We were on an 11-day tour of the western and central part of Cuba with a group of 18. We could not have been happier. We were split into two groups each with a guide, Tony and Aniel. But we were often together giving us two guides. They were wonderful, so knowledgeable, helpful and caring. They could not do enough for us. They were so open and honest about their lives we gained insights into Cuba we could never have had without them. They were also hilariously funny.
The trip had a few days of longish bus travel but they were broken up with stops and videos to watch so the time passed easily.
We loved all our stops but would have liked to have spent another night in Cienfuegos. The city deserved a closer look.
We would highly recommend the trip.

What a wonderful experience this was for the five of us.
With all our needs stated in emails prior to our trip and quick responses with regard to options and our needs, etc. Locally Sourced took care of making us feel secure and safe.
What made this even more special was our tour guide Daniusky who made certain he took care of making sure we got to do everything listed on our private tour as well as other experiences that made our trip even more special! He is bi-lingual and we loved having him with us to explain and translate and his wealth of knowledge added so much more than we could have asked for!
Thank you also to Javier who drove us safely everywhere with great expertise. Loved the trip and will come back for sure and Daniusky and Javier recommend this company for sure!

The two week tour of Havana and 4 other cities could not have been better. Everything was seamless and exceeded our expectations. Our guide, Yojandro (Joe), was wonderful. He was incredibly attentive and sensitive to everyone’s needs and is so knowledgeable about Cuba and its history. Plus, he is a very funny guy who regularly had the whole bus laughing. The accommodations at the Casas Particulares were terrific. Clean, comfortable and unique homes with very attentive hosts. So much more interesting than staying in a hotel. Our state side representative, Sara, could not have been more helpful and she promptly responded to our questions. We especially enjoyed traveling with our group on the same bus with the same driver as we went about Cuba. You'll enjoy the prearranged tours and events and still have plenty of time to do some exploring on your own.

Locally Sourced Cuba Tours far surpassed our expectations. The accommodations and transportation were first rate. Each group is 15 or less. We are a family of five and there was something for everyone. The waterfall hike and swim on Christmas day was amazing. Daniel A. Was a great guide. I highly recommend the 8 day tour, it covers a lot of ground, but the cities are well worth visiting. We can't wait to return. Support of the Cuban People, Ohio USA.

Locally Sourced Cuba was most helpful in designing our 17 day trip through the Western part of Cuba (Havana, Cienfuegos, Trinidad, Sta Clara, Playa Girón, Viñales). We had a fun and reliable, fantastic guide who was highly educated and knowledgeable and great with our young adult kids (and us!). Very comfortable bus for us four adults and four adult children (aged 18 to 23). Itinerary and excursions were worked out prior but we had plenty of flexibility and free time. Stayed in Casas which was lovely (rather than hotels). Would love to come back and do the Eastern part. Glad though we didn’t rush it and took plenty of time to really get to know each place we visited. Love Cuba!

We travelled for a week with Locally Sourced Cuba in April just as they were opening up after COVID. Sara and Dan worked with us really closely to put together an incredible individually tailored itinerary based on our specific interests through Havana, Trinidad, Bay of Pigs, Santa Clara, and Cienfuegos. A huge highlight of the trip was our guide Carlos who travelled with us across Cuba the whole time. Carlos was really fun and personable. He anticipated all of our needs and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time and saw the many different perspectives of Cuba and the Cuban people. We highly recommend using locally sourced and Carlos again. It was a trip we will never forget!

We took Locally Sourced’s 10-day “Vivacious Cuba” tour in February 2024. Frank, our guide, was an utterly awesome, and went above and beyond what we expected. Frank was knowledgeable, courteous, funny and sweet. He speaks excellent English and has great people skills. We did all the things on the official itinerary, as well as some unexpected side excursions that were absolutely delightful. One of my favorite things was that Frank made the driving times between destinations really fun. Early in our trip he had us make a list of the things we were interested in learning about Cuba. Each of the seven of us in our group listed several items. So, instead of tedious drives, Frank would pick a topic or two and he would teach us about Cuban history and art, rum, beer and cigar making, agriculture, the money system and more. Frank made sure our accommodations were comfortable, and was always concerned for our well-being and safety. Let me provide one example of his “above and beyond” effort. Two different smaller groups wanted to make evening excursions to a performance at a Havana nightclub. Frank helped them buy tickets and ordered a taxi to and from the venue. Frank took great care of our group and I highly, highly recommend Locally Sourced Tours and Frank as your guide!

