A beautiful church on a beautiful plaza and the perfect spot for people watching. The jineteros and beggars spoils it a bit. I don't mind helping someone out, and I do it all the time, but it's just constant! When the dancers come around, they...More

This large square exemplifies Old Havana history; 1777 Cathedral, 18th C Casa Lombillo, 1587 Casa de Banos, 1775 Casa Aquas Claras, and the important 1754 Museo de Arte Colonial. We spent an hour here.

We sought shelter from a light rain that lasted only a few minutes just as we arrived in the plaza. The cathedral architecture was quite functional with it's small, highly placed windows to protect the people from tropical storms.

A beautiful construction surrounded by many pleasant and inviting little restaurants or simply drinking a coffee or beer or the famous mojitos.

Cathedral looked lovely from the outside. Lots of restaurants nearby. Very pleasant to stroll around at night.

Situated in a huge colonnial square, one of the oldest cathedrals in the Western hemisphere doesnt disappoint. But believe me when I tell you that what you see outside is just a tease to the beauty inside.

Plaza de la Catedral is a Grand Square. The Cathedral is magnificent inside and out. We even took the stairs and went all the way to the top, to the Bell tower (it cost $1CUC p.p.). The other structures were impressive old mansions surrounding the...More
