It was crowded and smelled like garbage. There were lots of flys and pigeons.(Yuck!) There is no entrance fee but they charged $5 for a lounge chair. If I had to do it over again, I would stop to take my picture by the Kokomo sign then leave. There are much nicer beaches on the island.

This is one of the best beaches to watch a sunset. The beach is freely accessible, but you have to pay for the beds. However, the beach closes at 7pm. So around that time there is hardly anyone left. A sunset just before 7pm is wonderfully peaceful and beautiful from this beautiful beach.

This beach is not to big and had a nice restaurant where you can stay all day and have drinks and good food. Take it slow at kokomo. Lately there are a lot of flies around sitting on you, your food and drinks. Hopefully they can solve this problem, because it is getting annoying after some days. We visit this play 4 of ten days and are never recognised by the people, could be a bit more personal.

We were on a cruise, docked in CuraƧao early afternoon. We rented a scooter and drove to Kokomo Beach. We were wanting a nice quiet day at the beach and that is exactly what we had. Less then 50 people. It was quiet. We snorkeled, soaked up the sun, had a great dinner, and watched the sun set. It was my favorite stop on our Southern Caribbean Cruise! Perfect romantic day and evening.

My husband and I visited on the Curacao Beach and Hato Caves Tour. We had incredible food at the restaurant and the drinks were some of the best on the island. The ones at the beach bar were definitely stronger than those at the restaurant! They do charge for seats on the beach (there are free orange seats in the back), but definitely worth it!

Stopped here briefly in late afternoon. Beach was pretty but very small. Beach chairs available but unsure of rental fee. Had good-sized restaurant but we didn't eat there. There was some construction being done on part of the beach. Many chickens in parking lot.

Spent the day here and had lunch too which was very tasty indeed. Ordered the carpaccio sandwich and boy was it good. Two nice slices of thick brown bread, lots of carpaccio and salad to fill. Service was quick and friendly. Would definitely recommend! Beach is on the small side so arrive early - service on the beach was top notch too.

This beach gets very crowded, due to its proximity to town. There are much nicer beaches further out on the island. What I really disliked was the evidently non-natural sand on the beach. Yellow-brown and certainly not white coral sand. Drinks are OK

Perfect beach for a quick getaway from Willemstad. We ran into traffic and roadblocks, and still it only took 30 minutes. The beach was small, quiet, with families and couples. We didn't have a problem finding a place - we went on a Friday. The restaurant was so-so, but staff were helpful.

Get here early to get seats cuz itās a very small beach and no one is leaving. No shade spots. Have nice beds if u can get one. Beach is small and extremely rocky to get in. Becuase of this we had to leave and go elsewhere.

Are the backpacks searched when you go on to the beach? Is there a way to reserve a cabana in advance
Hi,
Is there a bus that goes here? How much is a taxi round-trip? Is it VERY rocky? we don't have water shoes - will that be a problem? Are chairs free? Is there an entrance fee?
Thanks!!

I'm not sure how much a taxi would cost because it is a bit of a distance from the downtown area. Although kilometer or mile wise it is not that far, the roads are winding and slow to travel on. Water is lovely, no need for water shoes unless you feel safer with them on. There is no entrance fee but I do believe there is a fee for chairs. We rented a car and you really need to pay attention to where the cutoffs for certain roads are or you could find yourself lost.

Can you get a bus from the port at curacao to kokomo beach? How long does it take and how much does it cost? Thank you in advance.

The port is right next to the Marriott Resort & Casino. I would suggest a taxi from the Marriot (walking distance, less than 5 mins from port). The beach is maybe 15mins from there. Free to get in but they charge $5/chair & you can't bring in any food or drink. There is a restaurant there that serves food & drink.
How much does it cost to enter the beach?

Als je kijkt op Kokomo Beach en op Kokomo beach CuraƧao gaat dit beiden over hetzelfde strand/dezelfde strandtent. Dus het maakt niet zoveel uit wat je bekijkt op Tripadvisor.

Hi, wanted to know if this is a "man-made" beach? And are there any fish here? Trying to decide where to snorkel.

Hey! Yes you can snorkle there. It isnt a man made beach. The beach is very rocky when entering definitely need swim shoes. I do not snorkle but saw many people doing so. I also saw a few fishes when entering the water so I can imagine how they were in the deep end. I say go for it. The mojitos and food was great so it wont be a waste.
