A nice trail through the local Flora of Cuba. the trail will take any where from an hour to two to walk depending on your speed and how often you stop. Wear shoes with a thick sole, as most of the trail is on sharp lime stone. the trail is not wheel not accessible, there are areas where it narrows.... More

This is a great trip for active travellers. It was indeed 5cuc to use the hop off and on bus to this reserve. It's also 5cuc to get into the reserve. Make sure you go into the cave. It was really exhilarating. We did not get attacked by bats. They just flew above our heads as we entered their home.

this nature park is a perfect escape from the heat of the day. I was wandering around it alone and I managed to spot tons of little lizards, iguana and quite a big snakes. The guy at the ticket counter reassure me that there are no poisonous animals in Cuba and I am perfectly safe there all by myself. He... More

We entered the ecological reserve with high hopes after paying 5 CUC. Wow, where to start... I speak Spanish, but my girlfriend speaks English. So we were given two guides in different languages. The English translation is worse than Google Translate. It's as if it were written by a farsighted, drunk polyglot. It started off with me getting a beer... More

We went here at 10am from a nearby resort. The place was deserted and given a fabulously badly translated map we headed off into the woods. There is a lot of very narrow paths across the sharp white limestone pavement. Lots of holes and twists and turns - definitely not a place for people with wheelchairs, buggies or not so... More

Unbelievable visit underground. can be a little steep down a lit of steps initially but incredibly warm. Loved the power of nature with amazing formations of stalactites and stalagmites. Would recommend this to able bodied only.

A must see for ecosystem enthusiasts. Take the Hop On Hop Off Bus. The entry fee is 5 CUC and well worth the money in my opinion. It takes a good hour or more to go through the park to really enjoy it. It is very hot and humid within with bat caves, and a pit with a blue crab... More

Visited this reserve , this was our second time to Varadero so made sure I got there this time. This is a nice hour to hour and a half excursion. It is 5 CUC , you can get refreshments if you want to take them with you on the hike. No guide but they give you a map .The terrain... More

Great little hike through the trees. Didn't see any snakes or bugs but my hubby hid have a few bats fly over his head in the caves. lol. It's a bit of a rugged walk. Wear good shoes. Lots of little caves throughout. A bit of climbing involved in some spots.

This excursion is defiantly a must. Make sure to bring water , because it is pretty hot and you are unable to get any there. For only 5CUC you can enjoy a nice little hike where you will explore caves some with bats and some with skeletons. the journey ends at a beautiful lake with mangroves. The scenery is absolutely...
