We went on the Bonaire North and South Island tour. Generally, we don't take tours of islands we visit, but I'm so glad we did. We saw so many sites we would have never seen and certainly would not have known all the history of each site. We were in an air conditioned bus with a total of 18 guests. We were the only two English speaking guests (the rest spoke Dutch). Our tour guide was Lucy. She gave all the information in Dutch but then would tell us everything she just said in English. She did an awesome job of keeping everyone engaged. Our driver was also excellent. We loved Jibe Beach, the salt flats, the area around the national park, 1000 steps diving area, and many other areas. Our favorite was visiting the village of Rincon, having a regional snack, and seeing the museum where we could see how those on the island lived. Our tour guide for the museum was the best. She had a great sense of humor and made that stop extra special. I highly recommend this 5-hour excursion. (Actually turned into 6 hours which was great because we never felt rushed) Kudos to Lucy for making the trip so informative and fun!

We booked an Island Tour with Toucan Travel
As the island has mainly Dutch visitors, I did check that the tour guide would be able to speak some English but neednt have worried at all.
The Guide was absolutely brilliant, saying everything in Dutch and again in English
she would also make a point at each stop to go round and check on everyone.
We saw plenty of Flamingos and Donkeys, we had a short stop in Rincon and also in the beautiful beach area of Lac Bay
We then saw the natural salt lakes, and even stopped to pick up a Salt Crystal, also saw the old slave huts - plenty of time to take lots of pictures
Thoroughly enjoyed the trip and very informative

Reasons we love Tropical Travel’s Macho Scooters
#1 Friendly helpful service. They (Dennis) gave suggestions of where to visit. They took us out to the scooter and gave us a full check out so we knew how to operate, open all the compartments and lock up the bike.
#2 Great new scooters in perfect condition.
#3 FANTASTIC things to see especially on the north end of the island and this is the best way to see and feel the pace and beauty of the island. My wife particularly felt it was a friendly and safe island. We never hesitated to go anywhere.

Did a group island tour with Raymond who never introduced himself in English. Tour was supposed to be in English and Dutch. For every one fact in English, there were a dozen facts in Dutch. I would not recommend them to anyone who does not speak Dutch.

Not quite a complete “review” as we will be doing this tour Feb 8 2020. Complete review to follow. Any tips from others ? We are a group of 7 adults and this is our first time.
So far communication has been great, transportation seems to be provided.

Bonaire was such a disappointment.
I would never go back or recommend anyone visit.
It has a very international feel and crime is rampant. We were told to leave our rental car windows down so they wouldn’t be knocked out.
It has cold, inhospitable feel to the culture.
We have videos yes other small island and have had totally different experiences.
Do t waste your money.

I rented a scooter from Macho's for four months and have had no problems with it at all. The service in the office was perfect and also the monthly service of the scooter. You can't fault them at all. Thanks for making my life easy.

My partner, daughter and I arrived in Bonaire on a cruise ship and wanted to see some of this beautiful island without being tied to organised tours. I decided to hire 2 scooters from Macho Scooters and arranged this by email a few weeks prior. Every time I emailed they were quick with a response and answered all the questions I had. They told me where to meet them which was just by the cruise terminal. As soon as we arrived we headed to the meet point and were greeted by one of their team, he said the office was a few blocks away and took us there in his minibus. After signing all the paperwork we walked outside to get our scooters and were given thorough instructions on how to use them and even had a test ride around the car park to make sure we were happy with them. We were given information on the best places to visit and given a map. We were even dropped back off at the cruise terminal once we returned the scooters. They just couldn’t do enough for us. We loved exploring the island this way and would definitely hire scooters from here if we were to visit this beautiful island again.

We arrived in Bonaire dec.17 on Sunwings first flight to the island.We were very lucky to find this tour company in the lobby of our hotel plaza resort.I highly recommend this tour company to all travelers.They can get you any tours you would like ,a rental car and much more. this team in the office are very professional, very informative. We are returning to Bonaire in Feb and I am using there services again. You can check them out on line before you arrive in Bonaire and get your tours booked. I look forward to seeing this team in Feb and just a note all visitors the staff love Hershey kisses so bring some along to share with them. See you soon

We booked the island bus tour through Emerald Princess and truly enjoyed it! Anna was a pleasant and knowledgeable tour guide. We traveled along the coastline and learned about the dive sites and history of Bonaire. Anna was able to not only answer historical questions but also about current issues. We rode through Rincon and we stopped at the Cultural center where we could sample the liquor made from the local cacti (and believe me, there are LOTS of cacti!!). And we were able to see a lot of flamingos up close in the sanctuary. Downtown reminded me a lot of Key West.
