We rented 2 bikes for a 5-day independent, unguided tour of Cuba of approximately 200 km. The advice and support from Ciclo Cuba before our arrival was very useful and complete. The bikes themselves were premium "Specialty" models, perfect for road trips. We didn't have any mechanical problems with the bikes and the rental price was very reasonable. All in all, exceptional service and Abel and his team are wonderful people who understand cycle touring and are always available to help. Highly recommended!

We rented 3 bicycles from Ciclocuba for a12 day tour of western Cuba. Our experience with this company was wonderful. The communication before our arrival was excellent. We had a flight cancelled and Abel was very flexible with our changes in schedule. The bicycles we rented were Specialized Sirrus, and were in excellent condition and were tuned perfectly. I am an avid cyclist, and I have toured thousands of miles through multiple countries. So, I want to be clear. Ciclocuba does not rent cheap rental bicycles. They have a solid bike mechanic and who ensures the company rents excellent bicycles that can handle long trips in Cuba. The customer service was top notch. If you are planning on renting a bicycle in Cuba, I would highly recommend using Ciclocuba.

This past February, my husband and I rented bicycles from CicloCuba and biked from Havana to Viñales with a side trip to Cayo Jutias. It was an absolutely amazing trip and one of the highlights of our stay in Cuba (the other one being the hike La Ruta de la Revolución in the east of Cuba). The service and bikes we received from CicloCuba were outstanding. Abel, the owner, was super patient and knowledgeable when we asked him (very:)) many questions prior to our trip. We always received a prompt and detailed reply which made us feel comfortable with the company we had chosen. Once in Havana, we picked up the bicycles and were impressed with the quality of the bikes. They are super comfortable - Abel even inserted an extension in the front so that we would sit more straight-up and exchanged the standard saddle for a softer one-, with very strong tires (we were one of the very few cyclists who did not suffer from flat tires). We also rented bicycle locks and saddlebags, and Abel provided us with a repair kit as well. So again, excellent bikes and service!
The bike ride itself is spectacular, the roads are sometimes not the best but totally doable. Apart from a small part along the highway, there's hardly any traffic and biking the route was a true joy. We took the 'mountain option' and highly recommend this route. We are not experienced bikers so walked many of the ups but since the surroundings are beautiful, it's not an issue at all. Both CicloCuba and this bike ride highly recommended!

I had 3 weeks cycling around Cuba and Abel was really helpful with trip suggestions and information and planning. The bike was brilliant and had excellent tyres so no punctures! Abel changed over the seat for me on my way through Havana to Vinales and was always responsive to my texts. I highly recommend this cycling company for their support and their road bikes. Thanks again Abel!

We recently returned from a 9 day bike trip in Cuba (March 2023) for which we rented bikes from CicloCuba. It was a great experience. The bikes were in excellent condition and communication with Abel was easy. He and Enrique (one of the guides) were extremely helpful and offered great advice and contacts around the island as we planned out trip. Overall, it was a great experience and I would highly recommend Ciclocuba to anyone interested in biking in Cuba.

Our experience with CicloCuba was amazing. We were able to plan in advance as Abel (the owner) wes reachable by e-mail even before we got to Cuba. He was very reactive and flexible as we changed our rent details between what was decided beforehand and when we got the bikes. All the equipment were provided to have a safe trip and were in good shape and quality. He even supported us by helping us define different itineraries during our stay. He was very patient and even made himself available to help us during one of our escapade, when we were not sure about which route to take. Definitely would recommand.

Spent roughly 10 days cycle touring west of Havana with bikes rented from CicloCuba. Great on-line communication and booking before trip. Excelllent selection of bikes and we rented Specialized Sirrus. Abel very helpful before trip and setting us up upon arrival as well the return. I highly recommend CicloCuba and would certainly use them again. We as well were the envy of other cyclists that had rented lesser standard bikes for a similar price. No flats as good tires and only issue we had was one broken chain which we were prepared for so a quick fix. Even though a minor inconvenience to us Abel was concerned about that issue. They are also able to help you with trip planning and accommodation if you wish.

We travelled for 8 days around Western Cuba and rented two bikes from Abel at CicloCuba. We couldn't be happier with our choice to rent. We himmed and hawed about whether to rent bikes or bring our own and we're so glad we rented. It elevated so much headaches and it was almost the se price as flying with them. The bikes were very well maintained and really good, solid touring bikes. They both came with panier racks and two water bottle holders and good helmets (so we didn't need to schlup our own). Abel also sent us off with spare parts just in case.
Abel helped us out so very much. He ensured we were all set for our trip giving us all kinds of advise about which roads to avoid and what places to see. Overall, he went above and beyond for us. He gave us great advise on what Casa Particulars to stay at and was available during our trip for all questions via WhatsApp. When you're traveling through a country you don't know or cannot speak the language, having someone who genuinely has your back was priceless.
On one of the days, our bike had an issue (which is totally normal when your bike touring) and we didn't have the required tool on us to fix it. Instead of sending us to find someone in the middle of nowhere to fix it, Abel drove out 2 hours to fix the issue without it impacting our trip at all!
Overall, I cannot say enough good things. We've traveled all over the world bike touring and never have we had customer service like this or bikes in this good of condition. Top notch. Highly, highly recommended.

Rented a bike for a few days from Abel and CicloCuba to do daily rides around Havana. Prompt responses during reservation process and very flexible on changing my return time. Note that the shop is only open on-demand so don’t expect to walk up. Rather , connect with them via WhatsApp for instant communication.

... and the third time I got a bike from Abel and his mechanic: never change a winning team! The bike was in mint condition which allowed me to enjoy 10-day-trip without any problems. I was also thankful for Abel's helpful tips: thanks to his comments or advice I discovered "la Boca", a much nicer and authentic place than Trinidad indeed.
