We went on a mega truck excursion were it took you through the villages, schools and local cigar shops, then up in the mountains to where it’s all made at a family’s house and land. We tasted coco bean, chocolate, coffee and much more..which you can purchase from them from a range of coffee, body butter, oils, rum ect. Then we moved on to there local beach which was stunning! On the way back we all went horse riding which was so funny and an experience we will never forget. There is so much to do in punta Cana and the excursions are amazing.

We were picked up at 7.15 for a 1hr 10 minute ride to the departure point. When we arrived it was in a dirty beach with hundreds of people it was chaos. Difficult to find a guide to tell us what boat we were on. Eventually boarded after a 1.15 wait to be herded onto a boat with 70 people 3 nationalities therefore 3 guises to translate. You spend so much time in the morning going to ' Blue Lagoon ' island off the boat 20 minutes back on the boat. 30 minutes more and off to another small island for coconut and rum 30 minutes on the island then all aboard back on again. Star fish swim is Ok but feel sorry for the poor starfish By the way no toilets at all until the lunch break at 1.45 ! Ok for pee pee in the sea but if you have a dodgy tummy watch out. Another stop at the local village all off again then back on. The island for lunch is a line up buffet the foods ok and it's an open bar. The sea is great. The Catamaran ride back as opposed to the speed boat was very nice and again an open bar. Would have been good without so many stops. Boats are crammed and you feel like a Syrian refugee.

Had 2 amazing trips booked through nexus tours via our hotel at chic Punta cana. Dieuliphete was amazing at helping us find the best trips. The buggies and Saona island are a must if you come to visit Punta cana. Fun from the start. Beautiful island at Saona and the buggies you get to see the different town. 5* all round. Thank you !!

We chose concept tour because it advertises an elite excursion to saona island with few people... It'a lie! We were over 30 people on our way to the island and over 60 on the way back! They found a fishy excuse about the weather and we had to accept another group with us on the catamaran trip back. It was so crowded we couldn't all feel at ease. The island itself was nice & the lunch was good. The trip to the natural swimming pool nice as well. The snorkeling is definitely an insult to mankind's intelligence though: we were 200m from the Harbor with plastic bottles and bags flotting around us and smell of boats fuels... a shame... and there was actually very little to see. We wouldn't do it again even though we tried to make the best of it!

We started our trip from the Royalton Hotel in Punta Cana and traveled to Saona. It was from 7-7:30. We took a 2 hour ride (bumpy, stop start for an hour). When we got to our destination we loaded up on a speed boat, which was also bumpy and jarring to the back. We then went to natural pool that was waist deep with star fish. We got to have our pictures taken with them and the folks leading the tour were very specific that the starfish could only be out of water for 3 seconds. We then went to the island where we got dropped off. We got to spend about 2 hours bathing in the sun, being bugged by vendors and ladies that wanted to give us massages. The islanders had a buffet for us that was very good. There is a lot of trash on this island so I spent time cleaning it up. Mostly the trash is from Concept Tours because they supply the cups that end up on this island. I asked the tour guide to be sure to tell people to throw away their trash. Oh and people threw their plastic cups in the ocean where the star fish were also. I was furious! Ok enough about the trash. We then got onto a catamaran. We got more to drink and they had dance music on the boat. This catamaran trip could have been so much better. The crew were more interested in themselves than any of the guests. The gals that were working were more interested in how they looked and talking to each other that it made the trip weird. I wrote down the names of the gals - Gloria she was the worse. She had these short shorts on and was shaking her butt not for the entertainment of the tourists, but for her own pleasure, and Melinda and Vanessa followed in her footsteps. It was clear that Gloria was in it for herself and the other ladies just didn't know any better. They took up the whole dance floor leaving it very hard to learn the dances. Plus I am not really sure they cared if you were having fun.
