About
Pioneers in Zip-line Adventures in the north coast of the Dominican Republic, we are geared towards nature preservation as well as safety. The park is located within a 30 minute scenic drive from Puerto Plata, which along the way you can enjoy spectacular views of the city and the Atlantic Ocean. Our highly trained staff received their training by technicians from Costa Rica, where the zip lining tour idea originated. Our goal is to make each participant'€™s experience unique.

My friends and I did the zip line tour on our second afternoon in the DR and it was a blast. Highly recommend this excursion. The Yasika team will pick you up from your airport and it's about a 30 minute drive to the mountains. There were 8 cables varying in length, incline and speed. The first cable is definitely the scariest (if this is your first time). It took about 3 cables before we were all comfortable with breaking and positioning ourselves, but the entire experience was a blast! The adrenaline rush was great. Would definitely recommend that you wear plenty of sunscreen as most of the platforms do not provide shade. Also use bug spray as you will be up in the hills for over an hour. Sunglasses were also very helpful during the zip lining and during the windy truck ride from your hotel. Kudos to our guides Franklin and Jose, who were very patient in teaching our group and helped us all to have a great time.

My best friend and I drove a rental car from Santo Domingo to Yasika, which was an experience in itself. The roads are very rocky, and the place was a bit tricky to find because it's not well marked, but we found it! During our trip it was the just the two of us, so we have a personalized zip lining experience. The guides were very friendly, knowledgeable and courteous. This was my second time zip lining, and you have two stop yourself with your hand, which is different from my previous experience, but it was not that hard. The countryside we zipped through was beautiful and the lines were fun. Since it was only two of us it went really fast, but it was an overall great experience.

Disliked- truck ride. Very hard suspension and loud. Seats too small.
Liked- Staff friendly and helpful. Location beautiful. Zip Lining is an incredible rush. We will definitely be going back.

Have just done the Zip Line tour of Yasika Adventures and had a blast. I have to admit I was a bit nervous as I am traditionally afraid of heights but had it in my mind I was going to overcome it! And I am so glad I did.
Firstly the drive and the scenery up to the ranch is amazing, very typical and beautiful views of Puerto Plata and Playa Dorada below.
The staff make you feel at home the minute you get there and are very confident and capable ( which helps your nerves)
Afer we were all kitted out with the saftey gear we headed off the the first platform. The guide John made sure we realized his saftey speech HAD to be listened to ( which I am very glad of - safety is no joking matter!! )
After a couple of practice runs away we went !! Literally!! After the first line which was a long slowish speed I felt totally comfortable !! I thought you would sway or bob a bit more but it is a really smooth ride!
I had a few problems with the braking process but wasn´t a problem as they were always there to catch me !!
The scenery along the 8 wires was amazing and the adrenline rush was awesome!!
I had my son 16 and some of his friends along and they had a blast!! Definately something different to tell their friends at school!
Again, I can´t say enough about the staff and the service - they made you feel safe and welcome !
If you are going to Puerto Plata , Sosua or Cabarete - you MUST check out this new , different and exciting excursion!

We went to Yasika zip lining after reading the reviews here and is was a great excursion! Great view of the mountains and great pictures and memories to bring home. The staff was great and everything is super safe. From 8:30 in the morning to 12:30. It cost us 70$ in the Plaza at Playa Doroda.

What a rush......OMG we had so much fun. We went zip lining last week when we were in the DR. My two 14 year olds and I went and had an absolute blast. I had never done anything like that before and did not regret doing it at all. Sure, I was terrified before going off the first platform but quickly got over that. The staff were all amazing and made everyone feel very safe and prepared for the adventure. Our instructor Franklin was very good and made sure everyone was comfortable before taking their turn. These young men who work at the zip line have the BEST JOB in the DR. Since getting home I have been telling everyone about my zip lining experience. If you go to POP you should have this adventure. We were very lucky in an odd way. We were picked up by the manager Cesar P because the bus was going to be late because of a flat tire. What a great guy. Very informative and a good businessman. I learned alot from him as we talked non-stop to and from the site. The zip line is on the "tourist road" to Santiago and the drive out there was absolutely breathtaking. You get an amazing view back over POP and the Atlantic Ocean. This 1/2 day adventure is one not to be missed when visiting the area. Next time I go back I am going back....taking my husband next time.

This place was extremely professional and very safety conscious. My friend and I enjoyed an open air bus ride up into the beautiful mountains of the Dominican Republic to our destination. The zip lining was comfortable and set up nicely for beginners. Instruction where given to us very well in English and you were not confused on the do’s and dont's of zip lining. I would recommend this for anyone wanting to try something new. After the first few lines you have the hang of it , and the experience becomes relaxing, peaceful and beautiful. This is a great value for the money and excellent for tourist from other countries that speak little Spanish but can speak English. Thanks for making my vacation a good one.

Hard to write a review without copying the others, but I'll give it a try. Went on the zipline tour 5/26. Picked up from our hotel at 8:00 AM by the guide in his pick-up. After about an hour drive or so up into the mountains we reached the base camp. Once there we realized that we were going to be the only two in the group, which was pretty cool! Make sure to book direct and online before you go, it'll save you $9/person!
Gearing up and teaching was quick and easy to understand. They did a great job explaining everything to us. Riding the ziplines was an absolute rush! Guides are fun and knowledgeable, with safety always in mind. Also, don't brake too much if they don't tell you to or you might get stuck on the cable! And as my wife can attest to, it is a lot of work to pull yourself to the next platform. I would suggest a morning tour if you can get it, because it was already getting hot by 10-11 AM. Also, sunscreen and bug repellent are good ideas. Water is provided as well as some tasty fruit at the end. On the way back we even stopped on the road to take a few beautiful pictures. Total trip took about 4 hours or so.

I would absolutly recomend this trip to anyone who wants to do something totally new, exciting and fun! The views are spectacular! The adrenaline rush was awsome, especially on the first cable and on the second last! Safety is their number one priority so don't be worried. All the operators are highly trained and all the equipement and everything is brand new, they only opened this year (2008). The owner, (can't remember his name) comes on the truck to pick you up, teaches you all the safety procedures and zips with you. Afterwards you can enjoy some local exotic fruits and some cold beers! The manager then even comes on the truck to return you to your hotel and answers any questions you have about the Dominican and it's people. Very fun and interesting! I had a blast! Only caution...wear sunscreen! Not very much shade and i burnt my forhead pretty bad in one spot! :(

We were picked up by Edward (spoke English quite well) and Johanny in a nice Mitsubishi SUV at our Lifestyle Resort Lobby at 7:40AM. After a 30-40min ride we arrived at the Zipline "home base" in the mountainous jungle. Here we could use the bathrooms and put on our safety equipment. We then loaded up the truck to reach the first landing. Jose and Edward then gave us detailed safety instructions and made sure we were completely comfortable before beginning our adventure. As we zipped through 8 different paths, Jose and Edward pointed out different features of the jungle and were excellent guides. We ended the last run at the "home base" and were greeted by a tray of fresh fruit, water, and a tip jar :) that was well justified! Once we were content with lounging on the deck and enjoying our snack (they also had beer, soda and shirts for sale), we jumped back in the SUV and were dropped off at our resort lobby.
It was very fun, a fair price, and we felt safe!
Tip- if you book your trip at their website before you go and pay with US dollars, they give you a $9 pp discount.

We highly recommend this business!