We recently returned from a fantastic visit to Cuba provided by Locally Sourced Cuba Tours and the the experience was incredible. Our four day private tour exceeded our expectations, and we made memories to last a lifetime. Everything was seamless from the airport pick-up to the variety of local dining and cultural destinations we visited. Our short stay left us with a desire to return. We have been telling all of our friends and family about this travel adventure and they are excited about making a visit to see for themselves. Our tour guide was outstanding and knowledgeable. We visited museums; historical sites; cultural, art and music spots, and even the beach at a relaxed pace. Our small group included a young person and a visitor from Greece both of whom thoroughly enjoyed the trip from start to finish.The accommodations were clean and neat and the staff at Hotal Carprisa provided us with a lovely breakfast each morning of our stay. Shout out to all of those stateside and elsewhere from the Locally Sourced Cuba team who planned with me to make this dream come true.

We visited Havana as a cruise port. We booked direct and organised a private day tour personalised to what we wanted to do. The BEST money I have ever spent on an excursion. Our guide Dayana was an absolute legend, she was so knowledgable, her history information was mind blowing, and she talked her way around the old town as we took in a walking tour. Dayana also gave some insight into local life from her own perspective, only adding to the interesting statues and buildings she pointed out along the way. We went to the rum museum, which was awesome followed by the most amazing rooftop mojito class and salsa lesson with the awesome Ray. We have never laughed so much, followed by a local lunch, a classic car ride and a stop at the Hotel Nationale, all must do parts of Havana. We saw so much, and had such a great time, thank you for the amazing memories

We had a fabulous time exploring some of the sights Cuba has to offer. Habana was exciting, Vinales was beautiful and full of vibrant bars and restaurants. Overall food was good, especially seafood. What a great experience, enhanced by our wonderful guide Carlitos. He was knowledgeable and enthusiastic, was great fun to be out and about with, and communicated his passion for Cuba. We will highly recommend this tour, and Locally Sourced as a Tour that is highly responsive, reasonably priced and making the effort to be sustainable and truly assist the Cuban people.

You can book a Havana tour or a Cuba tour that includes Havana (both include a classic car ride) directly from the Locally Sourced Cuba website. (Do a web search for it.)
But you could also easily arrange a city tour or classic car ride by asking your hotel or B&B (casa particulare) staff to help you after you arrive and check in. Almost any of these accommodations would be happy to arrange any tours for you.

We did not do Tropicana. We eat in Old Havana at a local restaurant that our guide had recommended. I am sure the tour company would be able to arrange a Tropicana tour. They seem very fleixble with options.

yes, locally sourced tours meet all US requirements. They met us right across from the customs and immigration building in the piazza. It was an amazing tour, even though we only did a one-day tour. Lunch was included and was amazing and the afternoon in the classic US cars was fun. Ask locally-sourced tours for pricing for a private tour for the 8 of you. it might be a little more than the $90 per person that we paid, but would be nice. Also, since you are staying overnight, ask locally sourced tours what selections they offer for evening shows--tropicana show or a jazz bar in town. You go back to the ship after the tour for dinner, then go back out for the evening show, then back to the ship after midnight to sleep. Then, make the second day more low-key, sleep-in late, then leave the ship and casually shop for rum, cigars, and souvenirs or take a classic car (cab) to visit places that you saw during the tour and want to visit in more depth (like going to the top of Ambos mundos) or having a frozen daiquiri at La Flordita. Enjoy your holiday! You will love whatever Locally Sourced Tours arranges for you!

Company is called Locally Sourced Havan Tours. We booked online and paid with credit card. I believe the company is based overseas and not in Cuba which is why we were able to pay with credit card.

I am a little nervous about booking outside of Royal Carribean cruise but it seems I'll get a great deal more booking through Locally Sourced Havana Tours. Did you have any difficultly leaving the ship without one of their tours? I've cruised numerous times on Carnival and bought outside tours. But, with the visa thingy in Cuba, I want to be sure.

There was no problem at all. Just complete the RCCL Cuba form and get your visas when you’re boarding the ship.
The only thing is that RCCL will make you pick an option in the form that is not the correct one. But, besides this, no problems.

It is my understanding that it is the same company and they do offer multi day tours. The single day tour we did was excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and our tour guide was knowledgeable, personable, and quite savvy. Highly recommended!

There was absolutely no problem using Locally Sourced Tours, and I highly recommend them. Please don’t let the cruise line intimidate you into purchasing one of their shore excursions, I can’t imagine that any of the excursions they offered would’ve been better than the one I received from Locally Sourced Tours. Just read their glowing reviews on TripAdvisor. We got a much bigger bang for our buck through LST!
