Diving through The Dive Bus was such a great experience. Everything was organized and they were ready to accommodate a group. They were very professional and fun! I would highly recommend The Dive Bus for scuba diving in Curacao.

Many thanks to the crew at the Dive Bus for making our diving truly memorable. Everyone we interacted with during our two weeks of diving on Curacao was pleasant, knowledgeable and happy to share their expertise with us. Shore diving was a new experience, but...More

Yeah. You don't have to have a certification. It was my first time and they were very knowledgeable and professional.

There are good dive spots all over the island and no single resort is close to all of them. We stayed at the Sunscape and the Dive Bus was right across the street. There was a dive site at the Sunscape where we did 3 dives.

Beach/Snorkle/Sunset cruise (0 Replies)
Hi to all. Will be in port for one day 1PM til 10PM.Would like to spend some time at the Dive Bus Hut for some beach/snorkling/lunch/beer and then maybe a sunset cruise. Is this all possible within walking distance which would be great. Is anyone familiar with Island-experience tours? Their web site says they have sunset tours but I can't seem to find where they are located. I think they are at sea-aquarium beach. Is this close to the dive bus? Any info appreciated Thanks

Hyatt Regency Vs. Marriott Resort - Curacao (5 Replies)
Hyatt looks fabulous, remote, and calming- definitely a look good resort- but my main question is- is it short on function? The Marriot Beach Resort looks like it has some fun shore/snorkel activities and seems to be closer to the city and dive operations like the Dive Bus, etc. Im going for my honeymoon, so I want to make sure my wife and I have plenty to do in and around where we are staying. Would the Hyatt, despite is beauty, really be out of the way for a lot of things? My main...More

I haven't been to the Hyatt so I cannot offer an opinion on that hotel. However, my husband and I stayed at the Marriott 2 years ago and loved it so much we are returning this August for a longer stay. The Marriott does have great snorkling right off shore, as well as a beautiful beach. When I was there last they offered a free shuttle to and from town. But in all honesty, just forgo the shuttle and rent a car. It is worth it!!! The best beaches are a drive to the west side. Also, it...More
Curacao in November (4 Replies)
I am planning a solo trip to Curacao in November to dive. I am planning to stay at one of the less expensive hotels in Curacao. I'm trying to decide if I should get a car. If I stay in Williamstad would I need a car? Also what would a taxi from the airport to Williamstad cost? I plan on diving with The Dive Bus. Anyone had experience with them?

Well, it depends. How long are you staying? There are no real beaches in Willemstad, so if you only want to shop and sightsee, then there are plenty of restaurants to walk to. To visit the beaches, you will need a car. They can be had for $40 a day including insurance.
