We enjoyed a trip from Varadero to Havana in an Oldsmobile 57 with an hour in an open top Chevrolet around Havana. Junior was our guide, we also had a driver but have forgotten his name, they were both absolutely brilliant and very professional. We were picked up promptly at 8am and stopped an hour into our drive on the highest bridge, we were able to use the toilet and have a drink. On arrival in Havana Junior walked us around Havana and talked us through everything we were seeing, we then went for lunch in a lovely little restaurant, the meal for two cost us approx £35 and we were left to quietly enjoy it. Afterwards we were driven to our Chevrolet with a different driver whose knowledge of the city was incredible. After our hour in the open top Chevrolet we were met by Junior and continued our walk around Havana. We then started our journey back to Varadero, on the way back we stopped as another of their company cars had broken down and we gave a lift to the two tourists that were heading back, nothing is too much trouble for Havana 60 tours, my husband and I would highly recommend them to anyone, we were able to pay them in Sterling cash which they had informed us about by email. Varadero is about two hours from Havana, would absolutely recommend Havana 60 as part of your holiday, we felt like royalty all day.

I highly recommend Havana60 tours! my first time to Havana was such a great experience and couldn't have found a better way to explore this beautiful city with the help of Havana60! We booked online well before our trip to secure our spot. we were greeted by our tour Guide Yunior and our driver with their beautiful 57 Oldsmobile! The drive was about 2 hours to Havana from our resort and Yunior made the drive very fun. He is such a nice guy and can tell he really cares about our overall satisfaction of the trip. he never made it a dull moment! when we arrived to Havana it turned into a beautiful walking tour of 3 different parts of the city (old, new and central). the driver waited for us between transfers to each different part of havana. we also got to see the lighthouse, revolution square, old havana, capitol building, ernest Hemingway bar and other amazing parts all guided by the very informative Yunior! they took us for lunch at a restaurant that was really good! i really enjoyed the beans lol it was a bit pricey but I definitely enjoyed the food. its funny because when beyonce travelled to Havana, she ended up eating at the same place lol I highly recommend this tour over a bus because of the customer service and how personal it is! you are also able to ask to check out places that aren't on the normal route if you've been to Havana before and dont want to see the same things! Thank you so much, the memories will last a lifetime!

We booked a private tour for 8 ladies to Havana for the day. Our tour guide was Aramis, this guy was so great to us.
8 ladies just chilling taking our time to take in the trip, window shopping, taking pictures and day drinking. He took care of us, explaining things as we drove to the city and while in the city.
Would highly recommend you book your day trip with this company
310 cuc for 8 adults to Havana for the day from
Varadero resorts.

It's best to ask your concierge to call you a classic car. It's likely you won't get exhaust fumes in the face! Not all cars are in tip top shape but most are. You can also stop one (that's empty) any time and negotiate. I spent 80 CUC (about 80 USD) for a two hour tour (just 20 buck each) and it was a great afternoon!

Havana tour
Rather than spend the $120pp for the Sunwing tour, the four of this took a cab into Havana ($100 return trip. Driver waited in Havana to take us back to our hotel in Varadero). Booked with oldcarshavana.com for their 2 hour city tour in a ’55 Roadmaster convertable ($100) with “Julio César”. He was an excellent guide, spoke 4 languages and was very knowledgeable about the history, politics and culture of Cuba. They took us through old Havana, the diplomatic districts and the Miramar Neighborhood and so much more. We spend as much time as we wanted at the many historical spots. It was by far the best experience for our first trip to Cuba.
We would highly recommend this company, and this guide in particular.

We went on a day trip to Havana with our amazing tour guide Caesar in his lovely classic car!! He picked us up from our resort and drove us to and around Havana and was very knowledgeable and had lots of interesting facts to chat to us about. He made the long journey to Havana fun and we learnt a lot about Cuba and it’s history. He also took us for a meal at ‘Dona Carmela’ which was a cute place and food was nice and traditional but priced targeting tourists. We travelled with two young children (6 and 5) and the tour guide was well adaptable to our needs and the day! He spent the day with us and walked everywhere with us showing places worth seeing and we trusted his opinion and easily communicated with him. We felt happy, safe and comfortable with Caesar spending the day with us. Overall a great guy and would highly recommend him as a tour guide. It is also good to know what you want to see if you have any requests let the tour guide know. Friendly, very good English, very helpful.
Although the car was old it had air conditioning which was a must for us, was comfortable and the 2 hour journey overall was pleasant.
I would advise to to bring towels to sit on as the seats are leather. Bring change for the day out as tips are expected and the people in Cuba are really friendly so tips are well deserved.

