Salsa Express is much more than a salsa school. It is a great team, welcoming and very endearing. It is also a place that offers a lot of services, such as city tours (Havana or outside) and personalized visits with local and experienced tour guides. Laysiu, the Sales Manager, is a wonderful, competent, kind and so warm person. She knew how to meet my needs and interests: daily Cuban salsa camp, a few evenings of dancing in typical places with instructors and live bands, and a few personalized guided tours. The salsa lessons are all personalized and are adapted according to our level. Whether you are beginners or advanced, the instructors can make you progress really quickly! The instructors are competent, dedicated to their love of dance and to their teaching, and professional. They have great teaching methods and we have a lot of fun during the lessons! Laughter and fun guaranteed! I was fortunate to have two amazing instructors: Manuel, the first day and Yosue, my main instructor, for all the other days and for the evenings. The salsa school is well located and easily accessible. The evenings with the instructors and other students are great. They make it possible to put into practice the skills learned during the day. The places chosen and suggested by Laysiu are recognized, typical, with known live bands, etc. Laysiu can even organize transportation in advance to go to the dancing parties and to come back. I recommend it. The drivers are really nice and professional!

If you are looking for a "All -Inclusive" type of Cuban Salsa program, well look no further.....SALSA EXPRESS is what you should book!! My friend and I decided to go to Havana, Cuba for X-mas but we didn't know where we should go or what salsa school we should attend until I read on trip advisor about "Salsa Express". I travel every year and visit many countries and I LOVE to salsa especially Cuban Style. So I quickly wrote Salsa Express manager, Damian Abreu to inquire about his company services. I explained to him that my friend and I our salsa dancers wanting to learn more Cuban styles and body movements. Damian assured me that he could make this happen with his staff. I also alerted him that we would also like to participate in a world wind, high tempo Cuban experience with city tours, ole style taxis service, cigar tours, ron tours, souvenir shopping, night life dancing with locals and live music. We were also interested in possible visiting beaches and biking riding tours. Again, the owner Mr. Damian aka "Da Boss" said he will put a itinerary together for me to review. Once I received my itinerary I alerted him when we were coming. Damian pick us up form the airport personally and drove us to our "casa de particular" which he arrange for us. Our place to stay was literally two blocks away from Salsa Express studio..now how convenient is that! However, since we also had booked an Air-Bnb before we ran across Salsa Express information we keep both places to stay (1 in Old Havana , it's cracking down there and 2nd place in Havana next to the school). I know that sounds complicated but it worked out fine for us because we are very active women who knows how to maneuver in systems. In addition, Salsa Express staff, Manuel helped us get local taxi's (aka Colectivos) which only cost us a $1CUC each to go to Old Havana. So I know you are asking so how did our daily agenda look like... here it is: Saturday- We arrive ( review of our itinerary, Damian got us wifi cards $2CUC for 1 hour and exchange Euro's or American dollars to CUC. Damien was very nice to do this for us) Sunday, Monday, Wednes, Thurs & Sat -2hr classes (10am-12pm) with Mr. Ariel & Mr. Manuel (two very professional teachers who cares about enhancing their students learning abilities in cubam style dancing) Every other day around 2pm or 3pm some type of tour (city tour, ron tour & souvenir tour) 2 days of Free time (All day tour to VINALES for cigar tour, this is a must go..great tour) 4 nights of 2hrs of dancing with your assigned teachers at the hottest clubs (fyi-you have to pay for teacher's entry fee. This is a job for them so they are working and still teaching you styling in the cub. It will also help you become more confident with dancing with locals or other salsa dancers). Overall, X-mas in Cuba was by far my best trip of the year, mind you earlier this year I went to Brazil (Carnival 2019), Peru (Lima & Cuzco) & Columbia, (Bogota). So stop procrastinating and contact Salsa Express manager, Damian Abreu for your personalized "all inclusive" Cuban experience. In conclusion, make sure you book with teachers, Manuel (the owner's brother) and Ariel. They work well together and will help you accomplish what you came to learn CUBANO STYLE SALSA..AYE!!!!!

This was my first trip to Cuba and Damian and his crew made it a good one. In addition to their impeccable hospitality, they helped us navigate, not only the geography and systems of Havana, but the culture as well. I felt safe and protected in their care. In addition, they have incrediblly good salsa teachers who adjusted for our levels. Manuel was patient, has an excellent eye for details, and a gift for making the complex simple. Manuel and Ariel went out with us at night and we had a blast. There are many people in Cuba who can dance out of this world and who teach. But i doubt that there are many that can match the level of skill, professionalism, and pure fun that the instructors at Salsa Express provide. I also highly recommend Damian and his company if you are looking for a Vinales trip.

The salsa classes were the most extraordinary experience of our trip to Cuba. The classes were incredibly fun and dynamic. Despite my no existing experience dancing salsa, my improvement shocked me after the first few classes. The teacher’s patience and sympathy made the process so enjoyable that I could not wait for the next day’s lesson. It is a beautiful experience for couples, and it will open a window to spend quality time together in the future. After completing the course, we have been able to go to multiple salsa clubs in our home country.
