Organised this night out via our Tour Operator but was quite disappointed. It cost around £85 per person to watch a 2hour show. We were told that quarter bottle of rum, mixers and snacks were included in this price. However, the waitress wouldn't bring any mixers and wanted to charge us another £10 for a bottle of lemonade (no coke available.) Snacks were 2 rice cakes with fish paste on top! She also double charged us for 2 bottles of water, so be aware o this sort of thing!
Dancers were good, but bit repetitive and not the real Cuban experience it's advertised as. I'd recommend Bueno Vista social club instead, as that's far better 😁

We booked a tour via our cruise ship. We arrived for the show about 9 pm and shown to our bench style tables. There were glasses of a sparkling wine plus a bottle of rum and some cans of coke wee placed on the table, per groups of four.
The show was mesmerising, professional and very glitzy. It was fast and furious and well worth a visit.
I did get a coughing fit and asked for a bottle of water / which was $5! .
The show finished just after midnight and we got our coaches back to the cruise ship - some people worse for wear.

We had a night to ourselves and booked tickets to the Tropicana show for fun. We didn’t do the dinner, but the regular $80 ticket got us each cokes, champagne, peanuts and a bottle of Havana Club for the night - in addition to the 2 hour show (making it well worth the cost). The show was a lot of fun, it is fast paced, has great music, can kept us entertained the entire time. At the end, they even pulled members of the audience on stage to dance, and taught them some moves.

My only recommendation would be to buy tickets in advance, we were told they sell out often. Also, the theatre is outside and so I’m not sure how they handle the rain.

Our host booked us for the show at the Tropicana for the evening we arrived, and we are so glad she did. We started with drinks in the restaurant prior to the show and then made our way in to the expansive open-air theatre. It's a very dramatic setting and once the show started was a total feast for the eyes.

The company consisted of a many dancers, some featured vocal soloists and a large orchestra with as many as 4 conductors throughout the evening. There were constant costume changes and all of them were dazzling. My friends and I are all involved in the performing arts in NYC and were very impressed by a majority of the company and one of the female vocalists was absolutely incredible!!!

Throughout the show, drinks included in the price of the tickets were served and refreshed. Staff at the entrance tried to get patrons to pay 5 cuc to use their cameras inside the theatre, but it was not enforced.

Definitely plan an evening of your visit to Havana at the Tropicana!

Kitsch touristy fun. Stereo type Cuban affair but very professionally done with extra acrobatics. The open air location, scale of the place is great. At the end they keep the party atmosphere going inviting people onto the stage. If you want cabaret, this shouldn't be missed. We paid extra for front row seats but actually you probably appreciate the whole show better from a few rows back

Should be a one time event for the first time traveler to Cuba It is a high energy dance show with fantastic costumes
The bottle of rum they provide with meal helps out the show immensely.
We opted for second section seating with a snack for the best show, but on arrival they placed us in first row. First row is to low to see all the dancers on stage. Snack was peanuts in a small bowl, I wouldn't consider this a snack

I doubt this show has changed much since it started in 1959. Yes it's a bit cheesy and expensive but it's also good fun. The costumes and huge headwear are very colorful and glamorous and reminiscent of the 50s and 60s and the outdoor staging really makes it.

The show lasts for around 1 hour 45 mins and is mainly singing and dancing interspersed with a couple of other acts. The night we were there there were acrobats, a small very good operatic group and some older guys singing something I presume was humorous but we didn't get as it was in Spanish.

I would suggest not getting there too much before the 10pm start time as you will not be served your welcome class of prosecco or given your half bottle of rum and two cans of coke (per couple) until the show starts but you will slightly pressured into buying other drinks as soon as you're seated. A Cuba Libre as an example costs 7 CUC.

We bought the middle seating tickets at 85 CUC so we're in the second tables from the stage. 95 CUC buys you a seat at the tables right in front of the stage and 75 CUC on the third and fourth row tables. You can see reasonably well at all of them although you'll get better photos if you're closer. It is assigned seating though so there is no guarantee you'll be in the middle whichever seat price you choose.

You also need to factor in a cost of the taxi which should cost 40 CUC return even though its only a 10/15 min ride.

Although it was a pricey night out we figured we'd be unlikely to have the opportunity to visit again and we are glad we went. Its so unique and glamorous. The setting and lighting when you arrives makes you feel as if you're stepping into a movie.

We did consider the cheaper and more accessible Parisien show at the Hotel Nacional but having seen the venue I don't think it could match the Tropicana.

We were in a tour group of 26 and we had to pay 90 CUCS each that is about £90 in our money. We had a cheap bottle of 3 year old rum between 4 of us on a table and the show was two hours of dancing around in different coloured dresses and outfits. After about 50 minutes we were all bored to death with it. There was one special act two guys balancing on each other and that was at the very end. we all thought we had been ripped off. The right price was about 25 CUCs, and it should have been on for an hour. Thank god we will never go again. They make a lot of profit from this show. But Cuba itself was very interesting

We went to Tropicana with a degree of scepticism as we had found another night’s entertainment just a bit too touristy. We were soon proved wrong, however, as we were bombarded with such a wealth of excellent dance and voice, all delivered with the most professional presentation but still with underlying love of dance, voice and rhythm that characterises the Cuban people.
Dont miss this marvellous, extravagant show which is definitely worth buying the very best tickets to enjoy. There seems to be only $10 difference between the various positions and we found that $85 bought seats far to the side where the full effect of the constant pagent would have been somewhat lessened....$85 is still a significant price for a ticket, so having taken the plunge to pay that kind of money, another $10 or $20 will certainly pay dividends for one’s viewing experience.

The show is perfect, lovely and beautiful! Hard working and a lot of joy from tha dancers and they make everything magical!
The service damage all the beauty of tha club . . . The people who serve there they should pay respect for the dancers and try to be nice with the clients. . . They don t bring all we had paid in tha packet they make like they don t have time to bring and quickly bring the bill made us pay like we were going somewhere. . . In the middle of the show. . . And after they don't even look if you want something. . . The food is good we recommend. . . A club with so much history became something so touristic and lost his magic. . . I hope one day will change because the dancers and all program is perfect . . . Bravo for them 😍
