Took the public bus (small van with sign that says Mambo beach, among other places) at bus station in Punda for $2. About 10-15 mins to Mambo beach, drop off right in parking lot. Lots of shops, chairs, loungers, restaurants and many many people! The ocean was deliciously clear and aquamarine. Lots is soft sand and no rocks. Minimal waves due to the rock barrier. The $3.50 charge for beach entrance is not applicable after 4pm. I just wanted to swim at a good beach for a few hours and that’s what I got!

If you do not go to a beach in Curacao, then you have missed the experience of the island. Unfortunately, between the beach fee and chair rental, it costs about $10 USD/day/person.

Generally, the beach is filled with small groups of young, Dutch people, with a few families, and fewer retirees. There are lots of food and drink bars and restaurants.

Save money by taking a local bus to/from the beach - $2 USD/trip/person instead of $30 USD per ride from downtown (under 10 minutes drive).

My only issue with Mambo Beach is that this is the only place in Curaçao where there were lots of European smoke stacks. Didn’t have that issue anywhere else. As a result there are a lot of cigarette butts in the sand. Other than that we really liked the beach. Lots of good food options and shopping, and the service was better than anywhere else we went.

We went on Saturday and at 8:15am we had our pick of the best seats. By 8:45am all the good seats were taken, but still not crowded. By 11:00am it was crowded, but not too bad.

we were looking for a beach to spend the day in Curacao. The cruise ship offered this for $59 us each. Instead we asked a local who gave us this tip.
The taxis charge $25 for up to 6 people each way to Mambo Beach. The beach pass is $6 per person and the beach chairs are $4 each. for the day was $45 us for two.
The area is built up with shopping, restaurants and bars. The swimming area is lovely and there is an artificial breakwater with some interesting fish if you snorkel.
All in all a great day at a bargain price. On our return there were plenty of people to share the cab back to the port

The beach was absolutely stunning!! It cost $3.75 to enter the beach and just under $5 for a chair, but it is well worth it. The beach is clean and not too crowded (weekday morning). The drink service was fast when I ordered and all the staff was friendly. This was a great place to swim!

The beach was wonderful. You can rent two chairs for $10. The only down side was that it was a little crowded. It seems the cruise ships bring their passengers to this spot.
All in all, it’s still worth going there.
You can take a bus from Willemstad for $1 per person, as opposed to taking a taxi for $20.

Mambo Beach is a calm, clear lagoon in front of a clean shopping complex. There are many restaurants, and shops and ample lounge chairs for rent at the beach. Taxi ride was $14 each way ($7 per person), about a 15 minute ride from the Cruise Pier. Entrance fee was $3.50 per person as were the economy chairs. We walked the entire lagoon which had beautiful views, friendly iguanas, and we even got to see the Sea Lion Show from a bridge near the aquarium. We would definitely go back.

Mambo Beach is a bit of a tourist spot for sure. We visited in March 2020, and didn’t have to pay for entry or lounge chairs. We’ve been twice and it’s always been free. Happy Hour at the bar on the beach is Friday and Sunday and beer is quite cheap. Hey here’s nothing better than having a cold Polar on the beach under a shady palm tree! The snorkeling is ok. The swimming is nice, as this is a man made beach with a decent amount of sand. There’s a breakwater that prevents it from being too choppy while swimming. We climbed on the rocks and saw many crabs. The shopping is silly but the restaurants and snacks are good.

This beach is great for the younger crowd. It is a pay to enter beach that is almost full of sun loungers. There is no room to throw a towel on the beach. If you go there, I hope you enjoy loud music with plenty of base, Behind the beach are restaurants and small shops. There is also a small stage on the beach that provides live entertainment in the evenings. In front of all of this is a very large car park that provides access to taxis and buses.

I visited Mambo Beach after enjoying the /sea Aquarium which is located next to it. As you enter from the car park, there are lots of stores and restaurants where you can shop and eat before going downstairs to the beach. The sand is white and soft and the area is a very relaxing place to take a swim or just lounge. There is a stage at one end which was being prepared and I assume a concert or some type of performance was about to take place. It was very different to the other beaches on the island which did not have shopping areas. Some of them had vendors selling local souvenirs.
