While our adult family of 13were sitting by the pool at our resort in Punta Cana (Breathless) a cute young lady approached us and asked us if we would like to take an Excursion. At that point we were interested because the young man who was with the company we booked with could not get our party of 13 a good rate. So miss Bebe with Sea Pro asked us to give her a try. We ended up going on a 4 Hour Excursion which started out with beverages, and a instruction on how to snorkel and then off into the water which was such an awesome experience because I've never snorkeled before. What an amazing experience! When that was over we had a nice boat ride to the Natural Pools where we had more beverages, a nice choice of alcoholic beverages, and an appetizer while we were in the water. We also had a photographer on board who photographed are snorkeling experience as well as our entire boat ride and also while we were having a blast in the water with our family and new friends. It was such an awesome experience and the price that Sea Pro gave us was totally awesome! The other company could not match it! So, if you stay at Breathless Punta Cana there is a small building right on the beach that is where Sea Pro is located. If you see a man there that looks like Sammy Hagar you have the right place, he is one awesome dude and will do his best to give you a great deal! See the folks at Sea Pro before booking with anyone else you can't go wrong!

Feb 2-9, 2020....Vianca works for SeaPro and asked about water excursions we declined and said we were looking to do dune buggy’s. Vianca pointed us in the right direction. Vianca was never pushy and was very friendly. Unfortunately we lost our phone on the transport. I had no other number and contact Vianca. Vianca to the rescue. She was on it right away and contacted our excursion rep. They found the phone and Vianca made it a point to deliver the phone back to us personally at the pool at Breathless Resort. This is outstanding service from someone who did not benefit from us booking a excursion outside her company but still wanted to help us when needed.

We booked the snorkeling and soana island boat trip from the rep at the dreams palm beach resort. We were worried if it was suitable for us and our 9 month old baby but the rep was amazing and put us at ease. Also booking through seapro was half the price of that quoted for the same trip supplied by tui.
The trip was the best day of our holiday the staff on the boat couldn't do more to help or assist in any way. They ensured we had everything we needed and even entertained the baby which was an added bonus.
Soana island and it's beautiful crystal clear water is a must see.

I dealt with Kat for reservations, and did 6 local dives with Rodolfo, Max, and Craig. All of the dives were very well coordinated and their equipment is in great shape. The dive masters are professional and safe. Kat did a great job explaining their process and got me setup perfectly.
The coral is not in great shape. Know that going in. But the wrecks and cavern dives were great. On the way back from my last dive of this trip, we saw humpback whales in the distance. The boat operator wheeled us over to them and we got 30 minutes of whale watching. An experience I won't forget. It did however, push the idea of booking another trip here at the same time of year and including a shake watching tour. End of Jan through March...be here then!
I absolutely recommend Seapro Divers for your diving needs in Punta Cana.

Well, where to start? Seapro was at our resort and pushing their trips. Wife and I love to snorkel and read how great this island was to visit. Very disappointed, Seapro packs people in undersized Van's and buses for hours, with odd pickups here and there of their staff. They herd you into a little shop where a staff dude looks at your feet and guesses at the size of Flippers you get.. mask are old and leak.
If they didn't overbook your lucky to get on board your catamaran. Snorkel spots were good and could have been better if staff threw bread onto the water to attract fish, not eat most of it!#$%%^
We finally reached the famous Sonoma island for lunch and beach time. Lunch was adequate but not impressive with the only drinks being small 6oz plastic glasses of coke or beer, no ice. The water was supplied by a cooler jug set up in the hot sun ! Perfect!
The beach was nice but small, our resort beach was far better!
We finally got back on board to head back only to find the ship ran so low in gas it could only run 1 engine and therefore took us twice as long to get back to port. We then reloaded into the same cramped bus, what a joke and 2 hrs later made it back to our Dreams Palm Beach Resort..Not Fun!
Best advice is forget the Sonoma island crap, find a trip that specializes in snorkeling or scuba diving.
Your resort beach is probably as good or better!

Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback, we are sorry to hear that you did not enjoy this popular day trip. Picking up in Punta Cana can be challenging as there are more than 50 resorts in various locations accessible by highly trafficked one way roads. In order to provide a better service and reduce the amount of time taken to pick up guests we send separate pick up shuttles to different locations. This enable us to save time when picking up guests (as 4 shuttles are picking up at the same time instead of one) as well as ensure that guests on board do not have to exceed 3 hotel stops. Once all guests are picked up we board a large motorcoach vehicle for comfort for the journey to Bayahibe.
It seems that your transportation complaints is a result of the actual location of the hotel. Dreams Palm Beach is located in Cabeza de Torro which is completely isolated from there rests of the resorts in Bavaro-Punta Cana including all major roads (there are only 3 resorts in this location). In order to get to your resort you have to travel for 25 minutes on a one-way curvy road with construction.
January is our winter high season and hotels are in high occupation. We have reviewed all of the trips to Saona this month and trips have not exceeded 80% Capacity (leaving 20% spots open).
Saona is a very popular island that is a favorite of many tourists, if you did not like Saona and prefer your resort beach that is great, in general most visitors do enjoy the peace and tranquility of being a rustic island away from modern day distractions.

Our group did the snorkeling and natural pool day. We had such an amazing day, we decided to go back for a second day. The staff and crew were very professional and accommodating to our requests. They pointed out sea life while snorkeling and pointed out sea turtles while we were riding on the boat. While at the natural pool, they made sure our drinks were always full and we were able to play our own music! We always felt very safe and would recommend to anyone.

After finishing our theory and practical back in our home city, my partner and I did our referral dives (the four open water dives) required to get certified in sunny Punta Cana. SeaPro Divers was a fantastic choice and we highly recommend them! Firstly, they were super accommodating by letting us move the date by a couple of days because I wasn't feeling well. Secondly, our instructor, Daniel, was incredibly thorough, took great care of us to make sure we knew what to do and had a great time and even captured some great memories for us

We booked a deep sea fishing charter with Sea Pro out of the Dream's Palm Beach Resort. We had enough people to book a private charter for $825 USD. First, their fish finder was broken so we didn't have that option. The boat was not in very good shape. They spoke very little English so communicating with the crew was very difficult. Then after approx. 2 hours out there with no luck at all, the motor quit working. They had to pull all the fishing lines immediately (I'm guessing so they didn't tangle). After we floated for over an hour out in 5' swales slamming against the boat (all of us sea sick), they finally got it going! The guy had to stay inside the motor compartment holding what seemed to be the throttle. It took about an hour or so to limp us back in to where the boat could then be towed.
This kind of thing happens and is understandable. However, the way we were treated when asking them to make it right was horrific! They wanted us to accept what happened and leave them alone!
The guy named Alfredo who booked us the trip was a two faced snake! He kept saying we were "family" at the time of booking. Then when asked for him to make it right after breaking down, he completely ignored us & just wanted us to go away! He outright lied in front of others wanting to book excursions. He would tell us that he would make it right and return our money to keep us calm as we were very upset. Then when the other people finished their booking and left the area, he would completely change his story and say he never said that. Then he would leave again and we would stand there and wait. It was so unprofessional and rude to be treated that way after an already bad experience!! All we wanted them to do was make it right by us! It was such a horrible ordeal. Never again!!

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us, we deeply regret not having satisfied your expectations, it is very important the opinion of our clients to help us improve our services.
We are a bit confused as to how the whole story was not told from your part.
First, you paid $800 usd for the private fishing charter.
Second, the fish finder was working proparly, but there are times when fish won't bite and nobody can guarantee the catch.
Third, several members of the boat crew speaks english.
Next, the motor engine did broke down but on the way back, after you had 4 hour of fishing and it was fixed rapidly. The sea can be rough during winter months and we always worn about that fact.
Lastly, you were refunded on the same day, right after you get back to the hotel.
We also confronted you with the crew and sales rap, but when you saw you can't lie anymore, you changed the story on the spot. I guess you decided later to starts with the lays on internet.
We always admit our mistakes and try to improve, and we highly value everyones opinion if it is true.
The only truth that you wrote is that you haven't catsh anything and that the motor broke down.

