When we got there, we were informed that the tour wasn't running that day which was no issue as we only went there for the cigar store. A lot of different people tried selling us cigars in Havana but we decided to go here as we'd been told on the way to the hotel from the airport in Varadero that this is a trustworthy place. I did buy some cigars from here and I'm very happy with the quality and price of them. I would definitely recommend the store to someone who wants to buy authentic Cuban cigars. They also have a little bar inside the store so it's a nice place to cool down.

What a fun activity. Mike loves cigars. We had to come here, because Mike read so much about it and the tour and workshop was fun. In case you come to Havana, make sure you pass by.

The tour of the cigar factory is fun and educational. The English-speaking guide almost overwhelmed us with information about cigar-making.

The Factory moved to a different location. To visit and do a tour there, you need to buy the ticket at a hotel concierge/tour seller. This currently location is just a store where you can buy Cigars. The selection is not so great, but I got very lucky. During my visit, the master roller CHINA was there rolling cigars, it was nice to watch her do her thing.

They're not really set up for visitors. They don't seem to know what is going on. They pointed to a corner and said; "Leave your camera there." Erm, no? Leave my camera in a corner?

The cigar factory tour was interesting, but only lasts 20 minutes. You cannot buy the tickets at the door. They go on sale for $10 per person CUC at 8:30 a.m. in the morning at Hotel Iglesia. The factory is about a seven-minute ride or 20-minute walk from the hotel. The tour starts every 30 minutes.

Husband went home with many cigars. The store is small but they are very helpful and have plenty to choose from.

So here's the deal. The one with the tour is called Modern Partagas Cigar Factory. It is a block away from a Romeo and Julieta factory. The price is 10 cuc. You must pay at a hotel or similar. You cannot get tickets at the door here. Tours start every 30 min, in English and French. Tour was outstanding. The gent was great. Saw all facets of cigar making from removing stems and veins, to rolling, sorting and boxing. This location is not next to El Capitolio, that one is the older one and closed to tours, but there is a legit factory store there with some of the habanos line. There was a guy trying to sell likely fakes here, but he was not aggressive. Near the modern Partagas factory is the R&J factory. There is a decent store in the R&J factory. Outside of this store there were very aggressive people hounding me to buy likely fakes...and dont necessarily believe them when they say they are the ones the workers get...the workers get 5 per day, awarded in an unbranded bundle of 25 on Fridays. The smokes are what I was told are "smaller" and in no way do they give the workers cohiba robustos or siglo vi.

Olá! Vi em alguns sites que a fábrica não se encontra mais perto do Capitólio. Vocês poderiam, por favor, me informar qual a localização da fábrica?

Have a couple of questions. I read on some Reviews that there are no tickets sold at the venue, but one has to buy that from someplace else.. Is that true ? And if so where is this "someplace else" ?
Also read that they have moved to new location, anyone know where ?
Third question, are Children allowed on tour ?

Hello, Visiting Havana in mid August, does anyone know whether in fact the factory will be opened for touring in August?

No, this time is vacation time for the workers, also during Christmas.

Could you pay for cigars at Partagas factory in USDs? I read in one place you could

Yes you can buy them from the factory but you can also buy cigars from the main square in the centre of Havana. Very often the workers from the cigar factory also sell cigars as they have an allowance for working there.

Thanks for the review. How did you get to the factory? Do you need to buy tickets or schedule the tour in advance?

Yes, several hotels can sell you tix for $10 each. We took a horse carriage ride and the driver knew where to go for the tix and where the Partagas Factory was! Very worth the effort!

Most hotels have a tour operator in the lobby and they get you the ticket ... you also pay them.

I have a client going to Cuba next month. How do I arrange tickets for a tour of the cigar factory?

We just asked a handsome driver to take us on a ride there. You can buy tour tickets at a hotel. Our guy took us to a Hotel on the way. We paid $60 for 2 of us to ride the horse & buggy for 3 hours. We also went to the Havana Club Rum Museum and a place to buy cigars too. They say cigars are cheaper from vendors than they are at the factory.
