About Pirate Rum Factory & Taino Cave Tour
The Pirate Rum Factory & Taino Cave Museum tour is well received as something different and unique in Punta Cana, because it is interesting and informative of the rich history that goes back 500 years before Christopher Columbus named Hispaniola. On your private tour a professional tour guide will take you and your family through a 4 million year old cave with bats, a waterfall, Tainos & Taino gods and explain the rich history of the Dominican Republic since the days of the Tainos, Christopher Columbus, Spanish conquistadors, pirates, and the Dominican Republic. You will be surprised to learn the 500-year history that brings us to the Dominican Republic today. Naturally, this ties in with the pirate rum and the hand painting of the bottles, the taste of rum infused with natural fruits, indigenous to the Dominican Republic, and is shown to be a great educational experience. We believe it would be a highlight for any visitor to the Dominican Republic. Great for all ages! Let me know if you would like to visit the Pirate Rum Factory & Taino Cave Museum. Taste the Tradition!

This was a $40US tour form our resort in Punta Cana. The place is in need of a little TLC to bring it back to what it looks like it once was. Having said that the price was reasonable compared to other excursions. The cave...More

We had a great time on this tour. The cave and history of the island were very interested and our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable. Tasting rum afterwards was fabulous too and the hand-painted bottles made very nice souvenirs to bring home

This was a good little tour- not overly long (about 2hours including transportation to and from our hotel). We sent them an email to book as the people at our hotel were unable to help us. They were very quick to respond and the price...More

The cave tour was pretty interesting, even though our guide's accent made it difficult to understand without intense concentration. We found out that Christopher Columbus was not a man to be venerated. The rum factory was really a room where painters decorated bottles, which were...More

The Taino cave tour was very interesting. Batista spoke English and was very understandable. It was a nice history lesson on Columbus from a more local, impacted perspective. The cave was stunning but a little kitschy with some of the 'ruins' but interesting none-the-less. I...More

Not sure. It’s a pretty small operation but I really enjoyed the tour. Try calling them directly and leaving a message.

I wore casual clothes and sandals. I would recommend wearing running shoes, due to the uneven ground in the cave.
