First experience in Havana as we left the Cruise ship. Music playing, people dancing. Lots of restaurants and outside cafes. Elegant historical church and fabulous architecture. Colorful people. Great way to start your Havana vacation.

The best way to appreciated this square is to sit in one of the local cafes and enjoy a drink or a meal and watch the world go by.

This square has some nice buildings around it, including the church. It's near the ferry point, so a bit further out than some of the other squares, and less busy.

This is a busy place because you have so much here. A money exchange many cruise ship tourists use, a popular location to grab a taxi, near the cruise ship so many people coming and going, the beautiful church and many local restaurants!

The old church has concerts many weekends. There was a piano competition here on our first visit, which we enjoyed tremendously.

This was right across from the cruise dock area -- lovely square with lots of interesting historical stories about it! Post office is right there as well.

This was the first of 3 plazas built in the 16th century and it takes its name from the Franciscan convent built here. It's lovely during the day and beautifully lighted at night. Attractive, large lion fountain nearby. And the Cafe del Oriente is a great restaurant (with outdoor seating as well as indoor) for pleasant days and evenings.

The one thing that I noticed people forgetting to do in this square it to go and see the wonder and make a wish. You have to put one foot on his and than you have to hold his hand and beard all at the same time, than you make a wish.
