About
Pioneers in Zip-line Adventures in the north coast of the Dominican Republic, we are geared towards nature preservation as well as safety. The park is located within a 30 minute scenic drive from Puerto Plata, which along the way you can enjoy spectacular views of the city and the Atlantic Ocean. Our highly trained staff received their training by technicians from Costa Rica, where the zip lining tour idea originated. Our goal is to make each participant'€™s experience unique.

When picked up from hotel in jeep asked to wear Lapbelts. I knew from outset they were safety orientated. On arrival at the office asked to fill out a simple form with any medical issues etc and were then issued with helmet which was adjusted to fit.We then were given our two part harnesses, and all the pulley system and finally a pair of gloves one fitted with a leather palm to use to brake. We then were ready for the ride in the trucks to the starting point but not before the equipment was checked by two other instructors. On arrival at the first platform we were then given clear instruction on how to ride the zip and how to brake. We all put on the gloves the right hand one with a leather grip used to brake. The first victim(person) selected to go was then clipped into the systen and safety rope attached they then were given a test run to learn how to brake. this was repeated as many times as needed until the instructor was happy that they were able to brake correctly. Then it was down the line to the first platform. Process repeated for each person. on arrival at second platform clipped onto safety rope to prevent falling. We all waited for each one to go down the line. We swapped cameras with each other to take photos and video and then came the final line back to the office. Some people had a few problems with the higher zips but no problem they were taken in tandem by the instructors so still enjoyed the experience.
Our group age from early twenties - seventies I am 50.
Finished day by purchasing drinks and also option to buy video which was taken throughout the day.
Great day for all age groups and abillity. Safety standards at UK level.
Any question on equipment etc please ask and I will try to answer.

We went on four trips during our stay in Dom Rep, and this was by far the best. We had already picked this as something to do because of the good reviews it received on tripadvisor.
I have to say I'm glad we did the research, because the reps at our welcome meeting hardly mentioned it at all. In fact, The trips which they said were 'unmissable' turned out to be nowhere near as good as the ziplining, and in one instance, quite disappointing.
As mentioned in previous reviews, there were very few of us on the trip (5 of us to be exact). I'm not sure if the small numbers has anything to do with safety, or the fact that it doesn't receive the 'hard sell' treatment from the reps. If it is the latter, you should take my word for it that this is much more enjoyable than the 'mega trucks safari' and the 'puerto plata tour'..both of which we were told were "must do's"
I won't repeat what others have said about the excellent staff who helped us, but i will say that my wife hates heights and was very reluctant to do it, but she absolutely loved it and never felt in danger at anytime.
It isn't the longest of adventures, I must say, but i doubt you will have as much fun anywhere else as you will on this.

If you only have the chance to do one excursion during your trip to Puerto Plata, make Yasiki Adventures the one! We ranged in age from 14 to 56 and most of us are not thrill-seekers. Although we were nervous, the guides helped us to feel comfortable and safety was always in the forefront! From the top down, the staff were friendly, courteous and reassuring. From the time of pickup at our hotel through to the end of the ziplining platforms, the fun didn't end! The facility is very clean, the staff speak English fairly well and the person who trains you speaks English fluently. It is a great way to see the beautiful scenery in the mountains but at the same time seek a little adventure! I would highly recommend this half-day excursion - it has only been up and running for about eighteen months but Cesar and his wife are really trying to attract tourists by offering a clean, safe and exciting adventure that is affordable and fun - certainly not run-of-the-mill. Make sure to do your own booking and you will get a $9.00 (US) discount. The website is very informative as well.

My husband and I did Yasika's zip line adventure in Puerto Plata in early March. We've zip lined before, but everyone else on the adventure had not. Johnny, Jose and Davy were excellent. They gave everyone a chance to practice. One couple was a little nervous after a couple of runs so they actually zip lined with them in tandem. The operation was well managed. The staff was very knowledgeable and the zip lining area was beautiful. Plus, I felt totally safe. We'd recommend it.

We had already found out about Yasika before we went on holiday and we were not disappointed. You have to do this whilst in the Dominican Republic. My husband has a fear of heights but was able to complete all 8 lines. The instructors are fantastic and very helpful. You receive full instruction before you begin. The feeling of doing this is incredible and must not be missed.
We intend to return to Dom Rep and will do Yasika again as it was so much fun.
It is easily by far the best tourist trip in this area.

We took a group of 14 including 8 children of various ages. The staff, lead by Eduardo, was absolutely excellent. They were patient, professional and fun. All had wonderful attitudes and were great with the kids. I highly recommend their service and their tour. One of the best!

Family of 4 with 2 teenage boys and a Mom who is afraid of heights. By the 2nd run Mom was a pro! This was only possible because the experienced staff were over the top when it came to education, safety and personal comfort. Language is no barrier as the crew was able to communicate in Spanish, English and French.
The 30 minute truck ride to the site was a tour in itself, traveling through the farmlands and hillside villages. Keep your camera at the ready. However taking pictures is a little tough due to the bumpy ride.
Hot morning in the forest was quenched with a platter of fresh fruit provided and $2 beer or soft drinks afterward.

As I'm afraid of heights, I was very nervous about doing a zipline but with the training and encouragement from our awesome guides, by the end of the 1st line, I couldn't wait to ride the other 7. Can't wait to zipline again!

We jumped at the chance of doing this half day tour ($85 each) when we saw it online before we left the UK and made sure it was one of the first trips we arranged when we arrived.
We were collected from the Riu Mambo at 7.30am and collected from a few other hotels along the way. It took 1 hour+ to reach Yasika where we were met by nearly a dozen members of staff.
We were readied (safety harness, gloves, hat etc) and sat down at the first platform whilst we were given a thorough safety talk and a few demos. Before anyone was allowed to go down the first line we were all made to have a practice over the platform (so don't worry if you've never done it before). After this, a few of the staff went off ahead to wait for us at the next platform whilst others stayed behind us at all times.
As I'm scared of heights I'm not afraid to say how scared I was before I left the first platform but I didn't have been - it was a thrill a minute and I felt 100% safe at all times.
The surroundings make this place so special, as well as the speed that you go through and under some of the trees and over streams. Time flew by and I was disappointed when I had done my last one. Despite being scared of heights I wanted to do it all over again straight away!
It's an expensive day (half day I should say) but you'll never do anything like this in the UK so if you were in two minds I'd strongly recommend going.
You'll only need a camera and some money for souvenirs. Other than that you'll be on the truck going there/back or in the air the whole time.
When it was finished we were given fruit and drink before we departed for home.

We did zip line adventure at the end of May 2008.
This was one of our favourite things we have experienced while in DR.
We were picked up from our hotel in early morning hrs (round 8am) - there was only 5 of us and it was great! ( us 3 and a couple from hotel next door).
We took this brilliant drive to get to the top of the mountain where were explained how to slow down, how to stop etc while zip lining.
Guys who do this are brilliant - very nice and helpful.
They will explain everything to you and if you are scared and dont want to do it on your own they will do it with you - so no worries! Worth every penny!
And true..book online in advance (they reply very quick) and pay in cash - this will give you 9$ discount and will cost you 70$ pp.
We did 8 pltforms and each one was great !
If I ever go back to DR will have to do it again great fun. And as far I have been told they are looking into creating one long zip line which will be approx 1km long - ohhhh cnt wait hope they will manage to do it then will do it for defo!
Best wishes to whole team and hope to see you again!!
