Great diving experience with Whitney. Friendly dive shop that made you feel like you were part of the family. The previous day I dove in Bonaire with the cruise ship. The diving was good there too but a bit of a cattle call with 21 people compared to 4 on our beach dive with Dive Bus. We did 2 tank dives off the beach literally right across the street of 60 minutes each. Biggest negative was the cost of the taxi ride from the cruise terminal but they made me well aware of that when I signed up.

I want to encourage all divers returning to Curacao, (once the Covid-19 crisis has diminished enough that that international tourist travel is permitted), to book your dives with The Dive Bus, founded by Mark and Suzy Pinnell over a decade ago.
In my opinion, The Dive Bus is the best dive operation on the island.
Assisted by Zoe and her expertise in the shop and handling bookings, they promote and provide very relaxed shore diving experiences led by very hard working, fun loving and extremely professional dive guides. They your put safety first.
Unlike some crowded boat dive operators on a fixed daily schedule, The Dive Bus team always takes care to ensure you have as much time as possible to enjoy the island reefs.
The surface intervals between dives are never rushed because they want you to relax, take in your surroundings, and take your time preparing to enjoy your next dive.
There are a lot of shore diving sites on the island and The Dive Bus team will make sure they take you to a site where you will see amazing reefs and the incredible wildlife living on them.
Rest assured The Dive Bus will make sure the reef they take you to will be geared to your level of diving so that you feel stress free and enjoy your dives to the fullest.
If you curious about diving and are looking for a dive shop who will introduce you to an introductory dive in a controlled and safe manner, I would encourage you to contact The Dive Bus.
If you want to continue and take courses to obtain any dive certificate, The Dive Bus can easily accommodate you in a relaxed, outdoor teaching environment.
You can bring your own gear or rent a complete package at The Dive Bus Shop. Air tanks are always available and independent and local divers are always welcomed. Nitrox is available on request.
They also have a well stocked shop on site should you wish to purchase good quality masks, fins and other dive accessories, not to mention fun apparel and souvenirs to remind you of the great time you had visiting and diving Curacao.

All of the companies we dived with in Curacao were great, but The Dive Bus was definitely a contender for the best. They took us shore diving at Superior Producer and Double Reef. They were simultaneously very professional and very fun, plus they provided lunch! The Superior Producer Wreck is possible to do as an unguided shore dive, but it's not super easy to locate if you don't know where it is and it's not available every day as sometimes a cruise ship is parked in the dock. So having a company that knows the area and knows the timetable will make the experience all the more enjoyable, and I highly recommend The Dive Bus.

We came to Curacao for ten days of diving that ended up being almost a month as the dire covid situation in Europa convinced us that working remotely in the island while still diving was a very good idea.
I had contacted Zoe before and she was always super responsive and efficient providing the information I needed to made my choice to dive with The Dive Bus. As we are experienced divers, we opted for the independent diving package and later on just kept coming back for tanks and advice during our whole stay.
The Dive Bus guys are a very friendly and helpful bunch, always more than willing to dedicate you some time for explaining how to get to the best dive sites, get you a new dive computer battery or fix your regulator. I honestly can't think of a better support for diving Curacao independently which is something very much doable due to the abundance of awesome shore dives.
We also went on a couple of dives with them, to East point, which requires a boat ride but is very much worth it as it is a super pristine reef. And also in our first lionfish hunting experience (they are an invasive species and divers help keeping their numbers low). We liked it so much that we kept doing during our stay in the island.
It also gives them a big plus that their "house reef" just across the road is a very unique place. While the shallow part is excellent for night dives (amazing octopus encounter!), going a bit deeper you encounter the very bizarre and unique car pile (check it out, very cool site).
Last but not least, they were super helpful arranging our car rental and getting us in contact directly with the owner of an apartment nearby where we end up staying until we sadly had to take our flight back to curfews, masks, restrictions and whatnot.
In summary, impeccable service and totally recommended!

This dive shop is hands down my favorite place to spend my money! If you're looking for a shop that is personable, fun, organized, passionate about diving, and most importantly one that will make sure you're comfortable and safe under the water, book your trip with The Dive Bus! Maybe I am biased because I'm a sucker for Mark and Zoe's charming accents, but their friendliness and sarcasm, balanced with incredible professionalism, leaves me beyond happy whenever I set foot in their shop. I even brought my parents to them, who, upon meeting, instantly gave me their blessing to continue my life long journey with The Dive Bus. ā¤ . My only thing against The Dive Bus is they have set the bar very high for all other dive shops I visit. What a great problem I have. So if you want to stay complacent with mediocre diving experiences, I wouldn't recommend them because I promise they will exceed all your expectations!
My Open Water and Advanced Open Water instructor, Whitney (not Houston), is truly incredible. She is very intelligent, patient, and knows when to help when necessary and when to just let you figure your silly mistake out yourself, then playfully laugh with you. Although we share the same accent, she is charming in many other ways as well.
The diving in Curacao speaks for itself, but finding The Dive Bus has been like finding a golden treasure that I want to share with the world. Can't wait to go back and couldn't recommend them more.

