I wasn't expecting quite the level of art that we found here. There are some really important works by important Cuban artists that can be found nowhere else in the world. If you are a fan of musems, this one is a must see.

Lots to see and a great place to view some abstract art. We enjoyed both buildings full of art which are included in the 8$ to get in - it can be difficult to find the other building but worth going to see

Well maintained, Very nice and well organized. Enjoyed strolling through the various artwork and displays. Truly tells the complicated story of Cuba and its' people. Definitely worth a visit, regardless of whether you're into art or not.

Great museum in the heart of Old Havana. Mind blowing works from Cuban and Latin artists. Paintings and sculptures are beautiful.

The Cuban half of the Fine Arts Museum has a wonderful collection - we spent two hours this time and needed more. Wilfredo Lam’s work is amazing, and there are many other artists to discover. The international side is also well worth a visit but...More

Go not just to admire the art but to understand more and more about the complicated history of Cuba. It is very well done (having a knowledgeable guide really adds to the experience).

We had a tour led by a docent as part of our tour program. I thought the art that we saw, which was all contemporary was both beautiful and interesting. It was more meaningful to hear the explanations of the symbolism and artists’ backgrounds. Since...More

Great value, plenty to see, well exhibited. The only thing lacking was more postcards of the artworks to purchase. Well worth a visit if you enjoy art.

Question re: museums (2 Replies)
Are Palacio de Bellas Artes and the National Museum of Fine Arts one and the same? It sounds like the former comprises two buildings, and perhaps the latter is one of them? If that's correct, which one is recommended if we want to see mainly Cuban art? Thanks in advance!

I think you're looking for "Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes – Edificio de Arte Cubano" the entrance is across the street from Museo de la Revolucion for the cuban one You can buy entrance to both fine art museums on one ticket if you want, or you can go to just one
