I took this incredible vintage photo at central park. This man called mr.Pépe is taking pictures with that camera device from 1900!!! He said it goes from father to son.
It costs only 3$ and it’s worth it than any other common photo and I would definitely recommend it.
God bless you sir. Thank you for your kindness and your services. My photo is very precious!!

We enjoyed a fantastic party put on by the government for the people of Havana. There was a free concert which ingulfed the park and nearby streets with salsa dancing for hours. If your in Havana over Christmas and New years you need to make sure you come to this party.

well, well this is my third visit to havana city and I am happy to say that I have had a wonderful time in this beautifull place and most of this great experience is due to havanatours.nl travel agency who provided us with an excellent service during our stay there; humble, smiling and profesional staff always happy to scort us on our trips through the city either on a bike, on foot or in amazing road trips in the most efficient and fancy american old fashion cars I have ever seen, visiting places with a lot of history and dipping into the real Cuban culture all over the city. I just have to say thanks a lot for the amazing time you gave us and that I hope once I come back you will be there still to show us more from this beautiful country.

Our tour guide Mira announced that she was going to take us to her favorite place in Havana. It was getting dark walking from Revolution square to Central Park. I was very impressed with the beauty and architecture of the Gran Teatro de La Habana theater, home of the Cuban National ballet, El Capitolio, the National Capitol Building and the marble statue of Jose Marti. From the Central Square one has a good advantage of the surrounding areas. I agreed with Mira that her favorite place was more reason to visit Havana again.

We loved Central Park. It's a nice place to sit and chill during heavy tourism days... which is every day in Havana lol. Lovely gardens and beautiful views of the central buildings. Nit to mention old cars bumper to bumper and taking up every car space on all sides. Locals meet to discuss local sports and players games and have debates... I loved it.

The Central Park (Parque Central) is kind of the heart of Old Havana. And you can see all of the icons of Cuban tourism here first. The gardens are delightful. The architecture of the older buildings around the park are wonderful to see, and in great shape. There are fleets of cabs around, old style North American cars, horse drawn and people drawn carts. Guides on foot. It seems like everything starts here. Now, maybe I had a biased opinion, as we stayed across the street the Hotel Parque Centrale, but seriously, and tour you have of the city could start here.

Having just got back from Havana I thought I would share my review of the city and hotel. After landing early it then turned into a nightmare unfortunately there just happened to be 2 international planes landed at the same time going through border control was a breeze, just over 2 hours we waited for our cases then you have to fill in a form what relevance it had to a tourist is beyond me and all the other people around us we didnt fill in most of it as it was requesting personal information about how much money we were taking in. When we finally got through the airport we found that our transfer had left without us, so after another half hour we were put in a taxi and sent on our way. We got to the iberostar central park hotel within 25 minutes this hotel locally is known as park central. At the reception desk it was quite gloomy no smiles no welcome just given a pen and asked to fill in the registration form once completed we were given our swipe key and that was it breakfast times or nothing else was explained to us. We had to ask the reception. We found the lift and found our room it was on the 6th floor with a balcony in the old part of the hotel nice size the only complaint was the windowpanes needed replacing no other complaints really. The hotel was lovely you need to be aware that this hotel is very expensive compared to the other hotels example cup of coffee in this hotel is 2.75 cuc in the Saratoga hotel its 2 cuc and most other hotels its around 1.50 cuc or pesos known once spending money in Havana. The hotel is very centrally located and can be in the old town within 10 minutes. The contrast between the streets is quite amazing and quite sad at times but all the people you meet seem to be happy. Take some sweets for the children you meet you will be loved forever. Also if you can take some pencils for the schools, along with tampons for the women as you cannot get them easily in Havana if they can they are very very expensive. On our next day we did the city tour to get our bearings, we also did the hop on and off bus well worth it. We did a few trips like the Tropicana show very over priced Dont have the meal its disgusting, we paid 200 pesos all in but wished we had the cheaper seats, the show is worth watching. Vinjales is worth a visit but a very long day it would have been nice to spend a couple of days there. I would say I'm not a fussy eater but am worried of getting stomach upsets through dodgy food, so we ate alot in san frisco square or in the hotels on average we spent £60 -£80 on our evening meal thats for 2 courses and drinks. At the end of our night we always ended back at Central Park for a Daiquiri which are devine, we thought that all the waitresses were very friendly and thought that Maria and Yunaysy where a credit to the hotel. All the maids are very hard working and keep the hotel in ship shape. The manager of this hotel needs to learn how to be customer friendly.

this park is the most central park to all havana. many shops and restaurant are there.
the hotel we were staying was there and every day we were walking around the park.
there are many taxis, antique cars and horses to take a ride to the town,
there are also benches and many exotic trees and when you are there, you have the impression that you're in the jungle.
capitolio which is opposite to the park and it's worth visiting too.
i think its one of the most beautiful attraction in havana.

This review is of the actual park itself. Somehow the only other review seems to relate to the Hotel. This is a great place from which to start exploring Central and Old Havana. It is an absolutely beautiful park surrounded by several historical buildings including the Old Theatre and just steps away, the Capitol Building. Just a couple of blocks east is Old Havana. Bario China ( perhaps the most un-Chinese China Town in the world is just a couple of blocks southwest. If you have no knowledge of Spanish whatsoever and want a good starting point from whereever you happen to be in the city- flag down a taxi- say the words Parque Central and you will be off on your journey to explore one of the greatest cties in the Americas
