well, well this is my third visit to havana city and I am happy to say that I have had a wonderful time in this beautifull place and most of this great experience is due to havanatours.nl travel agency who provided us with an excellent service during our stay there; humble, smiling and profesional staff always happy to scort us on our trips through the city either on a bike, on foot or in amazing road trips in the most efficient and fancy american old fashion cars I have ever seen, visiting places with a lot of history and dipping into the real Cuban culture all over the city. I just have to say thanks a lot for the amazing time you gave us and that I hope once I come back you will be there still to show us more from this beautiful country.

This is an interesting location, although the park itself could be considered just average, it is smack in the middle of many interesting locations. For example, it has the mayor’s house on one side with a wood block street with an interesting backstory. There is also the naval museum on another side, and the pantheon, which is one of the first churches in Havana. Lots of activities such as minstrels also. From here, you can access the Malecon as well as other notable landmarks nearby. It is a must go to location When visiting Havana.

Loved this plaza? Always full of people, lots of food and street snack vendors. Buskers. Beautiful park with plenty of seats to take a green break.. parque cespedez. And of course the magnificent and important buildings around it. Built in the 1920s...
The governors house museum is definitely worth a tour.

This is where Havana was founded and governed by the Spanish. It is the main Arms Square like in many Spanish colonial cities in Latin America. The Captain General’s residence is here, now as the beautiful city museum. The fortress is at the side. There is a nice park with trees in the middle. There are street sellers selling books, posters and antiques. The beautiful Santa Isabel Hotel is also located here.
Not to be missed.

Originally founded in 1519. In colonial times, the square was the site of military parades, musical concerts and formal evening promenades. It is surrounded by buildings spanning four centuries.
In the center of the square is Parque Cespedes, a shady area with royal palms.

Plaza de Armas is one of the four famous plazas in Havana, and the area has a lot to offer. There are tons of vendors selling books and other items in the square. There is a large fort at the entrance that is very cool and many car companies selling rides in their convertibles. The square is packed with tourists.

A great place to start the Havana sightseeing is Old Havana (La Habana Vieja) and Plaza de Armas Square. We were thrilled with the beautiful historic square, the park and the lovely buildings surrounding the square. This place is where Havana was founded and at every turn to feel the spirit of old Havana. Lovely place to spend an afternoon, lots of locals meet here so always a place full of nice atmosphere, and friendly faces. On this beautiful square is dominate the Museo de la Ciudad (City Museum), which occupies the beautiful Palacio de los Capitanes Generales (Palace of the Captain's Palace), it is the former Presidential Palace. A great observation of the culture and history.

Plaza de Armas is a beautiful area with cute cafes and great for people watching. Before you go to Cuba, you should download the app called "cuba." You can search "cuba" in the app store and its one of the first ones that comes up (lime green color), its made by Triposo. It was a LIFE SAVER!!!! It had an offline map that (even without internet) would track us. Without speaking much spanish, we would have been lost without it. It also has many other features such as listing of top attractions and some restaurants (there are many restaurants that are not on the map), but it gives you an idea. Seriously... you will thank me later! :)

well worth the stroll through the old town to get here one of the nicest squares in Havana, too many people asking for money if they see you with a camera, apart from that nice place to visit
