We had a fabulous day! Amber took us on a cultural tour of the island. We wanted to get a sense of what Grenadian life was like. We stopped at the Rome Museum and had a personal tour of the artifacts by Mr. Rome, we stooped for Roti and wandered through the food and fish markets in Grenville, we drank coconut water from a fresh coconut before heading through the rain forest stopping by Gouyave and then by a waterfall before heading back south. She told stories about life here and we got to chat and laugh with a few local people. It was awesome and Amber was a delightful host. Her energy and love of Grenada was infectious.

Thank you so much for your kind words. I had a wonderful day with you, Lindy and Nancy. I loved how you wanted to soak up Grenada and really experience the culture. I hope you enjoyed your taste of Grenada, in more ways than one, and look forward to seeing you again. All the best.

We enjoyed our adventures so much with Wondering Soles Grenada that we decided to do a second excursion the next day! The first day we ventured out with Amber and did a hike to Mount Carmel waterfalls and swimming hole, La Sagesse Beach, Pearls Airfield to look at the derelict Cuban planes from the 1983 invasion, Grand Etang Lake monkey spotting and the Belmont Chocolate factory. Amber was a gracious and knowledgeable guide that knew how to engage our teen girls on our adventures. The day flew by quickly and we felt we had a truly Grenadan experience. We so enjoyed the tours that we opted to do a second day of excursions to the Concord Falls with Amber's colleague, Aisha. The weather was not the best as it was a constant rain but we opted to press on with the excursion and we loved the hike up to the falls. Aisha pointed out all of the different flora and fauna that were on the pathway and happily answered all of our questions about the abundant fruits and spices that we encountered. The hike is not too hard but definitely wear good Teva's or Kean's as the path can be muddy and there are rock scrambles and bush to deal with as you make your way. It's not a difficult trek and I think kids of 8+ wouldn't have too many problems provided they have the right footwear. Aisha drew on her scientific training and experience as a guide by being able to listen to the changing river sounds and determining that we needed to head back earlier than planned. This proved to be the absolute correct call as the rains continued to come down but now harder and the streams started to overflow their banks. Her right call at the right time enabled us to return safely and without incident. And we still loved the hike and the time we spent on the excursion. We are planning to come back to Grenada in a few years and will absolutely explore more of the island with Wondering Soles. Big thumbs up and highly recommend!

We went on the Concorde waterfall hike with Aisha. Apart from my husband and myself we just had one other lady with us so it was a lovely small group. We felt relaxed and comfortable and had a great day out. As described in earlier reviews Aisha is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. We gained so much information about the plants as well as about Grenada in general. We were fortunate to meet Kennedy who farms and cares for the land in the rainforest. He opened the most delicious coconuts I have ever tasted and expertly dug up and wrapped in leaves some clove plants for the lady in our group who is Grenadian.
The hike itself was not arduous but we were glad to have taken the advice with footwear and long trousers.
The swim and picnic at the falls was wonderful.
Thank you so much, Aisha for a great day out and I thoroughly recommend the trip

Bev, thank you so much for your review. I'm glad that you both enjoyed the day with Aisha, and what a treat that you ran into Kennedy. He isn't around all the time but is always helpful with coconuts and information about the rainforest when we do bump into him. I hope you enjoy the rest of your time in Grenada.

Amber with Wondering Soles was a wonderful, knowledgable guide. She took our soles to Au Coin falls and Fountainblue falls and it was an incredible experience. She navigated us through farm land like we've never seen before and trudged through roaring rapids. Thanks to the rain, the waterfalls were gushing! And the ground extra muddy. But super fun! Thankfully we were wearing water shoes and had bug spray. We felt like kids again on this hike. All wrapped up with a yummy sandwich and plantain chips.

We did a short hike toward Adelphi waterfall. The hike can be separated into two parts - the first part goes along the farmland in the middle of the forest. There is an opportunity to see Coconuts palms, banana, cacao, nutmeg, cloves, and cinnamon trees growing. The second part is path in the forest.
The hike itself (from the moment Aisha parked the car in Grand Etang area, up to the moment we returned to it) took us slightly above 1 hour. I thought it will be too short, but it was a good chunk of time actually! It was a very warm and humid day, and when it was time to climb back into the air-conditioned car, I was glad to do so. With the feeling that I had enough forest adventure for one day.

We spent a half day with Amber hiking to Fontainbleau and Au Coin waterfalls. She was prompt and informative as we drove the winding roads to our hiking base. The hike was challenging and fun, and the waterfalls were gorgeous rewards for the sweaty work to get there. Definitely listen to instructions on pants and closed footwear— there’s dense (thorny) vegetation and lots of slippery rocks and mud along the way. Highly recommend spending some time with Amber while in Grenada.

Amber was a great guide through the city and then into the rainforest. We had a phenomenal day and would do it again in a heartbeat. Be prepared to HIKE and wear long pants and good shoes. This hike comes with beautiful scenery, mud, and water. It was a great day!

One of a kind tour guide... One of a kind tour.

We've been hiking lots on the islands in the Caribbean, and this has been my favorite by far. She knows all the local routes to hidden waterfalls. We were literally the only ones there. She wasn't finicky about following a specific trail so I got to walk along the creek bouldering while she and my mom walked on the trail.
