The galleries are well curated and the artworks are really well lit and displayed. Lovely gallery to wander round for a few hours (good coffee in the coffee shop) to escape the city's hustle and bustle.

Wasn't sure what to expect but the contemporary and modern Cuban art was really interesting, fun and top notch. Enjoyed watching all the school children engaging with the first floor installations. Really worth a visit.

Absolutely loved the artwork here. Visited three times over the course of the two weeks I was in Havana. Beautiful space and fantastic work.

The museum was better than expected, particularly the modern and contemporary Cuban art. Really enjoyed it.

Some pieces very good and interesting, particularly on ground floor but first floor of art gallery was really all quite strange. Sure all good "modern art" but not anything I would wish to hang on my wall

Absolutely brilliant collection of modern art, with many gems among a few con tricks. Allow at least a morning or afternoon. It's closed Mondays and only open until two on Sunday. Shop is disappointing though, with few cards of the works we most admired. There is a sister building of different works with a reduced price for combined entry but... More

Cuba is often referred to or spoken about based on its historical and its '60s' flavours. A visit at the National Museum of Fine Arts reveals the abundance of modern creativity and styles that complete the picturesque descriptions of Cuba as well as bringing up its contemporaneous liveness. We thoroughly enjoyed our visits... which is somehow extended by the prolific... More

Three stories of beautiful sculptures and paintings. After enjoying the museum I toured various galleries and saw art by some of the same artists featured. A truly wonderful experience.

Somewhat to our surprise, this was one of the highlights of our visit to Havana and Cuba. The collection is extensive and starting from the top and working down one encounters the history of art in Cuba from the 16th century onwards. There is much of real quality and it is always interesting to see European movements interpreted from elsewhere,... More
