The Cable Car Puerto Plata is located on the Mountain "Isabel de Torres", south of the beautiful city of Puerto Plata. At the top of the mountain, above a fortress is the statue of "Christ the Redeemer" with open arms gives the welcome to visitors. Take your photo with Christ, he put his hand on the head! During the visit they will enjoy wonderful views of the ocean and city, as well as beautiful gardens, since the mountain has been declared a Scientific Reserve for the wide variety of animal and plant species are found in it. And if you keep your eyes peeled, you can discover hidden caves that lead to springs and streams that flow into the mountain! While in Puerto Plata, do not miss the cable car, with its exotic natural beauty and extensive National Park.

I loved the trip ride up in this cable car. Once you got to the top you felt like you were walking in the clouds. The vendors up there are also really nice and not pushy and take amazing photos for you. Would highly recommend.

If you are adventurous, this is for you! Besides the actual cable car, you got to see goodies being made at factories and more! Lots of walking is involved when not in the cable car but it is worth it.

Is a excellent place to visit. The Photograph team in the top is excellent. Great experience. I love it. In my next visit to Puerto Plata definitely I'll visit El Teleférico.

Guide informative, however would liked to have gone in the fort and spend some time there. Cable car somewhat crowded.

This is a great thing to do on a calm, quiet morning as you can see many miles down the coastline. Go when the wind isn't blowing too badly and the air is nice and clear (early morning).

Depending if you would like to walk a while or not. As your time is limited, I'd say it will take about 2 hours from the starting point of the cable car, that is about 2 miles from the sea shore (malecon) - I guess you may... More
