Div’Ocean is the best dive shop I’ve been anywhere in the world, not just Bonaire. The staff are all expert divers, know Bonaire intimately, and do everything possible to make sure you have a great time — and save money. Example: my dive group (two married couples, one from Argentina, the other from Mexico) asked Peter for a recommendation for a night dive. Why not do an ostracod dive, Peter asked? I said that I had always wanted to see the ostracods, but that they only were visible a few days of the month, based on the lunar cycle, and that it was not the right time. Peter checked a few things on his computer, and said nope, tonight is actually a great night to see the ostracods. Go to the Lake dive site, and be in the water by 7:10 pm, at 10-15 feet, with your lights off. We followed his advice, and were rewarded with a pen absolutely magical experience. As we were getting out of the water at the end of the dive, some local divers were also getting out, and I asked them if they’d seen the ostracods. They said, no, wrong time of the month, and couldn’t believe we’d seen them. I won’t divulge Peter’s secret for figuring out when it’s a good time — just swing by DivOcean. Example: we had booked four packages of unlimited weeklong diving. At the end of our stay, Div’Ocean charged us less for two members of our group who had done fewer than two dives on a couple of days, without us asking for that discount — with Peter’s wife saying “we always try to calculate it so that you pay as little as possible.” Example: when we arrived the first day, I mentioned to the staff that our wives preferred to dive 63 cubic foot cylinders with nitro, and that there were only a couple such full tanks in the tank shed, no problem, they said, we’ll make sure there are plenty such tanks during your stay. As soon as we got back from our morning dives, we found that there were now all the 63s we needed, and that was the case every day of our stay. At Div’Ocean, the staff know you from day one, and you feel like you’ve known them for years. Any equipment issue gets sorted out in minutes. Any question about dive conditions gets answered with a professional analysis of wind, tide, and other marine variables. All with good humor and cheer. It’s also super convenient to have 24 hour access to their tank shed, as it frees you up to dive entirely on your own schedule. I am not one to leave rave reviews, but this is a rave review.

My wife and I did ten dives over 5 days during our recent visit to Bonaire. We did two accompanied shore dives with Mirjam; two boat dives with Pieter; and then 6 shore dives on our own. In each case, Div'Ocean staff went above and beyond to make sure that we had fantastic dives. That included Pieter and Mirjam briefing us on the safest and best way to do our dives on our own. The equipment they provided for our rentals was top of the line and in excellent condition, and their dive boat was in superb condition. On top of all of that, the facilities they provide for cleaning and storing your equipment during your stay are great. All in all, an exceptional dive shop that we can't recommend highly enough. We'll be counting the days to our visit next year to do more diving with them. Thanks again for a memorable visit Div'Ocean!

My wife and just spent two weeks in Bonaire, staying at Caribbean Court and diving through Div'Ocean. It was our 1st visit to Bonaire. The staff was genuinely friendly, professional and very knowledgeable of every dive site that we discussed with them. My wife and I are in our 60's. Peter, Kevin and Marriam helped us select dive sites, choose entry points and plan routes. We had "the book", but they added good, useful and current additional information. They provide 24-hour access to swap tanks rinse equipment. I highly recommend this shop!

Two of us rented tanks for a week, and another rented gear for just under a week. Div'Ocean was fantastic to work with!! Super friendly and helpful, let us dry gear, and we could pick up tanks as we chose using the check-out system. Such a great week!

We returned for our annual 2 weeks dive trip to Bonaire, with the awesome Div'Ocean dive op ! It's wonderful to return each year and enjoy amazing boat dives with owner Peter and his terrific staff (Kevin, Walter and Mirjam). They take a max of 6 divers on their comfortable boat with plenty of shade and set up our equipment each AM (or you can do your own if you prefer During the surface interval they provide oranges, raisin buns, fresh water and fun conversation ! Several times Peter and Kevin also fixed some minor equipment issues that other divers had, so they didn't have to miss a dive. Our favorite dive this trip was when Peter spotted a moving dark area at a dive site, and explained it was a huge bait ball. Walter was the guide and we spent most of the dive enjoying the amazing Big Eye Scad swimming and turning together in the water. We've done 350+ dives and this was the first time we've had this wonderful experience ! Peter and his staff are also experts at spotting special creatures like Frogfish, Sea Horses and Mantis Shrimp (Photo of Brown Sea Horse attached below). And with a max of only 6 divers, each of us could get a good look at these hard-to-spot critters. Their shop also does instruction, has tanks for shore divers, provides locked storage where your gear actually dries, etc ! I'm already thinking about booking next year's trip !
