A local told us this was the best mall to come to in Santo Domingo. The mall is 4 floors with the top floor devoted to a food court and movie theatre (closed). We came here to eat and avoid the humidity and heat and ended up buying some jewelry, etc. Parking is connected to the mall. It is about a 30 minute drive from colonial zone but is relatively close to the botanical garden so if you wanted to see the garden or mall consider doing both in tandem.

Shopping @ Agora Mall was fun.
Agora Mall is very modern. Lots of choices and good fair prices.
Good size not too big not too small. Perfect. Will return again and again.
Today I returned to Vaccinate a family member.
The Mall continues to be extremely clean well lit, Modern and organized. I had not returned for 2 years.
There is even electric charging stations for cars on the M1 Parking level.

Without a doubt the most complete option with the best value for money for visitors to Santo Domingo. Shopping for women, super market, little gifts, economical and good food (food court). Unfortunately, cinemas closed for renovation, according to them, and nothing was announced on the internet.

I must admit I wouldn't go this far, but on a New Year's day it was almost the only option to dine out.
The mall is huge and it's located some 15 min drive from the city center, by the highway to the north. It has one of the biggest food courts I've ever seen with a great choice of food.
Also, there are many shops selling mostly international brands, but I found the prices higher than in US and Europe even during the Christmas sale.

Bad experience yesterday. I was shopping with my family and when I had all the items on the counter the cashier says she's going to charge a lady who just came in irrespentating two people who were behind me and me.
It is shameful how a cashier puts her job at risk because of her lack of education. He didn't even ask permission from the customers we were there, he treated us like our money wasn't worth it.
I hope the staff in charge will give you good customer service courses because from what I could see last night that cashier does not have.

Agora Mall is located in the center of Santo Domingo. 21 minutes drive from residential neighboorhoods like Piantini and Bella Vista. A large variety of stores like Adidas, Victoria's Secret, Bath and Body Works, Payless, etc have stores there. There is no Nike shop inside the mall. The food court is on the 4th floor. Amenities are very modern and well kept.

This mall is like any you will find in any developed nation. The lighting, location and positioning, and diversity of stores make this mall pleasant. In addition, there is a plethora of parking, and the mall is located across the street from the metro. Highly recommend shopping at this mall.

High end shopping mall with fantastic shops and dining options, although mostly coffee shops. Also has a very large Jumbo supermarket over 2 floors. Probably one of the best malls in town.

It is the best designed shopping mall. Everything converged towards the center of the football shaped mall. There is a good mis of stores, cafes, supermarket and restaurants. Ample parking, parking is free! A couple restaurants have a terrace overlooking the city. Great for lunch. Unfortunately the main access to the mall ( Lincoln avenue) my be very congested so plan for 10-15 more minutes depending on the time of day.

Àgora means meeting place, public square in Ancient Greece and that is exactly what it has become for the citizens and visitors of Santo Domingo.
Located at what is becoming Santo Domingo's equivalent to Time Square, with a Metro station connecting at it's door (L2 Station "Pedro Mir").
With a broad spectrum of stores for all budgets arranged strategically on it's 4 floors your always find something to see, taste or buy.
Saturday's morning are a special occasion to meet local artist, buy craft or candies from different part of the island at the First Level Market. If you cannot make it on Saturday, try "Cosas de Mi Pais" a store devoted to freshly bring the specialties of every corner of the DR which will take you weeks to collect by your self.
With a full range of the most popular fast food and fast casual restaurant conveniently located on the 4th floor you always find something to please you. If you are a pizza lover you cannot skip "Trattoria Pizzarelli" perhaps the Best Pizza from Napoli's out of Italy. They not only use the best of best Italian flour (Antimo Caputo Superfine 00), but also mineral water and San Marzano tomatoes. I particularly like the "Burratina" made with daily fresh Burrata cheese with Prosciutto and Truffle oil.
If you are a burger lover, try the "Forest Burger" by the folks at Chef Pepper which is also on the same floor and has being voted as the best Burger in the DR for the last five consecutive years. A generous portion of Angus Meat Burger grilled to perfection and served over a bread developed by them which is soft and moist. A key element will be the sauce made of fresh mushroom (never canned).
If you are looking for souvenirs and you cannot visit on a Saturday try Jumbo a mega supermarket with many local alternatives at a budget.
With so many options, Àgora Mall is with any doubt the best shopping experience you can have in Santo Domingo. Just keep in mind that from Forever 21 on the first floor to Cartier bags on the 3rd floor it will be hard not to find what you are looking for.
