The crew will supply snorkel gear, but you can use your own if you bring it. You have to swim from the boat into the shark enclosure, which was about 50 feet. They run a rope from the boat to the enclosure, so you can hang onto that if needed. The staff will also assist people who aren’t confident enough to swim that far on their own. It can be a little challenging in rough water. When you get to the shark enclosure you need to get yourself over the “gate”, which is lowered to the water line. There were at least 5 nurse sharks swimming around. They were much bigger than I expected! They didn’t get TOO close, but we were able to see them. There was also at least one stingray in this enclosure. After viewing the sharks you hop into the next enclosure, which is where they keep the stingrays. I saw at least 2. The staff get a hold of one and let you hold it for a photo op. (They were selling the printed photos for $15 each in the gift shop back on land.) When you are done with the stingrays you swim back to the boat, and then they start serving drinks (I saw rum and vodka with sodas and juices). There were pre-wrapped sandwiches, but I didn’t try any. Now you sail to a little bay with shallow, clear water. You can bring your drinks in the water with you. Music was on and people were having fun. Someone was throwing around a football. The staff was helpful and fun. I would say it’s about 3 hours total from when you leave the dock and return. Overall a good option for a half-day excursion.

Good time swimming with sharks and inside the Marinarium. Maybe recommend allowing a little more time snorkeling in open ocean and less time at natural pool. Party boat and Coco Locos on the way back was also fun. Generous with time. Overall great excursion.

Boring boring boring in the "party bay" unless you want to stand and drink in the water with crowded other boats. Extremely Crummy food?? totally and not great drinks (none of the soda or fruit juice we like). The staff barely took any photos of us at all, unlike the scores of photos of the animal-like twerking and screaming loud mouths on board (and they knew it was my birthday).. snorkel is 20min in a small rope cage at the end. NOT worth the money whatsoever. Not at all.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR $$ TERRIBLE SNORKELING!! They tell you it’s snorkeling and all it is is 1 shark in a fenced in closed space and 1 stingray. No fish. The winds and waves were high. Terrible weather conditions and still chose to send us out there. Several people turned back after they got in because of the rough waves. There is NO reef. No calm sea. The catamaran is not open to lay on. No open mesh area to lay on. The glass sea bottom is about 3 ft by 4 ft. They take you out to the middle of the sea. Make you swim along a rope to get to the caged in areas. Climb over a fence and swim with white caps and “snorkel”. A complete joke!!! Go elsewhere!! I’m shocked Amstar recommended this!
