The beach is really nice and if you are lucky you find a place without a lot of tourists. You can reach the beach with a rental car or motoconcho. Its a bit bumby. The waves are really nice and steong, so is the currency and i would be really careful going in the water.

If you're a beach lover, Playa Rincon is a secluded and impressive stop to add to your itinerary. It features a lengthy, picturesque shoreline subtly receding into crystal blue waters with gentle waves on one side of the nondescript beach restaurant and rollicking waves on the other. It is a public beach so dependent on when one arrives, finding an... More

Going to Rincon, you will be driving through a dirt road/beach road before getting close to ocean where you will reach a T junction. You can turn left and there would be some tourist oriented businesses/restaurant and a little river that joints the ocean, or you can turn right and drive close to a mile and find beach chairs, bars... The beach here is stunning but we were dismayed at the rubbish as we entered, although possibly this was due to the recent storms. This was a shame as it detracted from what was otherwise a site of completely natural beauty. Still well worth a visit if you're visiting this area of the Dominican Republic.

We visit Samana in Dominican Republic. Most people goes to Punta Cana, or Puerto Plata beaches in the north side of the island. But this beach, in Samana is a real paradise. Excellent food in a budget. Fresh seafood. People are beautiful and very nice. I would love to come back many, many times. I love it!

The most beautiful place I have seen in my life, remote and protected this place is a taste of paradise. When I imagine a beautiful beach, this is the place I have in mind. Crystal clear waters and white sand. We drank coco loco from coconuts and basked in the sun all day. Simply Devine

Nice beach lots of rocks near shore you have to watch where you walk in water - very strong tide - you can get knocked over by it. They are very fussy about which sun loungers you sit on - some are quite scruffy

If you are in samana and can go to playa rincón, you must go. This is one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever been to. The beach is almost as beautiful as playa flamenco in culebra, PR.

Dominicans need to be more respectful of the environment. I was rather disappointed when I reached Playa Rincon, as there was an incredible amount of rubbish on the beach! It was really hearbreaking seeing the beach in this state, especially having seen the photos of how the beach used to be and subsequently why it was voted one of the... More
