About
Mambo Beach Boulevard is a unique concept for the island of Curacao. A strip that combines shopping, dining, entertainment and the best beach the island has to offer. The Mambo Beach Boulevard truly is the 'anytime' destination. It hosts the largest beach on the Island, with more than 50 stores, restaurants and activities spread out over two levels. Entrance and parking is free of charge.

We are middle-age couple and there were a lot of kids later at night. During the day, the shopping and restaurants were good but not exceptional.Visited February 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten February 20, 2024

Saw a couple sun dresses around $200 USD. Cute stuff but not for those prices. The bars and food were good and reasonably priced.Visited February 2024Traveled soloWritten February 26, 2024

Restaurants provide many great choices and shops abound. We love coming here each time we are on island. Saturday 16th April and we walked the 500 metres, approximately, from our Hotel, Sunscape Curaçao to visit this beachfront area.
The Boulevard is lined with numerous bars, restaurants and rather expensive outlets.
It was definitely built and designed with mass tourism in mind which is reflected in the prices charged.
Going down the steps from the top level onto the beachfront, where there was a charge to go on the beach, Adults $3.50 and children $2.50. Sunbeds etc ranged from around €5 to €20 depending on the type of lounger.
It was lined with bars with loud music and sunbeds were tightly packed together.
Got the impression was to squeeze as many in as possible and charge high prices.
There was no charge to walk around the Boulevard.

After our visit to the Sea Aquarium, decided to take a look here. We thought we ended up in the Curaçao zoo instead. It was everything what I excepted it to be: terrible with a clear focus on mass tourism and cheap entertainment (for a premium price, of course).
Furthermore, the boulevard was deserted. We were the only people walking on it so restaurant owners desperately tried to lure us in with offers of steak. We even saw a big Subway, because when on the beach there's nothing better than eating a foot long sandwich.
This is the place were Dutch package holiday people go to spend their holiday with other Dutch package holiday people. Eating fast food while under the assumption that this is the real Curaçao life and way to spend your holiday in Curaçao. Just like they probably think Lloret de Mar is the real Spain. Good for them, not my cup of tea. If you love Lloret de Mar, you'll probably love Mambo Beach.
Avoid if you're sensible. There are better places to spend your time and money.

Lovely shops but a must-visit is Creative Candle & Gift Decoration. If you're looking for a memorable, unique and classy piece to remember Curacao that does not scream souvenir, this is the place. A family of talented artists, timeless candle pieces, driftwood with unusual artwork, plant pots made of candle. All the pieces incorporate natural elements like coffee beans, anise, Cinnamon bark. The service is impeccable, the artists themselves. Prices are reasonable. Go have a look, you won't be able to resist!

Very touristy area on a man made stretch of beach. This is like an outdoor mall with shops and restaurants where you can combine beach time with shopping. Free parking is available. The beach clubs offer chairs and cabanas for rent. I would recommend a stop here but if you're limited on time, definitely check out some of the natural beaches.

Just like most resorts, Mambo Beach Resort Curacao is very busy with (Mostly) the under thirties. They are the ones with money to burn. Lucky if there are any chairs vacant. It's a beach full of kids lying on sunbeds in the shade, mostly playing with their smartphones & taking selfies.. They are the crowd that global beach resorts cater for mostly. The portions of food have shrunk, and the prices have increased. Sometimes the service is okay, other times the young staff are so busy chatting to each other, you become 'forgotten.' If I see this, I walk up to them and order.
An expensive airport style mini shopping mall is located directly behind the beach. The only nature here is the sea.
You can spent the day at Mambo and easily get through a couple of hundred dollars. If you like overcrowded beaches, highly recommended!

Mambo is a horrible joke played on all tourists. All the “food court options” portray themselves as individual restaurants. That is the furthest thing from the truth. All of the food courts options are listed on one menu…..hmmm. Then you have the predatorial behavior from the waiting staff that can only be compared to that of a used car salesman. Then you have smoking. If you like hanging out in places that mimic at Tampa Bay dive bar, then this is your place. Then you have the food, if you can call it that. Absolutely horrible. Then after your done you can be harassed by homeless people who by the “kindness of their heart” want to get a taxi for you. Now if this is your idea of a dream night out, absolutely go here!

We walked over the Mambo Beach one afternoon for a look around. There were a few stores, some restaurants, and a crowded beach and it was stifling hot. We sat for a cold drink then headed back to our nearby less busy beach. If you go, I'd suggest early evening would be a better time unless you plan to spend the day on the beach.

A quick 15 ride from the cruise port brought us to Mambo. Great choice to spend day in the sun with nearby shopping, fun, drink and warm, inviting waters. Beach chairs and umbrellas available at a reasonable price!

This is a great spot for shops and restaurants if you are staying at a resort close by. Many of the restaurants are excellent. Just be prepared that you have entered island time and nothing is fast. If you see something at a shop purchase it now do not wait until you are back in the evening or even later in the day as the shops all keep wacky hours and close at whim any time of the day.

How much is the cost to enter the beach? Is there Uber near the cruise port?

For entering the mambo beach boulevard there is no charge. Nonetheless, there are two charges for the beach: the entry fee is $3.50 and for a beach chair its $4.

I will be in Curacao for a full day in March. How far from the cruise terminal is this beach? The cost of a taxi and or a bus?? Thank you so much. Is this a nice beach for the day?
Written October 4, 2017
Take a bus; it is much cheaper than a taxi. Mambo Beach is outside of Willamsted. The bus terminal is very close to where the ships dock. Residents of Curacao are friendly and can direct you. The buses are marked on the license plate BUS; just look for one going to the Sea Aquarium....the bus driver will tell you when to get off for Mambo! Enjoy!

Thiago, boa tarde.
