Love the experience of the Catamaran over this beautiful Caribbean Sea. Went with the whole family and had a great fun day in the sand. 100% recommended. Maybe you will need to take (if needed) dramamin :)
Bought this trip from sellers doing the rounds in our hotel grounds (Sirenus Punta Cana Resort Casino & Aquagames) - big mistake - book with the hotel - the trip was a disaster from start to finish- not only were we taken across the island...More
The beach is beautiful. The snorkeling was excellent. Lunch on the island was good and we enjoyed the fact that snorkeling gear and kayaks were available for use on the island. Tour guides were fantastic.
We took a Catamaran out to the island and stayed on the island for about 3 hours. Its a lovely swimming and snorkeling spot and the water is crystal clear and an amazing shade of blue and turquoise. Food was great (BBQ on the beach),...More
We snorkeled off the shore of Isla Catalina and loved the clear waters. Our trip also had pier rights so we enjoyed a luncheon, open bar and snorkeling/swimming from the island as well. Bathrooms and a nature walk are also available on the island.
The trip to Catalina island was okay. It was a long slow process to arrive, we spent most of our day travelling very slowly.
The beach was beautiful. We unwillingly took photos with the photographers.
On the way back we ended up buying the pictures...More

My husband and I really enjoyed our trip to Isla Catalina. We went a few days after going to Isla Saona. We bought the excursion off a local company on the beach (we paid 50$ USD per person) for transport to the island, drinks and...More
Beautiful beach and clear waters - great for dives and snorkel. Water can be rocky around the beaches so water shoes are recommended. Not as crowded as expected as the island isn't inhabitant so it is only tourists that venture there. There are some hagglers...More

Hello Graham, Well I booked it online, but I will tell you that you should also be able book this from your resort. I found it would have been a little cheaper and you can also ask the questions as far as how long it will take you to get to the boat (it took us about 2 hours with all the stops we had) so I do not recommend going that route. You definitely want to go snorkeling and to Catalina Island but I would recommend you book through the resort so you can ask the questions on the travel times. We heard from others it was more organized with whom they booked through at the resort. I hope this helps.
