About
Punta Espada Golf Course is already listed among the worlds finest, with the renowned GolfWeek ranking it as the best golf course in the Caribbean and Mexico. Eight holes play along and over the sea. From all points of Punta Espada, golfers are blessed with extraordinary views of the Caribbean, where the sea contrasts against the emerald fairways and the perfect greens. Challenging stroke play and beauty are entwined in this outstanding par 72 course, which hosted the inaugural PGA Tour’s Champions Tour in April 2008 - The Cap Cana Championship. The annual tournament is televised internationally through the Golf Channel and its license-holding subsidiaries.

The only reason this isn't a 5 start is because of the rental clubs. While Titleist T300s are great irons, they only offer steel shaft blades. No offset option, or graphite shafts. I play a graphite shaft with an offset head. This make the course that much more challenging.

It is the most beautiful course I've ever played. Armando was a great caddie that's been in the business for a long time. He knew the course well and picked up on our playing ability very quickly.

The wind was a challenge as well and the greens were super fast. Almost like putting on concrete. If we played more than one day I would have shipped my clubs there. But for $65 the rental clubs will suffice. I just hope they have more options. I would think a course that is #1 in the Caribbean would have more club options

Played as a single on a Friday afternoon and played in less than two hours. Ran into two other groups and they let me play through.

Jorge was my caddie and we got along well, he did a good job giving me numbers and course advice.

The views on the course are spectacular! 8 holes border the ocean and provide some great golf holes.

The back 9 was punched a few weeks ago and I was not I formed of this before hand and there were many dead spots in the fairways with little to no grass. There was no change in the price to reflect playing conditions.

I also paid $65 for rental clubs and was disappointed with 5 year old titleists with grips that felt like they have never been changed. The Scottie Cameron putter grip was atrocious.

They bill themselves as the #1 course in the Caribbean and I understand that course maintenance is a must but give your guests a heads up. And while the rentals are a bit dated, keeping up with decent grips is not difficult or expensive.

I recently had the privilege of playing Punta Espada Golf Club.
The experience was absolutely amazing!
The views were spectacular, and the course was in great condition.

I have played many nice courses including Pebble Beach, and this course stacks up with the best courses anywhere.

The staff was very friendly. I was helped at the club by Felipe Gonzalez.
Felipe welcomed me and made my club experience wonderful.

I would highly recommend this course to anyone looking for a
once in a lifetime golf experience.

Thank you, Felipe for your Five Star treatment!

I love to play golf, so i decided to visit this course. Videos and images thru the internet doesn’t make any justice to this jewel. You don’t know if you want to play or just admire the beauty. It’s a really challenging course, but if you get Gilberto as a caddy you will be in good hands. Hope i can play there again..

The course is a great design a lot of risk reward holes. Stunning visuals. Great condition. The only complaint I have is that on a course where you are paying 300-400 dollars your caddie should have a range finder. The distant markers are only every 50 yards and no markings on the sprinkler heads.

What a great course and views are fantastic, not really worth the cost of 300 dollars but had to play it.
Unfortunately the caddy that we had got upset when we gave him 50dollars tip, even though 30 is recommended.
Thought value for money at 200 dollars less was La Cana views just as good and course is fantastic as well.

Was fortunate to play Punta Espada last week. They arranged for a driver to pick us up at our resort (Sanctuary Cap Cana) at no additional cost. The course was EMPTY! Only a few other groups out there. We played behind a retired MLB all star. The greens fees were not cheap, but the property is well worth the cost. We rented clubs, as I would recommend you do as well. The bunkers and waste areas are a bit rocky and will ruin a good set of irons. The rental sets could use to be updated as they were a bit beat up with old grips, not great with sweaty hands. (Titleist AP1 irons, approx. 5 years old)

The course was extremely playable, even in the high wind. The course conditions were excellent, and we tend to have high standards as our home club is impeccable. The women in the pro shop were cheerful and eager to help. The clubhouse was beautiful and locker rooms has Sun Bum sunscreen (our favorite).

Our caddie, Armando, was fantastic and made us feel at home. He was quick to recommend a line or cheer on a great shot. "BUENO BALLO!!!"

We highly recommend this course if you are in the area. No mystery as to why Golf magazine has it listed as the #18 Top Course You can Play!

Keep up the great work and look forward to seeing you again!

The golf course was spectacular and would give it a 10! The service was average for what you pay. Most disappointing was our caddie (Anthony) who disappeared for two holes and the caddie master who seemed oblivious to our concern. Did I mention our caddie did not take our clubs off the cart at the conclusion of our round!

Spectacular! The most beautiful course I have ever played. Israel my caddie was amazing and did a wonderful job. The Mang! Very knowledgeable, friendly, and told me exactly where to hit each shot. Played as a single on a Monday afternoon. My wife rode along and was blown away by the courses beauty. Israel helped navigate around a few groups and then it was just us. No one in front and no one behind. Enjoyed every second of my 3 hr round. It's hard for me to spend this much on a round of golf but I have no regrets. Worth every penny! I have not stopped thinking about this experience almost week later. The only negative was renting clubs. They were fine but not mine.

The views from this golf course are amazing! I booked a tee time last minute, so it was very hot in the afternoon. Try to book a morning tee time to avoid that sun as best you can. Bring your own balls as well, they are super pricey in the club house.

The caddie I felt was a bit overkill, something that they require for every golfer. However Eddie was amazing and very patient because I wasn’t playing my best! I appreciated him, but I don’t think it was necessary to make every golfer have one.

Overall, it’s a must do while in Punta Cana. The course was under maintaince while we’re there, but you can tell they maintain the place very well
