I was excited to go see this. It was like stepping back in time. The house has been restored and is in very good condition. All the artifacts, furniture, and decorations were interesting. We went on a Sunday and were the only ones there. It puts me in awe to walk in the footsteps of explorers from 500 years ago.... More

If you are interested in history of the conquest of the Americas, this place is for you! The house has been restored but has original furniture belonging to Ponce de Leon. It is the setting that was amazing, it is out in the country and you can almost feel the past here The price seems to change on how much... More

The entrance fee was $50 Dominican dollars/person. A guide met us at the door; he did not speak English, but it is not really a barrier to the attraction. The museum is small and simple. The written information is in English and Spanish. We used a GPS and did not have a problem finding the museum. The road leading up... More

I often take visitors to the town of Boca de Yuma and the House of Ponce de Leon and the Cave there so they can get a sense of the wealth of history on this island. Ponce is credited with founding Florida as he searched for the 'fountain of youth', the river caves were where the pirates hid the gold... More
