Curacao has a huge abundance of fish and coral. You won't see anything big or extraordinary but what there is, there is plenty of. The sheer volume of underwater life makes this a beautiful and interesting dive. There are plenty of lionfish, moray eels, parrot fish, prawns, barracuda and surgeonfish, many in large schools.
The multilingual team at Atlantis are friendly and honest about the best dive spots. We were picked up from the cruise terminal, taken for a great dive and returned on time, with some tips on where else to go on the island thrown in too.

Easy to book via email. Was able to accommodate an afternoon dive as the cruise-ship arrival time was in the afternoon. Waiting for me on arrival with a large sign with my name. Short ride to dive shop which was very spacious. Equipment well maintained. Safety briefing and short 2 minute walk to the ocean. Nice long reef dive. Enjoyed learning about the coral restoration project. Was back to ship in around 2 hours from pickup and dive was 50 mins.
Would dive with them again if the opportunity presents!

Could not have better things to say about Atlantis Diving. Our dive master Renske was knowledgeable and supportive both before and during the dives. We took the sea-turtle excursion and were not disappointed (to say the least). Beautiful corals and a variety of tropical fish at Cas Abao followed by a 2nd dive at Playa Piskado where we were greeted by a fleet of sea turtles dining and lounging in the shallow waters. The trip's provided lunch was light and refreshing, as was the cold water between dives. When you go (and I HIGHLY recommend you do!) don't forget to say hi to Zepp out front ;)I also was proposed to on while underwater at Playa Piskado (a complete surprise) and Renske was kind enough to film everything! Atlantis Diving even included a champagne toast at the end.An unforgettable trip made even better by the staff at Atlantis Diving!!!

Professional dive center, well kept equipment, friendly staff and save dives. Apart from that, I liked the easy going atmosphere; you get your own coffee and prepare your set yourself. We spotted cool stuff during the dives and filmed it with the centers video equipment. Great! I was referred to Atlantis by a friend and I highly recommend it.

Thank you for your review, Aimee! It was great having you, and you were very lucky on your dives with all the marine life you encountered. We arranged that especially for you ;). Hopefully we'll see you again!

Our dive instructor Ruud is the best! He is very knowledgeable, patient and encouraging. He instructed our 13 yrs old twins through the Jr. Open Water Diver course and gave them the confidence to be good divers. The dives were interesting and his selection of dive sites were well thought out. The staff is friendly and very helpful, especially Nanda, his wife. Atlantis Diving is well located, just down the street from Avila and Baoase Resorts. We will definitely dive with them again when we return to Curacao! Fully recommend others to check them out.

I was in Curacao for a conference and had a free day for field trips. Myself and two friends decided to do some diving and I found Atlantis Diving's website (I picked this shop because of its location, great reviews and reasonable rental prices). We mostly had our own gear and a rental car, but needed tanks and wanted recommendations of where to dive. Marcel was very helpful in suggesting sites (and we ran into him and some of his divers a few times throughout the day) and made us feel very welcome. Everyone in the shop seemed to genuinely want to help us get the best diving experience possible, and I would highly recommend them.

The first thing Martin our dive master/instructor" said is "Here we relax: easy beach entry, no need to go deep, enjoy the sights..."
We are a mixed family diving group. Myself 67, one full year diving including certification, making up for lost time with 23 dives in 4 locations before Curacao. My adult daughter and son in law 20 dives but not in the past 7 years. My adult son just doing Open Water Referral certification. Three other family members snorkeling including a 6 year old and a non swimmer.
All of us thoroughly enjoyed Atlantis Diving and Apartments where the diving operation is thoroughly professional, helpful and highly entertaining. See my separate review of the excellent accommodations at Atlantis Apartments where our non diving family members also had a fine time.
This was my first beach entry experience. Not as "interesting" as my other varied dive experiences because the beaches on the leeward side of Curacao are so easy. Virtually no wave action, sandy bottom, inconsequential swim before descent, and so on. We did guided two tank dives. You load your gear into a van and look at the island sites (big flock of flamingos for example) during a drive to the selected beach. You gear up, walk into the ocean, put on your fins and go diving. After the first dive, usually stay at the same beach. Usually good facilities, often an ok beach front restaurant or snack bar for the surface interval. Gear up with second tank; a second relaxing dive.
Most of the diving we did was to a maximum of 40-50 ft (12-15 metres) -- only went to 60 ft (18 metres) a couple of times, primarily for the experience of my son when he joined us on his last 2 certification dives.
The most spectacular attraction is the coral: so many varieties and amazing colors, groups of striking purple tubes as long as a person, brain corals several feet across. As for other aquatic, creatures, nothing really large but we saw lots of interesting items: beautiful spotted trunkfish, cowfish, two turtles, two types of eel, the usual butterfly and angels and wrasses of various colors, more than enough lionfish including on a restaurant menu and one really strange creature which we think was a Flying Gurnard.
The dive operation was well organized and the staff experienced and caring. My daughter who had 20 dives in a few locations but had not dived for 7 years took a refresher dive. She had a problem with mask clearing and got quite nervous. Martin was exceptional in the way he helped her get control and get into the dive.
While there are some more challenging dives such as the Superior Producer wreck, we did not attempt them, mostly because it was a very busy week at the dive center, with 2 days in the middle of the week being New Years festivities. We were more than satisfied with the relaxing style of diving we did.

We dove with Atlantis when we were in Curacao for one day on a cruise ship. They picked us up at the port, and drove us back to the dive shop. The dive shop is a full service PADI dive shop with a large assortment of equipment for purchase and ample rentals. The staff are friendly and professional and take the time needed to make sure you are properly equipped for diving. We went to two dive sites with excellent visibility and loaded with marine life. We will definitely contact Atlantis Diving if we return to Curacao.

I contacted them five months in advance and they responded to every single email I sent, they even answered to any questions I asked regarding Curacao in general. I scheduled two shore dives (Tugboat and Piere Baai) and a dive trip to Klein Curacao. I had a great experience, very knowledgeable and friendly staff, special thanks to Robin and Martin. Atlantis Diving is a PADI facility with a very professional attitude.

I have done my Open Water and Advanced Open Water course with Atlantis (Renske) and it was a great experience!
The staff is all amazing and I would highly recommend this dive school.
The gear is all in great condition under the supervision of Ruud (manager).

Hi - are all your dives shore dives or do you do them from the boat too? I can't walk into the water but can jump in and climb out!

Hi Amanda, thank you for your question. And yes, all our dives are from shore, and although is easy, there is no surf, it is still a short walk. For boat diving we recommend Ocean Encounters or Caribbean Sea Sport.

Helaas niet, de appartementen staan leeg en moeten op termijn verbouwd gaan worden. Ze zijn niet meer in ons bezit, dus verdere informatie heb ik niet.