We had a fantastic day with Dominiqueā as our guide.
The dive bus communication on our booking was fantastic they stayed in touch and really made me feel like they would be ready for us and indeed they were with great service and fantastic dive gear.
We were only in town for the one day because we were on a cruise ship so itās always a little tricky to book your own excursions but they did a great job in making us feel like it would work out perfectly and it did it was an easy taxi ride to the dive bus from the cruise ship terminal. the taxi was $35 for 3 of us and it took 15 to 20 min.
The dive site was amazing we saw amazing animals that I have seen only once or twice in over 200 dives
We saw a seahorse a swimming snake eel spotted juvenile drums, an adult drum and many other awesome animals.
The walk to the shore is about 100 yards across the street with full gear on I thought it would be harder than it was for my wife who has had a knee replacement but it turned out to be an easy walk and shore entry. But I do see why they require fins with boots because of the walk and Rocky entry.
Overall a fantastic experience very easy to do on a cruise ship day at port!

I first came into contact with The Dive Bus during a one day cruise stop in 2019, and was so impressed with Mark, Zoe, and the entire staff that I chose them for all shore dives during a recent one month stay in Curacao. Shore diving in Curacao is outstanding, and The Dive Bus team pushes that description up into the exceptional category. I had the pleasure of having both Mark and Zoe as Dive Masters on numerous dives, and have not worked with better Dive Masters. They are safety conscious, highly professional, and a lot of fun to dive with, making every dive a special experience. I have seen them work with new, and far more experienced divers, with everyone getting the maximum benefit of the underwater adventure. Had I just used a dive operator offering only boat dives, instead of the Dive Bus, I would have missed so much fantastic diving in the more northern dive sites on the island. They are certainly my dive operator of choice for shore diving in Curacao.

Thank you Dive Bus for awesome diving experience. They were professional, accommodating to our needs as cruise ship visitors and went above and beyond! Our guide was patient and attentive with such a mixed group of divers. Thank you Dive Bus! We will be back to dive with you again!

We are all isolating in our homes or restricted by Travel at this time and when the "door" is finally open we will all need to get out. The place to go is CuraƧao and the Dive Bus in particular.
Suzy, Mark and Zoe will be there to help you plan, guide you through the time of your life diving. Whether you are an experienced diver or want to learn this is the place to do it.
They have great experienced instructors to guide you through any level of diving. If you have done an online course and need to get your Certification let them know and come get Certified.
If you are staying at a local hotel not an issue they will be there to pick you up in "The Dive Bus" and bring you back to the store to get ready with updated well maintained equipment or bring your own, Air or Nitrox is available on request.
Hope to see you there as we will be back there soon.

Incredible coordination and incredible dives! We had initially scheduled a trip to Curacao in 2020 and plans were derailed. They were more than accommodating and allowed us to reschedule with no issues. We had a large, diverse group: 2 people getting open water certified, 3 people doing recert dives, and 4 people just diving. Additionally, we had 7 other people snorkeling, and a photographer! They crafted a perfect few days for us and everyone had a wonderful time, could not be more appreciative nor recommend a diving center more than The Dive Bus.

We are experienced divers, are we able to rent tanks and go on our own? If so, what is cost of tanks?

It cost us $27 a day per person for unlimited tanks. You can definitely go on your own and they are very helpful in recommending dive sites.

HI there. I was wondering, if you are not a diver and do not have certification, can you still go out with a pro and have them take you on a little dive, one that you can do without certification but would get you deeper than snorkeling?

There are good dive spots all over the island and no single resort is close to all of them. We stayed at the Sunscape and the Dive Bus was right across the street. There was a dive site at the Sunscape where we did 3 dives.

How do they operate ? We are open water certified. We also have all equipment . Do we get picked up and dropped off at different sites and go solo?

We are returning to Curacao for the holidays and hope to dive with the Dive Bus again. We were there in 2011 and did our Advanced Open Water certification then. We have already scheduled a sailing excursion which includes optional diving but does not provide equipment. Is it possible to rent equipment from Dive Bus for the day? One of our group is in need of advanced open water certification so we are thinking about taking additional courses which he can apply to that.
