Great time! It is night club meets cirque de soleil! Some of the references were a bit dated (Beetlejuice?), but the performers are very talented and they do a great job of alternating between acts and dance music.

It is open bar, however the servers are more attentive if you are in the VIP rows or if you are willing to spend some $$$ for top shelf. We didn’t do either but my boyfriend’s native language is Spanish and the group next to us was buying top shelf so they let us tag on some free drink orders. If you don’t speak fluent Spanish it might be worth spending a bit more on tickets.

We did just the general admission which was perfect, we stayed in Bavaro and there was a shuttle from the BAM Market or the Whala! if you had bought tickets in advance.

This is like no other club experience I’ve ever had. It’s a concert/party, there are stage performances and acrobats. Definitely pay for the unlimited drink package, you’ll be happy you did. You’re gonna spend your entire night here and it will fly by so quickly but it is so much fun.

Really great show. 3 hours of great fun( you can stay longer but the show lasts about that long). Make sure not to miss it!
Best to book online in advance. From our experience it is a very safe place. Even the bar outside of the club. Very attentive staff. Wear party clothes. There are different packages available. We paid $70 pp but prices start from $30
Make sure your hotel arranged a return taxi for you. There are lots of people offering taxi services but we were advised by our hotel not to use it.

Coco Bungo was quite the experience. We had no idea what to expect but had to upgrade upon arrival when we realized the environment required standing for five hours!!!!! 😳
It is definitely a mix of performances and a DJ that keeps the audience fully engaged.
Issues:
1. Be prepared to be in a very crowded environment. Even with the costly upgrade the three levels on the lower level were jam packed and very hard to go up and down due to the crowd.

2. Drinks are terrible. Asked for orange juice and received something orange but it was like a watered down version of some
kind of imitation.

3 If you like loud music this is for you. Otherwise brings some air plugs. The decibel level of the
Music is overwhelming.

4. Bathrooms lacked toilet paper and even with an attendant they were less than clean.

I choose to go here for my birthday looked good and reviews good.
However not for the faint hearted, Very loud and show goes on in-between disco and think if you were in the mid to older age category and don't like loud music this i snot the place to go.
VIP ticket purchase choice for drinks at table not great service going into the night was excellent but once seated your forgotten as it get too busy, more fun if your are standing so you can dance. too much paper wastes every few minutes streamers in the air in your hair, on your clothes, in drinks, etc.. For ever pulling out paper streamers. Taking photos then charge you for doing so.. 25$ a go.
Active busy place fun for the young and single. Kept blowing air up peoples skirts to show their underwear (Be aware) if you attend.

Fantastic show but so sexist!
The acrobats and dancers were amazing, and the production that had gone into each part of the show was very well orchestrated. Very much a dopamine hit after another, a sensory overload!
We had gold member tickets and our waiter was very attentive and always topping our drinks up, plus a great view at the back of everything, away from the craziness downstairs.
However, one thing that ruined the vibe for both my boyfriend and I was how they were treating women, zooming in on their bums for “booty cam”, blowing air up their skirts whilst forcing them to drink alcohol out of a bottle or upskirting them whilst dancing. The men were encouraged to join in the “fight scenes” and women were there to look pretty and get publicly humiliated. It’s 2020, there is no need for this. It left a bad taste in our mouths to see such blatant sexism- move with the times and you could have an incredible show!

My sister and I went out for a girls night because our host kept suggesting the Coco Bongo. The shows are awesome especially the “rope” artist. The Disco (aka club) portion is pretty awesome as well. Lots of different music is played. The ONLY down side/women be aware, if they call you up on the main stage area (where the shows are preformed) there is wind/air that they blow and it will blow your dress up for everyone to see your butt. They also lock a chain/gate behind you so you cannot immediately get out. There were a couple of women who visibly showed they were upset and they still didn’t immediately let them out unfortunately. So, don’t go at least if you have on a dress that easily goes up. Besides that good show.

I went to Coco Bongo's with my husband and we had a fabulous time. We bought the basic ticket, but we were taken care of from the moment we walked through he doors. Our glass was never empty and the shots kept coming. I was brought to dance on the perch at the top of the room, I danced on the bar and my husband even danced on the bar with me. We had so much fun.
One of the employees did get a little inappropriate with me near at the end of the night, but I brushed it off because I did not want it to take away from the fun that we had up until that point. The show was fun to watch as well. It looked like everyone was having a great time!

Personally, I thought the tickets were way overpriced. (Plus, we were promised cheaper prices by people who knew people, which all fell through. But my group really wanted to go). I have to say, the entrance fee was definitely worth it. I am definitely looking forward to seeing the other Coco Bongos in other places. The production quality is incredible. We never felt like it was a cheaply produced product. Very well done. What's more is the staff. Everyone was incredible. Plus it seems like it's in there job description to have fun. They were all dancing and enjoying the show and music as much as we were. I highly recommend going this if you have the opportunity. Also, save yourself the headache and just book directly with Coco Bongo or one of the representatives. If can, try and book with Fabrice. His goal is honestly to give you the best experience possible.

Was sceptical, in our early 30s and not big on nightclubs etc, but pleasantly surprised. Went for the cheapest option ($75, standing only) and loved the atmosphere on the lower level. Join the queue as soon as you arrive! It’s huge.

Good points:
Everyone friendly & there for a laugh. Performers fantastic - genuinely talented & incredibly strong. Won’t spoil any of the acts.
Anthony served us drinks back and forth from the bar all night, he was wonderful. Tip where you can, they work so hard.
Booked through our TUI rep - included transfers.
Only 30 mins from SENSATORI

Bad points:
Some of the humour was directed towards people, somewhat unkindly.
Some poor girls were pulled up on the bar & had cold air blown up their dresses and skirts to reveal their underwear to everyone & on the big screen - totally tasteless.
Went on for 30 mins too long for my liking and finding your bus at the end was a pain as they’d changed the numbers.

If you don’t take it too seriously you’ll have a good night, fun music to dance to and good atmosphere, tacky as you like but that’s what it’s designed to be. I wouldn’t pay anymore than the standard cheap option for it, but if you’re in town, worth a trip!
