Emerald Pool & Trafalgar Falls Water Adventure

2 reviews
Guests will depart from Roseau to the Emerald Pool driving through Canefield arriving at the Emerald Pool. This wonderful waterfall grotto is located in the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Morne Trois Piton National Park. An easy 30-minute hike takes the guests through magnificent overhanging trees and lush vegetation to the pool, which appears green in the tree-filtered sunlight. Guests will be able to go for a dip, and swim right up to the waterfall!

On the way back there are two view points where the Atlantic Coast and Morne Laurent can be seen to the left, rising to an elevation of 2,248 ft. Breathtaking!

Following the visit of the Emerald Pool, guests will go to the Trafalgar Falls. It is a short 10 to 15 minute walk along a well-maintained path from the Visitor Reception centre, where you can photograph both falls from a viewing platform. The more daring can continue on to swim in the refreshing waters of the smaller waterfall or find the hot springs at the tallest falls.

Drove two hours to get to screws sulphur spa to find out that it is permanently closed and no longer there. Extensive hurricane damage took it out. Google shows it as being there and open and it is wrong. Someone else on this site reviewed as Bongo baths and it is not the same thing ...bongo is down the road but not always open. Check Tias soa down the road. $10 us per person and is small but nice bathes.

We had just a short time before heading out of this magical garden of Eden of an island and we chose to explore Bongo Baths!!! We met Helen, the owner who welcomed us in and gave us a little history of the place. This haven is literally a piece of heaven on earth and a must do on your trip to the nature isle. Literally said out loud “what more does a girl need!?” Hot baths, cool pools, birds singing, waterfalls chiming in in the background - such a spiritual spontaneous adventure.

This is a wonderful place for the most relaxing warm sulphur spring bath, which not only gives that luxuriating feeling but is excellent for your skin. The multiple pools ranging from hot to tepid and then cold to cool you down. Whilst there it started raining so this gave an even better experience. The price to enter is somewhat steep at $50 EC but much cheaper for locals. The pools themselves are amazing but more work is needed to enhance the environment when you first walk in, which can be somewhat off putting. Management need to do a lot more i.e. modernising the toilet and changing facilities. The staff was pleasant and provided us with a tray of fruit treats after our swim.
