Owned by a wealthy Sephardic family whose beautiful pictures are in the library, this art installation features the amazing Cathedral of Thorns by Herman Van Bergen- he's usually around and happy to discuss his vision and work. Also- don't miss the on-site 10 Restaurant and chat with the friendly owner-operator about life on Curacao!

The Cathedral of Thorns is an incredible museum within a museum within a museum. There are sculptures throughout the cathedral walls. We went during the day and got to really appreciate the art within the walls and the structure itself, which is absolutely stunning. Such a memorable amazing experience we will be talking about for years. The gallery inside the landhuis is also wonderful, and there are sculptures outside. There is kindof art all over the place outside when you start walking the grounds. Also, the Number 10 restaurant is on the property, it is almost impossible to get a table there, there are only ten tables, we had to try twice to get a table, and then it turned out they had run out of basically everything on the menu, and the service was unbelievably slow, Like, so slow that the museum closed and we had to walk way around to get back to our car. But the museum is wonderful, the Cathedral is life changing. The cathedral is also open at night, some nights, with lights and projections and multimedia stuff going on.

I went there to see an art exhibit and took the chance to walk around. You can still feel the authentic colonial flavor. I recommend you sit on the porch and drink something. Not amazing, but nice to visit.

Someone recommended us to visit this landhuis and it was a really excellent idea. It's located in the financial area, very easy to find, and the person that greeted us at the entrance offered us complete information. The thorn sculpture at the garden was amazing. 100% recommended.

Our friends told us we had to see the Kathedraal van Doornen which is being built near the Landhuis Bloemhof . We met the artist Herman van Bergen who guided us through the Cathedral that is almost near completion which was great because he drew our attention to some things that we had not noticed . This is a very interesting work of art made from thorny branches specially treated and arranged in all kind of different shapes and various symbols of today's world religions . After wards we had a great walk all around the landhuis and saw some other works from different artists .
