Great party boat trip to Saona Island. The crew was amazing and provided fun animation. The boat was very nice and modern. The captain was very knowledgeable and accommodating.

We found Capitan Gringo in the last few days before our vacation to Punta Cana and were impressed of their good offers but also of the great reviews they had. So, we decided to take the chance and to book with them for 2 excursions: Safari Tour and Isla Saona (with catamaran party). I might say that our experience was fabulous. First trip, Safari Tour was a very unique experience in a quite interesting track which picked us up from our hotel. We visited cigar manufacturer, cacao and coffee plantations, we back ride horses (which was a premiere for us), we had a very good meal at lunch (simple but fresh and tasty) and had the chance to a glimpse of real Caribbean life outside the luxury of the resort. A very big appreciation to our guide (unfortunately we didn't remember his name) but he speaks very good English, French and German (which he learned by himself since he told us that in their public school no foreign language is taught). The Saona Island excursion was also fabulous. We have been picked up by a minibus from the hotel until we reached a beach from where we were embarked on a speed boat to Isla Saona. Beside the exceptional beaches and turquoise waters we've seen, we received an extra visit to a turtle shelter where we've seen baby turtles, we received also a delicious and freshly cooked meal (we recommend to pay extra for the lobster which is sensational), we've seen mangroves and stopped in the middle of the ocean in a saw called "natural pool" where the water was 1 meter depth and there we’ve seen starfish, and on return we were transferred on a catamaran when we had a super party till the shore from where we were again picked up by the minibus which took us back to the resort. Beside all the fun and meal and all the attractions, in both parties we had consistent supplies of rom, cola, bear and water. All in one we strongly recommend Capitan Gringo both for their very good prices (in comparison with the one offered in the resort) and for the quality and their services.

We hired the catamaran for 4 hours (10 couples). Absolutely fantastic, crew where great and the boat was top class. It was our friends 50th birthday and we hired this to celebrate, they provided all the drink and it never ran out - the 2 guys who crewed it even swam across to other boats to get more rum, how's that for service?. Cant fault it, would highly recommend.
