Review of: Explorers Dive
My family and I took the "Explorer's" dive and it was an amazing experience! We are all scuba divers so underwater is not unfamiliar to us, but this was totally different. Bruce was our pilot and Jordy was the underwater photographer. We were giing to do the 1000 ft dive, but after talking to Jordy at the shop, we decided to do the Explorer dive instead. So glad we did! Their newest "little red" sub was terrific and had plenty of room for all four of us (we are all over 6 ft tall). My wife is a little claustrophobic, and she had no issues with the sub dive. Bruce and Jordy were great to work with and explained everthing about the dive and all the safety procedures. The dive itself was fantastic, a truly memorable experience. We hit 180 meters plus!! After the dive, the guys even took time to show us around their shop and talk to my daughter about potential intern possiblilities since she is going to college for Aquarium and Zoo Science. An all around wonderful and truly memorable experience! A big thanks once again to Bruce and Jordy for everything! PS If you are a diver and bring your log book, they will sign and stamp it as this counts as a dive.

this new submarine is amazing, it is like being in a sci-fi movie! it is (no pun intended) a really immersive experience, we were surrounded by crystal clear water and there was so much life everywhere! kudos to our pilot Jordi, he was awesome!

Review of: Explorers Dive
Thoroughly worth the cost and effort... put succinctly, a unique experience. You go down to almost 200 metres, see the reef and its splendour up close and personal, have a look at a ship wreck (which was oddly sunk on purpose and slid off the reef to land at about 180 metres below). Our dive took one hour or so, and during that time our driver Jordy showed us everything there was to see. On top of that Bruce was the outside paparazzi, taking pictures of us from outside the submarine, and Jordy took some inside. All in all, an really enjoyable time was had by my wife and I, whilst on our 25th wedding anniversary 2nd honeymoon, and one I would thoroughly recommend. Yes a little pricy but as we learned this organisation barely makes a profit, so operating a submarine and all the safety equipment (safety is paramount to this organisation, by the way) is not inexpensive. Go on, treat yourself. It's not every day you get to live out your James Bond fantasies. Oh, and we recommend that you book direct, as these guys have to pay commission to travel agents and they really need every penny to literally keep this venture afloat (or below water)! And you get lots of free stuff (T-shirts, an absolute tonne of photographs, drinks, free admission to the Sea Aquarium and a complimentary polystyrene cup - you'll see what I mean when you get there). In all, it's the gift that keeps on giving, so give it a whirl, believe me, you wont be disappointed.

We did the Explorer’s Dive and Bruce was our driver. Bruce was very pleasant, kind and answered all of our questions. How he was able to pilot the submersible so close to things without hitting it was very impressive! Don’t worry about the type of footwear because you will remove them. We saw a lot of near coral, fish (including a group of tuna), and the shipwreck. It was neat to see what has happened to the ship over time and also to see how it sits on the floor/wall. This experience wasn’t scary at all. We felt safe the whole time. The team has taken a lot of safety precautions that they will go over with you. It was an educational experience as well as fun! A scuba diver took a lot of neat pictures of us in the sub so that was a great keepsake! Ladies…don’t wear a dress or skirt unless you have shorts underneath! Getting in/out and the pictures will be the reason you don’t want to!

This was a true highlight of our trip. We took the combo dive, and we loved it. The reef is gorgeous, and we saw so much incredible sea life. There is not a lot of life in the deeper areas, which made it all the more fun to look for the life that was there. The staff are incredibly friendly and were so professional. We were never uncomfortable (despite the small space in the sub- definitely don't do this if you're claustrophobic). We really loved the experience. And they made sure to send us home with some wonderful photos to remember it.
