This. place. is. ideal. for. pictures.
I went in the beginning of November. During this time there was no vendors. Although there is a stip of beer and liquor that they sell on the dock. Alot of locals. Best place to get your photos

The alameda is a nice spot for pics. It has a gigantic Cuba structure where you can pose along with the bay view in the background.

The Club Náutico restaurant is a cheap place to have a bite & a beer in the shade, while enjoying a beautiful view.

A pleasant and relatively quiet park along the waterfront, which is enjoyable to stroll along and look along to ships in the port which is still active and admire the old dockside architecture. Many of the old warehouse buildings are not longer in use; but others have been converted to art/craft galleries, restaurants and the like, including the Puerto del Rey which brews its own beer on the premises and is a pleasant place for lunch.

Vast tree-planted square with a view of Santiago's bay and harbor where you can watch Cuban families, have a drink or a meal or catch the little ferry to Cayo Granma.
