Worth the visit, cool off, hopefully no one is there to collect the fee. The waterfall felt great on my back, and there were facilities for changing and for restroom, but no electricity.

After a long drive you reach the falls which are supposed to be a Unesco recognize site. After huricane, reconstruction is on going but the forest around is destroyed at more than 80% It is definitively not worth a visit, and sorry to say it...More

After a short walk in the national park you can go in the water and stand under the waterfall. Also to do with small kids.

After the hurricane Maria the fall is lower almost about 5 meters and also the surrounding forest was very heavily damaged so the place is not so magical any more.

Despite the damage done by hurricane Maria, the emerald pool itself hasn't changed much. The only significant change you'll see is in the surrounding areas, alot of fallen trees, most of which have been cleared. The rain forest is on the mend and with the...More

It's been a while, but I believe it was 45 minutes. It's not beach-like, so there isn't a real comparison. It's a tourist location, so it won't feel secluded, and due to very cold water, you won't swim for extended periods.

It is very well developed... meaning the walk is not paved, but might as well be! it has a dedicated visitor center, and has scattered signs and messages along the way describing plants and wildlife. Within dominica, which... More
