I booked a "Swim with the Sea Lions" encounter for me and my boyfriend while in Punta Cana through the Dolphin Island company. I thought it was a great deal at $75 a piece since it also included a snorkel with sharks and sting rays. We booked our trip for 1:15pm, and were told to be at the lobby of... More

I have always wanted to swim with dolphins and wanted to make sure that I wasn't encouraging the mistreatment of these amazing beings. I found this place and saw nothing but great reviews (that these animals were the ones saved from other places that mistreated them) and so thought I would give it a try. I was not disappointed at... My family and I were looking forward to swimming with dolphins. Our adventure started out by the bus picking us up 45 minutes late then we drove around for an hour and 15 minutes picking up guests at other hotels. When we finally arrived at our destination and brought out to swim with the dolphins--it was very structured and controlled.... More

I recently went to Dolphin Island while I visited the Dominican Republic. Swimming with the dolphins is something that I have always wanted to do. The day started off with issues. I was supposed to be picked up at my hotel at 7:20 in the morning. However, an hour later I was still sitting in the lobby. The concierge at... More

I really enjoyed our time on dolphin island, make sure you dont give the voucer to the drive! we had to wait an hour and half so they could call "headquarters" to get verification. Trip itself was fun, we also got to snorkel with stingrays and sharks! DVD is very expensive, they charge $ per person in your group. we... More

Went to this "attraction" having already read the comments posted here. Expecting that it could be a rip off or wonderful but just being satisfied with getting to touch a dolphin!! It was amazing and even more than I expected. First off, the staff were absolutely wonderful, spoke at least 6 languages each and were friendly and interactive. The prep... More

My daughter and I signed up for the dolphin and sea lion encounter. First, the positives: very professionally run, the animals looked well taken care of. We had a great time stroking the dolphins. We had even more time with the sea lion, which turned out to be a lot more fun than I thought. The photos were more reasonable... More

Ok, so this was the one thing I wanted to do on my honeymoon if possible and there it was! Yes, it is pricey and yes some people will not be happy with the time, although when we were done it seemed like we were there much longer then we were. The animals were nice. We even swam with a... More
