quiet. I don't particularly like the new configuration but - the traders are there. It's mainly a spice market so whatever you are looking for - cinnamon,... More

My husband and I came here during one of our rainy days of our honeymoon this past July, and were disappointed in the area. The minute we got out of our taxi we were harassed by the locals wanting to "show us around as our tour guide" which we declined as we knew that they would expect payment. We did... More

A great experience - our friendly tour guide DANNY (booked through The Grenadian, Insight Tours) made this visit so good, we weren't bothered by ay sellers and got to purchase exactly what we were looking for; a great collection of spices to return with. Also quenched our thirst with a coconut, great kick to the system!

Our friends took us into Market to check it out. Lots of repeat items for sale. They will follow you trying to sell stuff. We discovered if we carried bags they didn’t approach us to much. We got our spices and cinnamon there to bring home. There was a guy fixing coconuts to drink and that was AWESOME!! Definitely should... More

I made sure to come home with nutmeg and cinnamon and added to the bag as I walked around. Nice stop. I don't suggest this as a shopping area.

Spice Market - the sellers pretty much have the same stuff on sale, seems like the stalls just repeat themselves over. Not as big and varied as I thought it would be. A lot of the spices in the bottles look kind of interesting and I'm consider myself to be adventurous in terms of food and spices, but a lot... More
