Snorkeling with the whales in Dominica was a once in a lifetime experience. Diante and Captain Gus were amazing I cannot give them higher praise.
Their ability to find whales and insure the customer experience all while explaining whales behavior was an amazing experience.
I would highly recommend dive Dominica and request Diante and Gus. They made my trip awesome.

We did the whale watching excursion and after moving away from the coast we did not have to wait too long before seeing, several times, a couple of sperm whales. The captain respects the animal and has not gotten too close. On the way back we were "escorted" by a school of dolphins. We were lucky. The whole team was very available.
We also did two days of diving with them. As for the excursion everything went well, the guide was present without being invasive and the sites were beautiful. During a return dive the captain moved away from her cape to allow us to swim with a dolphin (beky mascot of the club). We highly recommend this structure.

We decided to go whale watching with Dive Dominica and we were not disappointed. During our trip we were able to see very rare Cuvier's beaked whale and two young female sperm whales. The crew worked really hard to locate and find the whales.

We had a great trip to see dolphins and spermwhales today. Even when the weather was rough und rainy we had a lot of fun. The guide explained a lot about how they are going to find the whales, their sonar and behaviour and what kind of whales could be found near dominica.
The sea was rough today and we got wet all over, but it was a super trip with a nice and friendly crew to chat with.
I will give 5 points because there was a safety briefing at the start. But I hadn't thought of such a hard sea, and I would prefer you give the small children (mine is 5 years) a lifejacket at all times.
Anyway, we enjoyed the trip and the group and had an exciting day, making great memories.

Four of us friends recently dove the south dive sites at Dominica. We had the very best time! We got picked up at Fort Young and had two great dives each day. The guides/DM's were awesome - finding many things and going slow enough for me to take pictures. They kept our gear and had everything ready to go each day. Everyone is VERY safety conscious but yet funny and friendly. Big boats, so plenty of room!!
I highly recommend diving with them!

Over a two month period from mid-Jan to mid-March 2023, I logged more than 40 dives with Dive Dominica. I enjoyed every single one and have every intention of returning. We dove sites from Scott's Head to "The Quarry" which is an industrial jetty just south of Loubiere, and which became one of my favourite sites.
The boats are spacious and seldom crowded, though Dive Dominica does serve the Fort Young Hotel, and a big group at the hotel sometimes did take up a lot of the real estate on the boat.
Typically, we were in the water with three divemasters (front, back, middle). Briefings were thorough and informative. My dives were 55 to 65 minutes, and I never felt rushed to get out of the water.
They've got a good sized crew, but mostly I was in the care of divemasters Bert, Thomas and Earl, with Brenton captaining the boat, and they were all superb, both as critter-spotters and problem solvers with the occasional equipment issue.
About 20 paces from the dive centre is the Ocean's Edge restaurant, which is the perfect place for a deco beer and lunch after a couple of dives on some of the Caribbean's richest dive sites.
A word about the front office: There is no shortage of sunshine in Dominica, but if ever it needed an extra ray, it would find it in Dive Dominica's office manager, Dilma Bastien, who brightened every morning I dove with them. She made everything as easy as possible.

We dove as a couple, we are both N3. After traveling the planet, diving in all the oceans of the world, we have rarely seen such a mediocre club...
We were two French people on board, completely isolated from the rest of the group of Americans who seemed much more interesting than us…$$$…
Briefing almost non-existent, a guide at the start of the group, a guide at the end of the group, 10/12 divers between the two, 1 third guide who wandered around in the group, suffice to say that it's not great...
During the hour surface interval on the boat everyone shares fruit and drinks, when I ask if I can have a piece of watermelon I am told “no, it’s only for the group! » in short, we were there only to throw away our 200 USD…
Never in our diving experience have we felt this way…
All this could have been erased by two beautiful dives, but the two sites were poorly chosen
We changed clubs the next day and found some very nice spots and a great team.
I do not recommend this club at all

Just arrived back from a Fantastic week of Diving with Dive Dominica. Took a Group of 17 diver's to Dominica and stayed at Fort Young Hotel. Dive Dominica did an awesome job of entertaining all the divers with great sites and easy dives. I have been diving the world for 35 years and have had one of the best adventures in Dominica and Dive Dominica. The dive crew was very attentive and made sure dives were safe and appropriate.

I spent a week diving with Dive Dominica this month and it was one of the best dive trips I’ve ever had. The waters were teaming with beautiful fish and sea life and the corals and sponges were lush and brilliantly colored. Thanks to the sharp eyes of our dive masters we even saw sea horses on two different dives-the first I have ever seen. Our boat crew, Ernest, Nigel, Bert and Thomas took great care of us and there were 3 dive masters for about 15 people on each dive. The boat was clean and comfortable and had easy egress and entrance from the dives. We also did a whale watching trip with them and I saw more whales than on all my previous whale watching trips combined. I will be going back to Dominica and diving with them again soon and am really looking forward to it.

All I can say is wow wow wow! I’ve been a diver since 1978 , PADI SCUBA Instructor since 1988 and have been diving all over the world. We only did two dives but the wall we dove was definitely one of the top 10 dives I’ve ever done in the Caribbean. Right off shore 20’ deep plunging to “only god knows” said our Divemaster Thomas. Traveling on a catamaran with a bunch of guys I just met so unsure of their skills but Thomas led the way and I brought up the rear. Boat captain Irwin aka Stinger at the helm and we had the whole boat to ourselves. Stinger even charged ahead and beat the cattle barge from Fort Young dive hotel to the best mooring! 2000+ dives and Thomas showed me my first Seahorse. An amazing group of people and the gal who checked us in was so nice, professional and a pleasure to do business with. I’ll be back next time on my own sailboat! Until then safe diving and come snorkeling with me in Alaska!
Cheers,
Fred D.

Where did you stay and what dive company. Imran was our dive master a few years ago and would love to dive with him again.

Are you a PADI 5- star dive shops, and are you open tear round? Also, when is the best time of year to see whales and other pelagics?
