nice and easy

It is an easy, short walk to get there, which is quite nice in itself. Lovely pool and fall. Worth the trip. It's not that hard to find.

A 20 minute walk through the forest brings you to the pool and small waterfall. The waters are relatively shallow (good, as I am not a great swimmer), and very relaxing as respite from the heat.

Emerald Pool is very easy to reach via a very accessible trail that is perfect for a stroll through a beautiful forest. It does not feel as remote/genuine as when you go on a "proper hike" in the rain forest but it's still beautiful and well maintained.

Hey, the place is great but here is some information most reviews don't mention.... To get there from Roseau, mini vans leave from 7am onwards and cost 7Ec per way per person. The bus station for this route in Roseau has changed recently to across the bridge from the markets and Kfc. (Ask any local) The mini bus final destination... More

Definately worth the little easy hike to get there. Gorgeous fresh clean water. I would start put your excursions with a small trip to a waterfall like this one before you work up to the other large hikes.

This may be one of the most "touristy" attractions on the island, but it is well worth it. We still only saw maybe 2 other groups on the trail and never had real interaction/felt overcrowded while we were there. The alcove with the falls and the pool is magical and the water is amazingly refreshing. The hike through the rainforest... More

Emerald Pool Nature Trail it's something that all nature lovers should see. A short drive through a rain forest it's gonna bring to place where the real joy starts. You start to walk a trail with amazing nature and you gonna be amazed all the time from it's beauty but that's nothing until the moment you reach the pool. It's... More

The Emerald Pool was one of our favourite places to swim in Dominica (and we swam everywhere!!!) It is a fairly easy hike in to the falls and well worth it. We swam here for quite a while and just enjoyed every moment of it.

Emerald pool is about a 10-15 minute easy stair climb/hike (not handicap accessible). It is the most amazing sight I've seen! The water is clear and gorgeous! I suggest wearing Merrells or some river shoes if you have tender feet. The rocks hurt a bit but worth it either way!

My wife and I greatly enjoyed our visit to Emerald Pool. The hike to the pool is easy taking all of 10-15 minutes. Once at the pool, you will find the ice cold water extremely refreshing from the heat. The waterfall is large enough to be beautiful, but small enough that you can stand underneath it. There are paths behind... More
