worth the trip to reflect on the history

we drove along the coast line here stopping for a swim now and then and its a beautiful part of the world. Unfortunately the 'museum' at Playa Giron is only in Spanish.

Casa Nina is a beautiful house in Playa Larga, Bay of Pigs. My friend and me got a very warm welcome when we arrived and enjoyed a wonderful hospitality by the lord, a very kind and lovely lady, during our stay. The breakfast and dinner were absolutely delicious and served with great hospitality. We felt so much at home and... More

This was an opportunity to dive on the opposite side of the Island to where I was staying. Compared to Varadero there was more abundant, larger and more colour on the Caribbean side of the island so was delighted to have made the trip. There was a lovely restaurant in the area and the dive centre there supplied Tanks and... More

We often explore this beautiful area with our travelers, a great stop for a couple of days. Check out the great little homes on the bay of pigs in Playa Larga, OMG it is one of the most peaceful places I have been to. While there everything is within walking distance, plenty of wonderful Paladares for homemade meals. One stop... More

He's a a legend. We went scuba diving and had a great time. Really good flora and fauna too. World's smallest owl lives here.

We were in a group of eight people. 4 had never done scuba. Got a quick course for those 4 and went on a 45 minute shallow dive. Entry and exit to/from Bay is a bit difficult so if you have some beach slippers/moccasins then bring them they will certainly help. The dive we did was definitely not exciting if... More

We very much wanted to see The Bay of Pigs because of it's historical significance. However where the tour guide stopped there is no reference to any of the historical factors. There was just a small area where you could rent equipment to snorkel. There are washrooms and a place to eat and drink so I think many tour companies... More

We booked a private Taxi, where we went to the bay of pigs and the cave of fish, the water was so blue and so clear it was amazing and the scuba diving experience was great! Saw lots of fishes and corals. This is the place where I got my new FB profile picture. Defiantly worth a visit, very difference... More

Passed through the historic Bay of Pigs when travelling from Cienfuegos to Vinales. Stopped at the waters edge, our tour guide started to feed the fish and shoals of tropical fish came to the surface in the crystal clear water.

We went with family - some diving some "beach" visiting. Found the beach very pretty but not kid friendly - rocky and not "wadeable" you are in waist deep or deeper, or you are out. Rocky shore is not easily navigated by little people. Road was quite close by and we had to keep a hawk eye on our 2... More