Really poorly trained dive masters and no cooperation among them which meant the following:
No rope or even warning there was a strong current when me and another diver had to wait in the Water which meant I had a really hard time geting back to the boat.
. Another diver had faulty equipment.
One of the divers had Five days which I guess means she Maybe was not certified. She crashed into the corals with the tank and the dive master didnt make sure to hold on to her.
The diving on the first dive Maybe lasted 15 minutes.
On the other dive the dive master and the two inexperienced divers left me and another diver and we ended up following another group and could do a safety stop.
This is massproduced diving by a big company that does not care about the environment or safety, its all about making money.

So we stayed at the impressive resort in Punta Cana, the agents for seapro are looking to sell many different excursions and there approach can be a little heavy handed, we managed to find one (Carlos Garcia) who is actually a diver so booked. On meeting the actual dive masters , Max , Kraig and Yoni we quickly found out that that they deserve the 5 star PADI award.
6 dives with Max and Kraig ( 5 reefs 1 wreck) on the Atlantic side and we found them to be very professional and constantly doing what a good dive master should do.
2 dives with Yoni (the fish) on Saona , 1 amazing wreck and 1 reef later, again an amazing dive master.
Please do not be put off If the sales approach is a bit much, they are excellent to dive with.
6 dives with Max and Kraig ( 5 reefs 1 wreck) on the Atlantic side and we found them to be very professional and constantly doing what a good dive master should do.

So, I have heard mixed reviews about the quality of diving in Punta Cana. Is there much to see on dives?

In Punta Cana, there are many different dive sites. Some of them are very good and there are some with less corals and marine life but with interesting wrecks and caves.
We have around 20 different dive sites which gives divers more options for diving.

I want to book the stingray and shark snorkelling trip however, it looks like the stingrays are kept in an enclosed "at sea" enclosure. Can anyone confirm if they are actually wild or whether it's a bit like Sealife and they are kept in an enclosure.

Didn’t go ourselves but we met some guys who did and yes, they are kept in a ‘cage’ just out on sea.
Just go for a days snorkelling with the guys to Soana Island... it’s not on the cheap side but is fully worth the money 🤙🏻

Hi Taby, thanks for contacting SeaPro Divers You are able to start the Advance Open Water Course right after the Open Water. Each course will take 3 days to complete and both PADI Courses can be completed in Punta Cana during your vacation.

We only had 4 on our boat, some days were less. I was doing some training, daily dives and we didn’t have any rough seas. If you email, they (Katarina) were always quick to respond.

You can suggest but ultimately is the dive master decision after he or she has done an early inspection dive looking for best conditions and visibility.

The Saona Island Dive Excursion is $195 For a Certified Diver. This includes roundtrip transportation, 2 dives, dive guide, Lunch and Drinks on the Island and the national park fee.
I personally enjoyed this trip over Catalina.
There is also an option for Beginner Divers to participate in the Saona Island Excursion.
Because these are full day trips they are more expensive than a local dive in Punta Cana (the diving is much better)
You are able to book your dive trip online at the SeaPro website and save 10%

Pour ma part j'apporte toujours mon masque et mon tuba. Toutes les excursions de snorkeling auxquelles j'ai participé ont fourni le masque, le tuba, les palmes ainsi qu'une veste de sécurité gonflable. Le coût de location de ces équipements est inclus dans le prix initial de l'excursion. Il n'y a pas de remboursement si vous avez les vôtres.
For my part I always bring my mask and my snorkel. All the snorkeling trips I attended provided the mask, snorkel, fins and an inflatable safety vest. The rental cost of this equipment is included in the initial price of the tour. There is no refund if you have yours.
