Buy the two pack so you can go to Palacio Belle Artes Museum too. Both are great have some good pieces of art. You will not be disappointed and does make for a good rainy day activity!

While small and sparse, this museum was interesting to see. It was a nice place to cool off from the heat and see some art works that we hadn't seen before. Sadly though, there are no photos allowed so that was disappointing. You have to...More

We visited The National Museum of Fine Arts as a school tour group with 23 High School Sophomores and Juniors from outside of Boston. This museum had art from the colonial times all the way up to the modern era. An artist I liked, in...More

Really wide ranging exhibition of Cuban art, mostly 20th century, both pre and post revolution. I particularly liked the 1930s section. The museum is closed on Monday.

I understand that Cuba is a little starved of worldwide culture due to its political situation but even so I think it could do a better job , especially for the price of admission !

Our tour group spent a couple of hours here. Our guide explained the time lines that defined modern art. Bright well lit, not a lot of air conditioning.

Extensive collections of works rarely seen outside of Cuba. A Must see while in Havana. The gift shop sells wonderful signed prints.

A first rate museum, with an outstanding collection. Don't miss it if you get to Havana. The history of Cuban art is nicely depicted by the excellent collection of paintings, in an albeit somewhat confusing layout.

The Cuban collection is amazing. You won't want to miss this if you're visiting Havana. Make sure you set aside plenty of time for your visit. I believe there is actually a separate building for the international collection. If you only have time to see...More

Do this and other museums have English signs and explanations? How to take a MetroBus to museums (the cost, and process). Many thanks.

Do you need to book a guided tour (in English) in advance or is a guided tour easily available on a Saturday? How do you book a guided tour with the museum in advance?

While I'm in Cuba, I am working on several projects: a documentary on art and music, entries for my travel blog, "DestinationInvestigations," and art photography. To whom can I speak to get permission to shoot video and/or photos at the museum for these projects?
