As Caribbean markets go, this one is average at best. It's friendly and safe, and brings together people from around the island, but after wandering around a block or two Saturday morning I had seen plenty. I didn't price out any crafts to see how...More

Not a big market, but largest in Grenada. Stalls with produce and spices. Also, local crafts available. I found all prices were negotiable.

There were more locals there than tourist and most of the items for sell were fruits and vegetables. We did find the a wide variety of spices, packaged for gifts.

I am hooked on markets and visit them whenever I travel. The market square in St. George's did not disappoint. I was able to purchase all my spice as well as some souvenirs and enjoyed every minute of my visit.

This was a fun place to go to buy spices. Also local food and beverages. Busiest on Friday and Saturday. Remember to pay in EC dollars so you don't over pay.

A very colourful market selling every food and spice you can imagine. If you walk and don't stop it can be pleasant, but if you stop, you will be pressured to buy something. It seems this is a real heart of the city and is...More
