I went on the Bavaro Discovery Cruise, what a great time, there was music on the boat then we stopped for our snorkel time, trust my underwater camera’s battery to go flat on me, oh well my excuse to go on the same trip the very next day! After that we sailed to where you saw the dolphins performing then we came to the Shallow Pool where it was only deep for you to stand up, the guys provided a floaty that had rum, coke and crisps, very enjoyable. The guys were very professional (I really am sorry I didn’t catch your names) but they looked after you well. Like I said I did the same trip the next day, fully charged battery so managed to get some good underwater footage of the colourful fish. I would highly recommend this tour or any other that they do as it was very reasonably priced so I highly recommend Scuba Caribe.

We stayed at the Hyatt in Cap Cana and booked the Catalina Island snorkel/day trip directly from the hotel. The trip for us was an all-day adventure from the Hyatt but well worth it. The ride was a little over 1 hour from the hotel to the boat.

Once we arrived, we filled out paperwork and met our guide, Devin. It was cool to meet someone from the same area where we live in the United States. We got some instructions then boarded the boat. There were scuba divers and people snorkeling on the same boat. It took us about 20-25 minutes on the boat to get to the first snorkel spot. Once the divers got in the water it was the snorkel peoples time to get in the water. I will say it was busy, but the area was an awesome snorkel spot. There were lots of fish, coral, and even cool seeing the divers below us.

After about 45 minutes of snorkeling, we boarded the boat and headed to the dock and beach area of Catalina Island. We got instructions when lunch, which was good, would be served and the time we were to board the boat to head back. The island was just an amazing place to visit. The water was crystal clear and there was another place by the dock you are free to snorkel on your own.

This snorkel trip was great, and Devin was a great guide making sure everyone had what they needed and if anyone needed help. Definitely would recommend trip even though it was an all-day trip for us.

We stayed at the Hilton La Romana Family resort in February 2022 and decided to go on the Catalina Island Snorkel day trip through Scuba Caribe located on the beach near the Adult resort at Hilton. I cannot say enough how fun the excursion was and how great the staff were. Fernando took so much care of us on the boat. He was a great guide on the boat ride back and told us about the houses and places we saw on the river portion. On a personal note, I got quite sea sick after snorkeling and took a time out on Catalina on a beach chair. Fernando paid me a visit to make sure I was ok and I truly appreciated it.

In the water, Enger was a great guide and looked out for our group including the kids and also fed the fish to make sure we saw aquatic life. The water on our excursion day was quite rough, hence the sea sick, but it was still a fun snorkel.

On the way back, the staff kept the boat very entertained singing and dancing. Enger and Isidro did the Macerana and also kept the rum and Coke flowing (soda and water for the kids). We had so much fun no one wanted to get off the boat. The boat itself was immaculate and a comfortable ride.

Thank you Fernando, Enger, and Isidro. We will never forget that excursion. :)

Do NOT book this excursion if you want to snorkel. We booked (through our hotel) what was advertised as an all-day snorkeling excursion to Catalina Island. We spent literally 20-minutes of the entire 8 hour trip snorkeling along a gorgeous reef before we were pulled out of the water and dropped off on the island so our boat could take the scuba divers out. The island was beautiful, but my hotel had a beautiful beach, I could have stayed there. The island “souvenir shops” are a bunch of pushy people trying to drag you into their shops from the beach to sell you expensive trinkets and to literally beg you to buy stuff so they can feed their families. The tour company advertised a BBQ lunch and open bar included in the trip. The lunch was mediocre and the open bar consisted of beer and Rum only. The boat ride was scenic and fun, but the fact that we snorkeled for only 20 minutes was the most disappointing thing about our entire trip as we had been looking forward this excursion all week and saved it for our last day.

This is a large operation. I think they have 4 or 5 large catamarans that go to Catalina each day. Waters can get a little rough so having their big boats is a great benefit. They seemed to know what they were doing, and paired divers up with guides who spoke their languages.

What wasn't great was that we were paired with a guide and an uncertified diver. The uncertified diver should never have been allowed near The Wall which has a bottom depth of over 100ft. To his credit, the guide didn't let him go below 60ft, but that is still more than PADI allows.

The only other part is that we hated was wasting 2 hours on Catalina island waiting for the boats to come back so we could leave.

My family did an introductory dive with Scuba Caribe and had such a great time that we went back for a second dive a couple days later. Berlin took us around the wreckage of the Atlantic Princess and did a phenomenal job! He was attentive to the needs of inexperienced divers and did a great job of finding and pointing out all of the cool fish. We saw parrot fish, barracuda, rays, lion fish and many others. We are so grateful for Berlin and the great job he and the Scuba Caribe team did.

We went on the afternoon trip, which included snorkelling 🤿 and swimming in natural waters, it was like a floating market!! Victor, Adonis and Nelson looked after us and did a great job 👏🏼 I was very nervous about the sea as it was quite choppy, but they made me feel in safe hands. Thank you

During our stay at Punta Cana, we went to Sanoa Island with Scuba Caribe company. We had absolutely amazing experience while visiting the island - swimming in the warm shallow waters, chilling in the Caribbean sun and enjoying the palm filled landscape. The lunch was included in the price and the service was of a high quality. I highly recommend it.

I booked a one tank dive because that’s all the time the cruise ship gave us on the island that day. When I arrived by taxi ($30 round trip) there was a mix up and they thought I was going snorkeling.

The staff was awesome and made a special dive trip for me with two awesome ladies who work there. We dove the Atlantic princess shop wreck. The company did a phenomenal job of being safe and giving directions. They pointed out some great stuff underwater and made it a blast. Totally recommend this dive center!!!!!

We booked the Catalina Island trip with both snorkelers and scuba divers. The first spot was a reef just off the island, accessed off the boat. It was beautiful and the most live coral I have ever seen! But the best part of the excursion is the island itself. I have literally never been in a more beautiful place in my entire life. It is pristine and almost surreal - it is just SO perfect. Make sure to keep your shoes ON when walking around, the sand and walkways get VERY HOT! The vendors definitely try to get you to come to their shops, but a simple "no gracias" is fine if you aren't interested. The lunch buffet was absolutely delicious and the excursion staff (especially Devin) were FANTASTIC. The snorkeling off the beach is INCREDIBLE - we saw so many different types of fish and coral, it was just spectacular. The only complaint is that I couldn't stay there forever.
