You really have to applaude the genius of Jack Nicklaus with this layout! The only reason this didn't get a 5 is because someone chose to use this coral rock in the waste bunkers and off the fairway which is tough to hit out of and messes up your high dollar irons!

Response from alandaeta, Public Relations Manager at Punta Espada Golf Course

Dear Tim, We appreciate your feedback. The original golf course design included coral gravel waste area. The coral gravel is a soft rock, softer than the iron of the club and therefore no marks are left on clubs when hitting from these areas. Even so, we do understand that this may not be the impression it provides and it is something we are looking into and evaluating adding sand to areas that are more directly in play. Thank you, Punta Espada Team

The course is a great design a lot of risk reward holes. Stunning visuals. Great condition. The only complaint I have is that on a course where you are paying 300-400 dollars your caddie should have a range finder. The distant markers are only every 50 yards and no markings on the sprinkler heads.

We had an incredible experience playing at Punta Espada Golf Course. The grounds are well kept, views unparalleled and caddies Hose and Cecilio knew exactly how to guide us through each par. We look forward to going back again soon!

This is a gym of a course. The facilities are of great quality and the course was in fantastic shape. I would like to return and play on a not so rainy day. However, this was a fantastic scenery and a good experience for all of us who went.
