I am a novice to cigars but do love to have one when offered. The proprietor was an excellent gentleman and we had a wonderful tour of the factory while smoking a hand picked cigar to our tastes bookmarked by some excellent chat in the comfy lounge. I enjoyed a couple of rums and a whisky (Collingwood - very good). All of the staff and the manager were excellent and would highly recommend a visit. You can buy cigars there after your visit or ask about potential shipping options.

What a brilliant afternoon spent in Glen’s company. If you enjoy an occasional cigar or are a connoisseur, please make sure you stop in to Vivonte when you are in Puerto Plata. We called in based on the Trip Advisor reviews, which if anything undersell the experience. I left having enjoyed a tour, a wonderful smoke and having solved many of the world’s problems in conversation with Glen! I purchased some rare finds and some Vivonte own brand which are exceptional. I cannot recommend Vivonte highly enough. Thank you Glen.

I read several reviews before scheduling our trip. Glen was mentioned by name as the man to see if you wanted good Dominican cigars. We exchanged emails and texts prior to our arrival and he sent a car to come pick us up. This was very helpful as the taxi service operates a little differently down here as opposed to back home. Home they take you where you want to go. In the DR they take you where they get commissions to take you. So if you want to visit this fantastic shop, reach out to Glen first! We started off with a delicious cup of coffee and a shot of mama juana ( we wound up buying a bottle it was so good!) then Glen showed us around. My wife got to roll a cigar and we both had a sample stick while getting the owner's tour. Glen is very knowledgeable about cigars, coffee, politics, you name it! After buying a bundle of the cigar I sampled, Glen had his driver take us to a lovely seafood restaurant for lunch. If you like cigars, good cigars, go visit Glen!
