This excursion is available for guests of the Bayahibe, Dominicus and La Romana hotels and Punta Cana resorts. The Catalina & Chavon tour is a half day snorkel excursion to the island Catalina. The excursion combines the sea and the jungle, nature and culture, and poor and rich. This is a perfect tour for when you want a lot of variation and diversity in your outing. We will snorkel at the Living Museum of the Sea, where in 2007 the wreck of captain William Kidd was discovered. Followed by snorkeling of the beach of Catalina in the aquarium. We will peek at the rich along the coat of Casa de Campo. You will experience a jungle cruise through the breathtaking gorge of the Chavon River...This all-encompassing tour is ideal for children and offers great value as a family excursion (not a “booze cruise”). Tortuga Cruise again offers a fully jam-packed fun half day emphasizing ecology and the preservation of nature while creating memories of a lifetime.

Nice beach with good snorkling! Was there after some weather disturbance, so water wasnt as calm and clear. Needs better toilet/changing facility.

Booked the excursions to Catalina Island with Air Canada vacations. Top notch from start to end. Transportation was great and comfortable, loved the Catalina Island, the beach is beautiful with crystal warm water. We enjoyed every bit! On our way back from Catalina Island, we then visited the Casa de campo resort, which is awesome, felt like being in Europe... More

This beach is very beautiful and even though there were many tour operators with various groups on the beach it didn't feel crowded. The waters are warm and beautiful. the sand is soft and the beach is surprisingly clean. I ate the best fish I've had on this beach.

We snorkeled all day. The beach is beautiful with crystal clear warm water. There was a small reef full of beautiful fish and sea urchins. The food served was very good. I would definitely recommend this trip to anyone who likes the beach.

The place was pretty. The water was warm and crystal clear. However, the place is overcrowded because so many people are sent there on snorkeling and dive excursions. Therefore, the snorkeling is over used and limited in scope. Once you get there, plan on being there for hours in the sun. I mean hours with limited shade.

My trip to Catalina Island was a really nice day. I had two excellent dives on the reef off of the island (which were the nicest I'd seen on this trip). The food was very good and my Tour Operator, SeaPro, ensured we all had plenty to drink. I must say though that the available activities on shore were a... More

Blue seas, white sands, palm trees, tropical fish swimming around you, good snorkelling in shallow water. Catalina Island has it all, although you will more likely get there by buying one of the boat excursions to the island. There are facilities on the island, such as massage (which was relaxing until I agreed to having it "strong", which then resulted... More

Gorgeous beach. Way too crowded. The shop there was bare. The snacks were overpriced. $4 for a small bag of chips. Not enough shade.