We were in Havana Cuba in 96 and 98. When we came to Varadero, we wanted to see how things had changed. we decided to try Havana 60 Classic. We were delighted with our experience.
Jorge and Chino came to pick us up at our hotel, arriving before the scheduled time of 800 pm. The car was beautiful and fun to ride in. We had thought about going with a couple of other friends, but were worried that it would be too crowded. There was lots of room for 3 and there would have been enough space for 4 small people. But large adults would have been crowded, so we were glad there was just the 2 of us.
We enjoyed our walk though Old Havana and were pleased to see some special artifacts like Che's machine gun and Fidel's pistol. The Museum of the Revolution which displays Fidel Castro's boat Granma was also an interesting glimpse of history. Jorge was an excellent guide and told us a lot of history .
In addition to the standard Havana tour stops, we had the flexibility to choose some of our own stops. We took the opportunity to visit the Pan Am pool where we had attended water polo tournaments back in 1996 and 1998.
We were delighted with our tour and on comparing notes with our friends who went on the tour operator excursion, we saw and learned a lot more
We had hoped to walk along the malecon. We had only visited on sunny days before so we were astonished that it was closed owing to the waves crashing right over the sea wall.

We did the BEST day trip to Havana from our resort in Varadero today.
Our guide, Peter, and driver, Harry, picked us up at 8am in a 1953 orange Chevy Bel Air. The car was absolutely pristine and very comfortable. Myself, hubby and our kids (7 and 9) sat comfortably in the back. We stopped at a beautiful bridge/ lookout around the halfway mark. There was a clean washroom and a cafe for drinks, eats and pina coladas (in pineapples).
In Havana we toured the Old town and saw the most amazing architecture. So many vibrant colours. Peter is super knowledgeable about anything and everything Cuban. He really blew our minds with his informative, interesting and funny style.
We had lunch at El Costanaza and took in the breathtaking views of the city from a nearby fortress afterwards. Our guide told the server that it was also my birthday and they surprised us with a delicious desert, a candle and a song!
We ended the day with a drive along the Malecon and then revolutionary square and some other historical sights.
Peter was very accommodating and kind when the kids started getting tired and a bit cranky.
I would recommend Havana 60 Classic Tours without any hesitation.
Thank you for an unforgettable day!!

My two teenage sons and I had a great excursion from Varadero to Havana with guide Peter and driver Harry - Feb. 20, 2020. Both are really good guys, accommodating and aware of their clients. Peter is an excellent young tour guide, very knowledgeable about Cuban history, geography and economy. His english is great. Harry is a great driver. No concerns at all about this excursion - easy to book and pay after, both driver and guide let you know where you are going and what you will be doing and are open to changes or if you don't need much time in one place and more in another. Took us a to a great market and walk through Old Havana. The car was great, and did not seem like a two hour drive to havana. Thanks guys, it's a trip we'll remember forever.

We chose Veradero because we wanted to see Havana - where my husband's father was born! Because he's half Cuban, he was very curious about the History of Cuba and the tour guide did a phenomenal job! We didn't want to leave our baby at day care for 8 hours so he came with us and the staff and everyone on the bus was so cool and understanding about it! I was worried about how we'd kill 8+hours but once the tour started going the 8 hours made sense - honestly I could;ve spent longer I was having so much fun! Especially roaming around old Havana during free time. We loved everyone busking and my husband was so stoked to try authentic flan at one of the restaurants. Oh, and one of the bathroom pit stops is to get pina coladas served in a pineapple and oh my gosh, it was the BEST pina colada EVER! 5 stars for the Havana tour, you've gotta check it out!

Hi all, I am wondering if during the Havana Classic trip if there is time to wander around especially in barbers alley?
Written May 17, 2019
Absolutely, just have to ask. Another option is asking the driver to finish the trip near the alley.
