Great 2 hr guided tour of cigar factory. Very interesting and guide was funny. Brought a few cohiba from our guide who tried to add a bit of mystery by saying they were not officially on sale. We brought two which we think we're made by the trainee staff. Better to buy from proper tobacconist if you are serious.

We very much enjoyed our tour as part of our trip to Cuba. Our guide, Mario Otero Acosta, excels at making his guests feel so warm and welcome. His selection of sites for us to visit was absolutely outstanding. He is certainly worth checking his website and connecting with him for an awesome Cuba experience.

We began in the factory store which was stocked with all different kinds of cigars and types of rum. Then we went into the factory for our tour which was interesting even though we aren't cigar smokers. We learned how cigars go through several steps to ensure quality from separating the leaves to rolling to fitting to trimming. All the... More

Be sure and get tickets in advance since there are big crowds. Tours leave based on language so you might have to wait a little while. They do a good job walking you through the production of cigars. The employees are eager to sell their weekly cigar allotments. You can even purchase empty boxes.

This is your chance to see firsthand a sweat shop operating. The cigar process is quite interesting from preparing the leaves to rolling the cigars. You will have a guide who will explain the different strengths and sizes. At least the workers get to take a few home a week to keep or sell as they wish. At the end... More

this place iis quaint pricey for the cigars but the rum the no.7 rum is hands down the best thing. Our tour guide amel brought us here after suggesting that we wanted to bring some cigars home as souvenirs. And yes its legal now. There wasnt a tour of how theyre made or anything just a "corner store" of sorts.... More

If you are a cigar buff you must visit this factory. Lots of explanations about cigar making growing and cultivation of tobacco. The skill of the workers is amazing and the rolling process is very precise. No pictures are allowed inside.

This multi-story cigar factory employs over 600 people, most in hand-rolling cigars of various sizes. For most of our group the tour involved many stairs, but we that asked got taken up and down in the freight elevator. Narration provided was very good.

An inside look at the Cuban economy at its best. They control Cigar production. Workers work at their own pace and get paid for their production. They view it as the perfect product...they have a monopoly and it is addictive. Fascinating tour even if Cigars are not your thing.
