If you can, find a guide to explain all the artifacts in the museum - an absolutely fascinating collection of Afrocuban cultural items with a focus on spiritual beliefs and practices.

I’m not too sure I’d make the effort to come here unless you read Spanish. It’s very amateurish but the people who work there seem very proud of it. The surrounding area is quite nice to stroll around. Very different to Central Havana.

Nice small museum presenting joruba religion and its orishas, the West African culture of the slaves that has influenced so much Cuban music and culture. Better than a similar Afro-Brazilian museum in Salvador Bahia that shares much of the same cultural heritage

The musical show at the end of the end of the tour was excellent. Unfortunately, they did not had an English speaking tour guide.
