My family and I have been on two trips with Gordo and both were fantastic. On the second trip Gordo worked hard to put us on the fish as there was very little action for the first few hours. Then boom! Hit after hit including a 160# yellow fin that fought for about an hour. Great times. The downside is there may never be a better fishing trip. Shout out to first mate Cornell who my kids loved. We left each trip with enough fish for several delicious meals. We have a third trip planned in June and can't wait.…

Picked up at 0730 at our resort. Lines went out almost immediately. Started with 2 small barracuda. We trolled all day. Weather was perfect. Then we finished strong. My husband and I took turns in the fighting chair, except when we had a double hook up on mahi and later in the day with the double hook up on yellow fin tuna. In between we had 3 more mahi and finished the day with yet another mahi. I got to catch the large tuna, guesstimated at 60+ lbs. It’s the largest fish I’ve ever caught that wasn’t released. Definitely the toughest fight. There were a few times I wasn’t sure I could finish the fight, but the Captain and the mate just kept working with me and encouraging me. These 2 guys are a great team. This boat catches fish!!! We will fish with them anytime we are in Curacao. Highly recommend this team.…

We had an amazing trip with Capt. Gordo for my birthday! Honestly, the best day of fishing in my life. We caught 950 lbs of yellowfin tuna with the catch of the day at 187 lbs. The boat was comfortable and Capt Gordo knew exactly where to find the fish! The Captain and his mate work hard all day to find the fish and help you reel them in. They also had all the food and refreshments we needed for the day.…

Another action packed fishing trip! When I visit Curaçao there is one trip I can’t miss and that’s fishing with Captain Gordo and his mate Coronel on the Papucho!! This time was extra special because it has been over a year that I even touched a rod-and-reel. But with these guys I know they got my back and as always the gear and bait were well prepared and we all want to get out there fishing. Once I got on board they treated me to something called ‘Pandushi’… the best local sweet bread ever!! Awesome I really appreciated that! One hour later while trolling I hear Gordo scream Blue!! Blue!! And out of the foaming prop wash a marlin charged and smashed my bait on the flat line and I immediately dropped back and hooked it up. Wow!! Coronel brought me a belt and then the fight began…. We fought for approx 35 mins while Captain Gordo backed down chasing the fish for a mile or two…. Excellent work by the Captain who knows these water like his backyard. Once I tipped Coronel helped me to release the fish… wow what a day on the Caribbean sea! And it would not be Gordo if he didn’t offer me an ice cold Polar beer to quench my thirst after that great fight. After the blue we trolled for a while and Captain Gordo showed me a fad where we hooked up a wahoo! He later told me it weighed 31 kg… a beautiful fish!! Man what an awesome day thanks Captain Gordo and Coronel, see you next time when I’m there!! Thank you for the great pictures and memories of my vacation on the island…

As an avid fisherman I had the opportunity to book a fishing trip with Captain Gordo and his first mate Koronel. What made this fishing trip special was that it was the first time I took my boys (age 6 & 9) out on a big game fishing trip secretly hoping they would get hooked. The boat was large enough to comfortably ride the "washing machine" near the buoy of East point ( close to Klein Curacao), the mate Koronel went out of his way to teach and show the kids how to reel in the fish. We ended up catching 4 yellow fin tuna's and had the excitement of a couple of other hits. Fantastic experience and next time I'm back on Curacao I'll not hesitate to book another trip with Captain Gordo and Koronel.…
